"This was our first visit. We will return and would recommend it to friends. The food, prices, and service was great and the restaurant was very clean. Very nice dinner out."

"We had appetisers, entrees & dessert. Everything was tasty and the decor and privacy was great for such a small place. The only negative was having to wait for 15-20mins for our table even with a reservation, but we weren't starving so it was fine."

"My girlfriend and I went to Harrison's recently. We expected good things and we got them. The selections were interesting and eclectic, and the portions were more than generous. We ate some of the best mussels I have ever had, with good bread to soak up the sauce. Also an excellent cooked brie appetizer. The biggest problem is that it was hard to make a choice! We had pecan encrusted ahi tuna and another fish for main courses: perfectly cooked (rare), with fresh veggies. We were also very pleased with their featured wine, Apothic 2011 at $7 a glass. Craft beer choices are also extensive. We split a locally-made ice cream dessert as we were pretty full by then. A wonderful evening."

"Our evening at Harrison's made a rainy cold weekend come to life. We made a reservation for two, but bumped it up to four at the last minute -- they had no problem adjusting. The food was great -- sea food and steak and great salads, not to mention dessert. Everything worked very well. We were stuck in Stowe on a rainy-cold weekend -- but Harrison's made it a memorable stay."

"I like Harrison's for many reasons. First, it has a hide-a-way flare, with it's side entrance off of the main street in Stowe. Th ambience was very good. It has a personalized feel, a casual, slow paced evening. We were greeted right away, but we did not see our waitress for a while (about 10-minutes). We ordered our drinks and a bottle of wine, but our appetizers and dinner(s) were not timely. We waited approx. 40-minutes for our meals, which was much too slow. We had a very good waitress, but the food service was like we had the entire evening scheduled for Harrison's. If we had any other plans for the evening, we wouldn't have been very happy. So, don't schedule a movie after a meal at Harrison's - plan for 2-hour plus visit ..."

"Outstanding once again. My wife and I celebrated our wedding weekend here a year ago and returned to Stowe for our 1st anniversary. We made reservations using OpenTable and requested a quiet spot to celebrate. When we called to change the reservation they were very friendly and offered to call us if anything opened up, it didn't but they returned the call to inform us and set our expectations appropriately. When we arrived, they greeted us warmly and had our original table from the previous year available. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was exceptional. We will gladly make Harrison's part of our anniversary tradition."

"Harrison's is down the street from us, oftentimes we need a reservation, but have caught them able to take us at the last minute. We've taken company there, everyone has always enjoyed their food."

"What there for a nicer meal, but service was little slow. But I honestly think the restaurant is geared towards people who want a more slow pace casual meal. Overall, I would go back and recommend."

"The two of us had a very enjoyable meal. The table was waiting for us and the waiter was very professional. The menu had many appealing items which made it hard to decide what to order. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet considering the number of people being served."

"I had read that Harrison's is a local favorite and couldn't be missed. Couldn't agree more. It is a pub but don't be deceived by that -- the menu is anything but bar food -- and it is all outstanding. A wonderful little spot."

"Very popular so make reservations. It's tiny and the food is very good. Mussels are some of the best I've had. Could make dinner for one out of this dish! I had the 5 spice pork tenderloin. Generous portion. Sweet/slightly hot seasoning. Wine reasonable- a number of choices around $30 a bottle. Our waiter gave recommendations when asked but otherwise just friendly and helpful. Prices reasonable- most entrees in the low $20.00's."

"We really wanted to go here. I was able to get reservations for 4. And then our party grew by 1. I called the restaurant as Open Table showed no availability for another person. Kathy was able to oblige by adding a seat in the aisle adjacent to our booth. Not the optimal solution. But it worked.
Our server was friendly engaging and attentive.
The food was very good. I cannot say "excellent". But everyone's meal was to their satisfaction. Personally I like a little more "punch" in the flavours. But that is just me.
I was disappointed that I could not get the special as they were running out.
In terms of value, I found it a little pricey. $275 (with a good tip) for 5 people. That's with 3 glasses of house wine and no other alcoho"

"Not very large (so reservations are a must!), but it has a great intimate atmosphere. My husband and I had a great time here and would go again the next time we're in Stowe."

"Went here our first night at Stowe, great find. Everything was great, from the friendly staff, cozy space, cocktails, food, and dessert. I never thought I would come to Vermont and have the best lobster mac and cheese, but I did. Definitely recommended."

"Made a reservation for 4:30 apres ski and glad I did. The place is small and fills up quick. Nice fireplace, great food and service! Not your greasy burger joint. My daughter had the lobster Mac and cheese and it had as much lobster as macaroni. I'm going to go back and take my wife."

"Excellent restaurant to dine in Stowe, VT. We loved the food and the service. The food is just the right portion, not overwhelming and prepared extremely well. Surprisingly, prices were more reasonable than I anticipated. Because of its popularity and limited space, it's hard to get a reservation, so need to plan ahead."

"Nice. Slow. One step off from being note worthy good. President's week - most spots put to the test during this high volume week - restaurants seemed maxed out."

"We were glad to have booked a reservation ahead of time, as this is a very good and popular restaurant. We would likely have had to wait an hour or more to eat otherwise! We found a great variety of wines, both by the bottle and glass, and new takes on traditional dishes. Our calamari appetizer was especially good, and I loved the preparation of my catfish dish - very good sauce. My husband had the Ahi tuna, done perfectly. It's not a huge place, but very warm and comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend it."
