"First time here, recommended by co-worker. Nice place for any occasion. Went for Sunday brunch, menu was great ,food was tasty. Mimosa's and other drinks mostly juice but not bad for $3. Price was great for items offered on the buffet. My husband loved the oysters!!!! Will go again for a girl's night out !"

"Atmosphere depends on whether you're at "Five" the bar side of Christopher's or the actual restaurant. Five is typically a fun place to hang out any night of the week and you will often see familiar faces. The bartenders are very friendly and the food is very good! The restaurant side definitely has a different vibe..much older crowd or families. Either way, food is always great!"

"Great new menu. Loved we could get small plates and entrees. Husband got the big filet with gratin potato, roasted tomatoes and a green vegetable (I forget what) and he loved it. I got 2 small plates, the softshell crab and the NY strip and they both were amazing! Plus our son loved his bbq chicken flatbread pizza. Very happy we are now able to get lighter fare options now as well as the higher end entrees. It's nice to see some inspiring changes because the place was starting to get a little boring and predictable. We live in the neighborhood and appreciate a independent, local place we can grab a great meal. Keep it up!"

"Little by little Christopher Daniel Restaurant has been going down hill. Our appetizer took forever to arrive at our table, even though there were only two tables occupied on a Monday night when we ate there. Our salads were icy cold, therefore, tasteless. I really couldn't tell that I was eating tomatoes. Our main dinner was ok, something that we could have ordered at many restaurants. Nothing special. Their chef better get with it."

"We looked up the menu online and saw many entree's that we liked. When we got there, it was an entirely different menu and more expensive. The food was good, but they should have uploaded their new menu when they changed it.
They were very willing to make a vegetable substition for me and a potato substitution for my husband."

"Things were much improved from our last visit. Food was great, all the specials were super creative and well executed. Local softshells with a Natty Boh beer reduction were amazing. Service was efficient, professional and well timed. We'll be back for sure!"

"Went for family lunch after college graduation. Graduation ran long & restaurant was very accomodating of changing time for a large group. Food came out quickly. Foodies in the group loved the crab soup. Rave reviews for the crab stuffed omelet."

"Another all round very good meal at Christopher Daniel. Service started off rocky because the waiter that was evidently assigned to our table never showed up after 10-15 minutes. When we flagged down another waiter we were promptly assigned to someone that could take care of us."

"This was not the very best of our experiences at Christopher Daniel. It may have been that it was Morher's Day. Server did not advise well on menu selections. Her attentiveness was just a little lacking in general. Hostess and requests made through Open Table were handled beautifully though. Would recommend to others; unfortunately just not our best night."

"We were with a group from work. Although there seemed to be enough serving personnel, it took a while for them to come to our table once everybody (6 people) had arrived. After they had notified us of the 1/2 price wine by the bottle, it took quite a while for them to come back to the table to take our wine order, and then again to take our food order. After that, all was fine, since we did not require anything in addition. Everybody really like their food (steak, crab cakes, Ahi tuna, soft shell crabs). Our table was right in the middle of the restaurant, but because the restaurant was not packed, it was okay (not great). Overall, mainly because of the quality of the food and the company, we had a good experience."

"Usually like this restaurant, BUT not this time! My husband and I both ordered a Caesar salad...the menu did not state large or small, but he ordered a small and I just ordered a Caesar...mine was 3x as large as his. My rib-eye steak was tough as nails...even though it was medium rare. The manager resolved these issues, took the steak off the bill, and charged for 2 small caesars, but by the end, dinner was a fiasco!"

"Our experience at Christopher Daniel this evening was less than impressive. Dinner was merely ok. I started with a caesar salad. It was not very flavorful and the romaine did not taste fresh. My entree consisted of grilled chicken, haricot vert and lobster macaroni and cheese. The chicken was just ok, the haricot vert was tasteless and not cooked well. The lobster macaroni and cheese - not very good. The dish lacked, well, lobster! There were little tasteless pieces, but not enough to include lobster in the name of the dish. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed."

"What a terrible dissapointment! The steak was burnt on the exterior - probably microwave thawed and over cooked. The sauces were over peppered. The hamburger was frozen and over cooked. The fries were cold. The mashers were extended with instant flakes.
The kitchen just was not up to the task of the menu.
And to think this was a favorite restaurant one year ago!
And for fine dining - how about a server without piercings or tatoos!
Will not return."

"Always outstanding! Great service (cant remember his name but we've had him a few times and he is always really great!!). My boyfriend had the blackened trout and is still talking about it two days later. He loves blackened foods and rarely finds someone that can do it without overseasoning! And the jalapeno grits were awesome!
Jackie scored again with her wine suggestion!
We try to get out to CD once a month for dinner and we are NEVER disappointed!

"(1)The flavored bread served in the basket was cold, hard and dry like leftover. (2)Items on their menu (special)were not available. (3)The sandwiches were like those served at a low quality dinner. (4)Over-priced for its mediocre quality food (even though there were linen table cloth and linen napkin....) (5)Hostess was very lukewarm and seemed bored. But waiter/waitress was very nice and quick."

"CD's was off their game on this day. A big dissapointment, they usually do a great job. The food was the weak spot the hamburger was overdone. the crabcake had a black bottom and the apple salad was brown ( as if it had not been properly strored)."

"I was not pleased with this restaurant. I have heard about them before from friends. The food was mediocre for the price. It was a bit cheaper than some of the other fine restaurants and you could definitely taste the difference. I would not to back there and I would not recommend it to anyone. I would rather get a steak from Outback."

"I shouldn't be, but I continue to be amazed at the quality of food and service at Christopher Daniel restaurant in Timonium. I took my wife there for Valentine’s Day. As expected, it was very crowded but the food and service were great. Their menu is uncomplicated but has a good variety of seafood and meat dishes. Their wine list has a good selection of domestic and imports priced from 25 dollars up to 100 dollars as well as wines by the glass. This restaurant doesn't have the pizzazz and panache of the nouveau cuisine downtown restaurants or even some of the ones nearby but if you want really good food and wines at reasonable prices I cannot think of a better place to go for a special occasion or just to celebrate the end of the work week."
