"We have gone to Globe several times in the last 6 months, and have NEVER been disappointed. Food is consistently good, service is absolutely impeccable. Frankly I do not understand how come the place isn't full more often, as it should be, given the quality of the food served there."

"This restaurant is over rated. The quality of the food was average. The lobster ravioli was tasteless. My black cod entree was the size of a small starter. There was practically nothing on the plate! My friend's entree was served cold and had to be sent back. Service was lacklustre. I will not return."

"Globe, as usual, prepared and delivered an excellent meal with impeccable and friendly service - although we wanted to sit upstairs that section was unfortunately closed (?), perhaps because the restaurant was only half full which was a surprise on a Friday night"

"We stumbled upon globe during Winterlicious 2011. It's been love ever since. Always wish they'd bring back the flourless Belgian chocolate cake! I love that you can know exactly where your meal comes from! Ham from Perth County, lamb from New Zealand, etc. On our last visit, my birthday, we did the tasting menu, which was a total surprise! Everything was great, as always, although we did find the lobster broth soup a little on the salty side."

"Very good food, as always, and very courteous and friendly staff. However, the dining room was almost completely empty... For a solo diner, this makes for a lonely experience. There are two seating areas - bar and dining room. I chose to sit in the dining room, because the only time I ever sat in the bar area (on a previous visit) it was so very cold in there that we did not enjoy our meal at all, shivered through the entire visit. On this second visit, I was chilly again... though not nearly as cold as the previous time. It doesn't matter how good the food is if patrons are uncomfortable! I will not go to Globe in wintertime again."

"Service was outstanding and the food was also outstanding it was one of those nights that everything seem to come together service, wine and food. The elk tartar was wonderful as was their lamb dish. The only downside was as we were leaving the the bar next door unrelated to this restaurant was being subject to comments from from some kids hanging out outside smoking, kids certainly do reflect their upbringing and type of parents they have. I do hope that such neighbors don't reflect on the Globe as this a gem in the area."

"Visited globe for the first time the previous wknd for brunch w the girls, food was delicious, and service excellent!! So i decided to go back w my boyfriend for an early v-day dinner. It is a very unassuming spot from the outside, but the inside is elegant, well decorated, and although long and narrow, it has a very open and modern feel
We got the romantic table on the upper balcony which felt private and away from the other guests seated below. We went for Winterlicious, but the reduced normal menu was too tempting for me to pass up. I had the Elk, which was divine! And sampled my dates soup, main pork and dessert selection, all very flavourful.

"Nice but a bit meh. We were there for the winterlicious prix fixe menu. Sat upstairs in a booth overlooking the main floor which seemed to be much spot than among the long rows downstairs. One table in particular was obnoxiously loud and they were allowed to carry on that way. It was a bit drafty. There are a lot of tables and staff, so it is sort of a 'high volume interesting food at a high but not outrageous price' place. The Sunday night half-price wine and the summer patio could draw us back eventually, but there are more intimate and interesting places. Service is quick and attentive if you are in a hurry."
