"Enjoyed our dinner. The only issues were the minestrone had too many carrots (and not enough tomato) and the tagliatelle with mushrooms had a sauce that was a little heavy/pasty. The house Pinot Grigio was a lovely wine. Overall, it was a lovely night. out. I would return again!"

"I have been to Franco many times over the last year and a half and have always given it high ratings. Last time we went I did not rate it because the veal was extremely tough and I figured it was just a one time slip. This time I was again disappointed. I had the mussels for an appetizer and they were overcooked and mushy. For an entree I had the lobster fra diavlo. I asked for it extra spicy and was assured that it wasn't necessary because that was how it was served. It came not spicy at all, tasted more like marinara sauce. Also the lobster was unusually tasteless. I have had this dish before at Franco and it was excellent. Also the dining room was hot, the staff new and a fine dining experience should last more than 55 minutes."

"This was our second time dining here, having returned after a delightful meal with another couple. We were not pleased with the choice of tables as they were ire toy at the entrance and our preferred spot had to be saved because " it opened to a 6 top and had to be saved for a larger party, although there was no reservation at that time , already 7:00 pm, we opted to dine outside, which was lovely due to unseasonably cool temps. The menu contained their summer special menu with 3 course meals advertised for $25, only it is not available for 3 weeks yet, after Mothers Day! This was a bit off putting and I noticed every diner attempting to order from it and being slightly embarrassed when informed of its unavailability. My Shrimp Fra Diablo."

"First time but not last. Friend & I shared the portabella mushroom w/crab special appetizer--excellent but expensive at $16. Each half should have been served on a small plate rather than a large dinner plate--would have looked like more! Hubby had carpaccio; thought was a bit skimpy but good. Other friend had calamare--very tender & great spicy marinara. Main courses includ.Branzino (fish), chicken marsala, & scallopine Boscaiola -- all great. Hubby asked for spag. carbonara which wasn't on menu -- didn't care for it, but then, since it wasn't on menu, they didn't have the pancetta and used ham instead. Just blah. Service was excellent. Noise was moderate inside (many people sat outside) but table next to us was loud. Will go back!"

"Was expecting a great meal after reading the reviews online. Took 5 business associates, and this was one of this most disappointing meals ever. Shrimp app was over cooked, eggplant was soggy. My wife ordered the salmon which was inedible because it was so fishy. I had the veal chop parm and it was tough and soggy. The server was hovering, but being useless at the same time. He mispronounced just about everything on the menu. Horrible dining experience. Should have gone to Aglioio."

"The bruschetta they start you off with was great! We also really enjoyed or appetizer (cantaloupe w/prosciutto). The problem w/the app was it came immediately after the bruschetta and then when we ordered our dinners no sooner had they removed the app plates and literally served our meals!
Talk about a restaurant that MUST be pre-making food & just keeping it under warming lamps. To top it off, we expressed this to our waiter (along w/the fact that the veal dinner was dry & bland) who we watched take our concern to the owner and the owner NEVER came to our table! Our waiter was very good and he did the "right" thing but clearly the owner cares too little or does not have the "skin" for constructive criticism. We will NOT recommend friends"

"Disappointing experience for Valentine's evening. It was busy as you might expect but we were quickly seated and drinks were timely in coming. We had to flag down the owner to get our order taken but it was a busy night. I ordered the special--sole Francese (sp?) It looked and tasted more like grouper. It was soft and mushy without the crispy outside like you would expect. Also, it was supposed to be in a lemon butter sauce but it was swimming in heavy oil/butter. My friend order the veal chop and it was obviously overcooked--almost burned. The highlight of the meal was the Caesar salad. I'd go back just for that salad again--maybe for lunch?
Great location and ambiance but the food wasn't great."
