"I took my 87 yr old Dad there...because he loves oysters and local fare. We sat outside, it was a beautiful day. He loved it and was astounded the vodka martini was filled right to the top and the waitress didn't spill a drop(nor did my Dad!). All in all he had a great lunch should say we did...my sister and stepmom went too. It is the 5th time I've been there in 2 months...will be back again...and again....love the mussels!!!"

"great array of all locally grown, and raised foods, that were expertly chosen by the staff. a very nice presentation of all foods from salads to desserts. well worth the hour travel that brought us to the restaurant, based on a recommendation from a friend. of course, the beautiful surroundings of the shoreline adds to the experience."

"We were seated right on time, as we had an early reservation on Mother's Day (5:00). Atmosphere was lovely with fresh air and light streaming through the open windows. Service was attentive and well paced, we never felt rushed nor did we have to wait for a second glass of wine. We were all mostly satisfied with our meals which were served in reasonable portions, attractively plated and very tasty, however they did appear to have a cooled a bit by by the time they reached our table. Overall a pleasant experience and we would return."

"I tried this place for the first time the other night and was very impressed. The menu was well put together and the food reflected that same attitude. Everything we ordered was tasty and memorable. Though I didn't notice in any advertisements, this restaurant is one of those farm/sea to table places that celebrates local and organic foods. The drink menu is also well rounded and the cocktails very grown-up. My only qualm was that service tended to be on the slow side, with the server visiting the table slightly less often than I would have liked in the beginning of the meal. It was a busy Friday night, though, so I doubt it was due to anything by that. Overall, I highly recommend this spot, hopefully you'll be as charmed as I was."

"Two work colleagues and I went here after a conference. The food was very good, and the ambiance was nice for an evening dinner, The dining room was full, but we had reservations. One of the nicer restaurants in Mystic. I would highly recommend it.
One note: the wine list is on the pricier side."

"I've been here at least three times and everytime has been absolutely amazing. The staff is positive and knowledgeable of their menus. Everyone always has a smile on their face and an answer to any questions you may have about the food. The food is impeccable. All locally bought, it's fresh and new every night. Even if you think there's nothing on the menu to suit your palate, I can guarantee whatever is ordered will make your taste buds look alive. This is one restaurant I actually tell my friends about."

"This was our third time dining here and it was just as delicious as the first time.
This is my first review, so I'll describe all three dining occasions: dinner in the restaurant, lunch in the restaurant, lunch at the bar.
Atmosphere: beautiful building, nicely decorated interior. Love that you can see into the kitchen when you walk in. The bar is cozy with a few tables and about 8 seats at the bar itself. Oyster shucking station at the bar. Neighborhood-feel, warm staff.
Drinks: You must try the grapefruit martini - delicious! And while I didn't have a bloody mary, they looked fabulous.
Food: Delicious! MUST TRY: the chowder, new england style. you'll never want another chowder again. And the lobster roll - warm and perfect."

The steamed mussels are delicious as is the chowder and of course the oysters! Every dessert we have ordered is delectable. The Oyster Club is definitely the neighborhood gem. "My wife and daughter and I were given a gift certificate to the Oyster Club. We booked an early lunch since this was Easter weekend and we expected a crowd. As it turned out , we were the first group to arrive. Wait staff was very attentive , friendly and fun. So we were having a good time right from the start. The food was excellent and exceeded our expectations. We tried the New England clam chowder, their version of a cheese steak and the ladies each had a lobster roll. Presentation was very nice and food, outstanding! Delicious ! A real treat! We were not disappointed by any item we ordered. Since this was a special lunch we did something we never do: we ordered two desserts. They were wonderful! A perfect ending to our meal!"

"Third time we have been there and it gets nbetter every time. Although the bar is small and was crowded the bar staff was attentive and my Corpse Reviver was spot on. We were seated at the time we had reserved and from there the evening really took off. They have a good wine list and we chose Johnathan Edwards Stone Table Red, a good go to as one in our party is not an adventurous wine drinker. We had three different starters but the highlight was definitely the Sunny Side goose egg with fried pork skins. It was so rich and delicious it makes chicken eggs seem like a waste of time. We ordered three different entrees and all three were amazing. I wish I had more space, just go."

"Since the menu changes daily, if you see something you want to try, you'd better order it. That's how we ended up with three appetizers at a table for two. My husband enjoyed everything he got (squid in a spicy broth, charcuterie plate, and tagliatelle ragu), but my pork three ways fell short. The chop was tougher than expected and cool to the touch, as if it had rested too long while the rest of the dish was prepared. Dessert always makes up for any dinner shortcomings.
This was our third time to visit the Oyster Club. We enjoy the food combinations and thoughtfulness, as well as the good service. I find everything to be salty for my palate, but my husband likes it just fine."

"I plan to visit this restaurant as often as I can travel up to Mystic. The food was stellar, absolutely one of the best meals I have ever had. The servers were proud of the restaurant and the farm to table practice is amazing."

"Not all items on limited menu were available. Called and requested a window table, asked for on Open Tablle too, then was given an interior table, which we refused and had to wait 20 minutes for the requested table- seems trivial, but had called to confirm availability and was told no problem. Meal portions were small to average. Fried octopus was unremarkable with odd dipping sauces. Out of 3 meals only one was worth ordering again-very good steak, cooked as requested, nice size portion. Pasta was warm, not hot and small portion, unremarkable. Cheese should have been offered. Skate entree was awful-cold, bland mashed potatoes and no taste to fish. Waitress noticed not happy and asked chef to take off bill. This was a nice gesture!"

"We had been trying to get to this restaurant for over a year now. Every time we were going there an issue came up- last one being there was no power from the snowstorm..... I am so happy that I never gave up trying to get there. The food was absolutely delicious. I am a chowder-aholic and theirs rates as one of my favorites. The lobster roll melted in my mouth! I loved the extra sweet touch. My husband had the tuna and it was mouth watering.The waitress Drew was so nice and explained all about the restaurant to us. She always kept an eye on us and was so sweet you wish she was part of your family! This restaurant is definitely my go to now. I cannot wait for summer to sit out on the patio and relax!"

"For an exceptional dining experience in Mystic, Oyster Club is the place to go. Drew, our server, was a true professional, knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant and attentive to our needs. We started with half a dozen Ninigret oysters that went down smoothly with Oyster Club's delicious mignonette. The green salad with feta cheese and golden delicious apples was light and flavorful and two of us split the steak which was served with melt-in-your mouth potatoes. Although the dining room was bustling we were able to chat across the table with ease, which may have something to do with the newly installed sound panels that helped to muffle the sound of other diners. We will definitely be back!"

"Farm to Table style menu. Excellent food with friendly staff. I had a halibut dish that was excellent. I will definitely be going back. Make a reservation as it is sometimes difficult to get a table on the weekends.

"Enjoyed a quiet Saturday lunch at this lovely restaurant-- my first visit, though I was accompanied by seasoned veterans. Wow! Can't wait to return.
Fresh oysters were spectacular, as was an asian fish salad, and the house burger was one of the best I have ever had the privelege to eat. A short but well chosen list of wines by the glass, including champagne and a lovely white burgundy.
Service friendly and very attentive--
Setting (in the bar) warm and cozy on a blustery February afternoon. I look forward to a visit in outdoor dining season."

"We met another couple here for a great evening out. Food was excellent! Wine equally good! Service was very professional. One tiny complaint: There was no form of sweetener available when we orderd our coffee. We were told this is because of the restaurant's focus on all natual, locally grown fare. We found it a bit pricey ( $100./couple) but it was worth it!"
