Yardbird Southern Table & Bar is owned by 50 Eggs Restaurant Group, a development and management company operating multiple concepts from fine dining to fast-casual. Founded by John Kunkel, an industry veteran, 50 Eggs also owns and operates the Lime Fresh Mexican Grill brand, currently with 12 locations in the southeast, another 7 opening this year and expansion plans for an additional 200 throughout the East Coast by 2020.

"Could eat here every night. Southern comfort food made with flair and care. Fantastic fried chicken. Great mac and cheese. Fried oysters, shrimp with grits (yes!) and biscuits all delicious. Also great ribs, huge porterhouse, surprising fish, inventive salads (warm brussels sprouts leaves was a favorite). As if Daniel Boulud grew up in Tuscaloosa. Scene inside is energetic and cozy. Outside patio has a quieter vibe, but still vibes. Lots of cool beers on tap. Terrific, relaxed servers who go out of their way to be helpful and try to prevent you from over-ordering/over-eating, but good luck with that. Plan ahead cause tables are hard to come by, especially weekends. Can't wait to go back."

"My party and I arrived at the time of opening hours. Some of our food was cold and the chicken didnt taste like the first time I was their. I really love this place and fell in love with it the first time I went. Gonna give it another try and go back. Hopefully it was just that we arrived too early. The food that came out cold was taken back with no problem and they brought out more food that was hot,"

"The food was excellent, we were seated at a table with no waitress and it took about 15 minutes before we were taken care of but they were apologetic and did give us some biscuits on the house. This probably isnt the best palce for kids- they didn't have high chairs and it was alittle hard for us to find food for our toddler (the buscuits and jelly were a hit- just not very nutritious :))."

"My boyfriend and I have been on a very strict diet for a while now so when it comes to our cheat meal we like to find new and exciting places to go. Yardbird was everything I hoped it would be and more! We shared the fried chicken and waffles (which was out of this world), the Mac and cheese (still drooling), and the house fries with bacon salt (my boyfriends favorite). Couldn't be more happy. I still daydream about the food!"

"This place is the best kept secret! Was recommended to us by friends and its everything they said. The food is amazing (differant than the usual dining menu which We loved) the service is outstanding (and we eat out A LOT) and the decor is so unigue, warm and litterally soo cool. Only one bad thing...wish it was closer to our home but we will still make the drive from Fort Lauderdale! Going back again on Sunday for brunch for our 25th wedding Anniversay!"

"You'd never know this gem was in south beach as everyone things of Lincoln Road, Washington Ave or Ocean Drive. Walk/cab a few blocks in to 16/Lenox & get some real food, Southern style but upscale classy! The chicken biscuits were awesome as were the stuffed oysters. Portions are definitely large enough to share. We also had the ribs and took them back to the hotel for lunch the next day. Hubby had to try dessert, a southern take on key lime with home made whipped cream. Missed out on the wonderful bourbons, but the beers were great.

"I made lunch reservations on administrative assistants day and what a great choice. The menu was a chock full of awesomeness so it was difficult to decide. We shared a wedge salad, then I had the fried chicken and my guest had turkey pastrami sandwich. Then we had carrot cake for dessert. Everything was excellent. I brought my leftovers home and my husband at them. He could not stop raving!All in all Yardbird made our special day even more special. I am not sure I would go there to propose, but if you are looking for good food and great service, you can count on Yardbird! A+"

"You better believe that chicken needs to run, otherwise it will end up being one of the most delicious pieces of fried chicken you will eat. Servers were extremely attentive (just on the right side of not being annoying though). The dining room is bright and airy with a little whimsical feel to it. Decent drink menu. "Ordered a drink at dinner...never came even after asking three times. Just gave up. Server informed us on sitting down to dinner that it was busy and things may be slow...I don't even know what that means? Was she doing the cooking as well? Dinner came out two minutes after salads were served even though she said she things would be paced... The music was loud. We just sat and stared through the meal as there was no point in yelling a conversation. The idea of Yardbird is great, but they need to revisit service and a more comfortable ambiance. By the way...this was our fourth visit. First time was last year and the service was great...it slowly deteriorated each visit. Rock bottom is waiting for a beer and asking three times...still no beer"

"The food is phenomenal. Their fried chicken is hands down the best I've ever had. The only downside is that the restaurant is ridiculously loud. You do get used to it after awhile, but it's a bit of a shock when you first sit down."

"The food and service were equal to the hype. A perfect experience was ruined by a pushy group next to us who tried to commandeer our space. The management was apologetic but allowed it to continue after we got up and another group sag diwn"

"Food was good, but pricey for brunch ($100 for 2 people with only one mimosa each). Throw the diet out the window - grits are super cheesy, fried chicken (these are big birds - probably not really free range yard birds) is way too much. The salads, on the other hand, are way too small. I may go back, but it's hard with so many other good and reasonably priced brunch places on South Beach. Also, a major strike for me was that they did not offer decaf coffee - only regular."

"I love this place - it is my go to for Southern food. I always bring my out of town friends (especially European) to eat here and they always love it! The service is always good and friendly and the food is always excellent. The banshee wine is my fave and the southern revival for cocktail! i will be back again soon!"

"This was our second time dining at Yardbird's. I must say that the food is very good; however, the prices seemed a bit steep as that everything is ala carte. My husband and I ordered the 1/2 fried chicken and as that he ONLY eats the breast, he felt that $28.00 was a bit much. Then to add one of their sides to the meal increased his total to $40.00. My daughter ordered the shrimp and grits (very tasty)and she was pleased with her meal. Please note that that we didn't "throw" away the portion that my husband didn't eat...we did take it home and I make some wonderful chicken salad with it but 3 entrees, 3 sides, 1 appetizer, and 3 drinks (1 glass wine, 1 crown & sprite, and 1 sweet tea) shouldn't cost $185.00 before tip!"

"I thought the place was very good. We had brunch, ordered the Fried green tomatoes, Fried Chicken and the steak/Eggs. The Fried Chicken was the best thing we ate. The portions are large so keep that in mind when ordering. The decoration is nice, but wish the place was on Lincoln or that it had a view. Other than that, no complaints."
