Dining at Whitehouse-Crawford is a true Walla Walla experience. Our foods are sourced from local farmers and artisans, our wines from local producers, and the dining space is a unique piece of Walla Walla history.
"Once again Whitehouse-Crawford was over the top in terms of overall excellence. Not the least expensive meal you're going to have but definitely among the best. A perennial stop in Walla Walla for us."

"I had heard the buzz about Whitehouse-Crawford from Seattle food critics and radio personalities. We were there at the end of Spring Release weekend which may not be the best time to judge a place. It clearly had been a taxing event and the stressed waiter just couldn't keep up. We asked for the fried onion appetizer but it never arrived. The food was delicious--two salads, one entree, one dessert. The pasta had a nice bite to it, the salad greens were impeccable, and the pear cake with cardamom ice cream? I could eat it every day. Will try again on a more routine night."

"Excellent food, very extensive wine list. (by the bottle and by glass), Exciting Venue. Service was not good. Needs some work! Waited too long for our salads and way too long for our Entree. (at least 35 minutes!!!) We have eaten here several times before and have not had this experience. I would give it a C-."

"We enjoyed everything during our dinner at Whitehouse Crawford. Food was excellent. Service was great and love that they have a very reasonable corkage fee. Will definitely go back."

"Whitehouse-Crawford is a Walla Walla gem. Food quality, service, and ambiance all come together here to make for an extraordinary dining experience. I have heard that it is on the expensive side. However, my observation is that it is right in line with other restaurants that stress quality. We enjoyed halibut which was done to perfection and served with fresh asparagus. Being in Walla Walla, needless to say that the wine list is impressive. In addition to table dining, patrons can also eat at the bar or sit in front of the cooking area, with its flaming oven, and watch the chefs turn food into gourmet delights. We look forward to returning."

"My wife and I had a wonderful dinner service. The tenderloin steak was great, mushrooms with red wine reduction. We are looking forward to another dinner service. Great pairing of wine by our waiter for our meal."

"Always outstanding every time we've visited. We had the calamari appetizer, roasted beet and arugula salad, the crepe with lentils and vegetables, the pappardelle with lamb ragu, and the halibut. Ut was all delicious and served perfectly. We had hosted a large party of twenty two nights prio that was held in the room off to the side. That dinner party went off without a hitch and the food was outstanding again. The salted caramel ice cream is a must for dessert!"

"Whitehouse-Crawford is consistently wonderful. Even on a packed night (big wine release weekend) the service was impeccable and the food just right. They use seasonal locally sourced ingredients and the menu changes frequently. The menu includes standard safe choices like beef tenderloin but also items like Bigo (the national dish of Poland), lamb ragu with papparadelle, and halibut with an olive orange salad. The lemon ricotta cheesecake with blood orange was perfect."

"My husband and I had our anniversary dinner at the restaurant. The notable disappointment was the assumption of the server in bringing and pouring a bottle of wine instead of the glass pour. My husband had already received his own cocktail as I ordered off the glass pour page. This assumption not only seemed to be an upsell, she also kept refilling our wine glasses without asking. Also the price for the painted hills steak seemed overinflated for the size. We did enjoy the ambiance and the trout spinach salad was delicious."

"We made our reservation for one of their multi-course special dinners. Frankly, for $95/person, we expected a bit more. The food was good though not exceptional. Each course was supposed to be paired with a libation. After one course arrived the waiter came and asked us what we wanted to have with that course. Overall, it seemed like little thought had been given to the paring and dinner, which is unusual for WHC. For $95/per, we have grown to expect better from them. It won’t stop us from trying again though."

"My husband and I had dinner at Whitehouse Crawford on a weeknight, early evening. Being less crowded at that hour, it was quiet and more intimate. We had an excellent experience for our first time dining there. The food was delicious and the presentation was superb. My cocktail, Moscow Mule, was one of the best I have ever had. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our server was exceptional--not only courteous and prompt, but served from the correct sides of the table. (I have not seen that for a long time regardless of the quality/type of the restaurant!) We will definitely dine at White Crawford again."

"We went to the Whitehouse Crawford for dinner during my recent 50th birthday celebration. Our party of 5 all thought the food was wonderful. Somewhat limited menu but everything that was prepared was outstanding and the preparations were unique. Service was also very good and wine selection, as you would expect in Walla Walla, was great."

"Second visit. Cassoulet waaaay too salty. Rib eye was perfect. The puree under the scallops--also very salty. The server was really slow to jump in and get drinks and apps going on a slow Monday. Always a really beautiful space. Next time we would dine in the bar where the service was more timely and consistent. Corkage fee is progressively increasing in price as you go--really unfortunate in a wine loving place like Walla Walla to make sharing your finds punitive."

"Have been to this restaurant several times and have had great experiences, however this time it was different, very few menu choices that fitted our group of four, way over priced and two ladies did not like their food, one dish being the chicken and one dish being a combination bowl of meat of some sort. Good service and friendly staff however. Needless to say we were disappointed and were coming back with another group in June and now will be looking for some other place in Walla Walla. Thank you"

"The only downside to our dinner was that our waiter wan't on the top of his game. He made a couple of mistakes that. The mistakes were corrected, and did not interfer in any way with our enjoyment of the food."

"My birthday was on a Monday and Whitehouse-Crawford is the only upscale restaurant in the area that is open on Mondays. I am so glad they are. Everything was great. They serve the best calamari I have ever had, never greasy, always tender, the tastiest dipping sauce. The wine, the entrees, the desert, the coffee. The atmosphere. Thank you for a wonderful meal and a very enjoyable birthday."

"Best place in Walla Walla to entertain clients and out of town guests. Hospitality is a cut above and regardless of the meal selected, preparation and presentation is great. Outstanding desserts!"

"Whitehouse-Crawford has always been a must visit for us on a trip to Walla Walla. However, the most recent visit was a serious stumble. Husband's burger, previously his top of the top list, was awful, had iceberg lettuce on it, lackluster flavor and texture. The service was AWFUL. The place was empty as well. Hate to see a previous A+ 100 restaurant stumble so badly."

"We went early on a Sunday night in January. Pretty dead, except for 3 people dining at the bar. But the waitstaff was perfect, the food was delicious, and the whole experience justified the relatively high prices. I'd like to try it again at a more lively time!"
