"Easter Brunch was not a good experience - oversold and understaffed. We were seated more than one hour after our reservation time - this did not make for an enjoyable meal. Brunch is good - just not on a holiday!"

Review 2 for The Westgate Hotel - Sunday Brunch & Le Fontainebleau Room
"I was in the dog house because mother's day lunch was a huge bust and I needed a place to take the wife to where all would be forgiven. This place not only did the trick but also got me extra brownie points. The wife loved the seafood and commented how fresh everything tasted. The prime rib was top notch and that's saying a lot coming from a beef lover."

"I thought the ambiance is perfect for a girly lunch, I felt like I was dining in a Parisian ballroom. Most if the food was servered on small plates so I never had the feeling of cattle waiting for a scoop of food. And the presentation of each was also beautiful. I highly reccomend it."

Review 8 for The Westgate Hotel - Sunday Brunch & Le Fontainebleau Room
"This brunch was fantastic. I drove from Hollywood for the experience on my birthday. Some of my family drove from Temecula and orange county to check out the bruch as the menu on their website always looks amazing. One of the better brunch experiences still available in SoCal. All you can eat presented in a very elegant Hotel Banquent room(s). Great drinks, Oysters, Eggs, caviar. Menu over all is amazing... enjoy while you can!"

"Wonderful selection of food! The room is beautiful and with the piano playing in the background, it made a fantastic way to start the day. Servers were very attentive, continuously refilling drinks and offering bread."

Review 10 for The Westgate Hotel - Sunday Brunch & Le Fontainebleau Room
"The food is outstanding: many options, nice small portions so you can try the many options. The dining room feels like a French provincial drawing room. Not cheap, but worth it. Service is attentive. Only downsides are large groups that forget their manners and parents who don't teach their tweens and teens how to conduct themselves in public."

Review 11 for The Westgate Hotel - Sunday Brunch & Le Fontainebleau Room
"The Westgate Brunch was THE brunch in town for decades, but a visit in April 2013 was disappointing. The piano player played well, but quite loud for the room; the service was terrible (things like no bread brought to the table, having to wait and then ask for coffee). The food was hit and miss; they have some really wonderful dishes (the shrimp and scallop w/puff pastry was excellent) and some that were awful (prime rib overcooked and tough).
It's a much smaller crowd than it used to be, and whereas the sushi bar and dessert bar used to be in the large outer hallway, there is no sushi bar anymore and the desserts are in a separate, smaller room. But that's time for you."

Review 12 for The Westgate Hotel - Sunday Brunch & Le Fontainebleau Room
"Very nice Easter Brunch, food was delicious and service was fine. The only issue was the wait time, we were seated almost an hour after our reservation."

Review 13 for The Westgate Hotel - Sunday Brunch & Le Fontainebleau Room
"It is a classic, elegant place of San Diego. I attend on special occasions, my med school graduation with friends, my asking of hand in marriage , valentines brunch in a group of friends, and this time Easter brunch with family. Always has there been a but...and that is usually in service. This time the waiters stopped visiing our table after a while, and one was even rude with my husband.. My mom is in a wheelchair and the valet parking people would not help at all with the wheelchair.. Food is good, and elegant place"

Review 14 for The Westgate Hotel - Sunday Brunch & Le Fontainebleau Room
"The Westgate Brunch is an event you want to get dressed up for. I and my partner decided to give it a try this past Easter. The Ambiance is wonderful. The hotel exudes formal and classy. The brunch menu was a bit over the top. I will have to say that nothing was out of this world but everything was decent. The lamb and cheese were my personal favorite. I don't understand the practice of have sushi for bunch but that was there also. The only problem we experienced was trying to get the check at the end of the meal. This took us about 15-20 mins to grab someone who could handle our request. Again, if you want impress your grandparents then this is the place to go. If you want food that will leave you breathless, look elsewhere."

Review 17 for The Westgate Hotel - Sunday Brunch & Le Fontainebleau Room
"We have been to Easter Brunch at the Westgate many times, and it is a very enjoyable experience. They have a wide selection of food, and a children's section for those fussy eaters. The employees are very friendly and work hard to keep the food items well-stocked. Wait staff not as attentive though as in previous years."

Review 18 for The Westgate Hotel - Sunday Brunch & Le Fontainebleau Room
"It was a great Easter brunch. They had face painting, a bunny with Easter eggs for the kids, and a balloon maker. The kids enjoyed. They had great fresh seafood, crepes, omelets, and much more! Outstanding desser selection and also a kids buffet that was made for a kids height so they could help themselves. We would go for brunch again!"

Review 20 for The Westgate Hotel - Sunday Brunch & Le Fontainebleau Room
"Best brunch in San Diego? Perhaps. If you love seafood, caviar, and champagne, this is a find. The Sunday brunch scene is full of copious tasty dishes, all being admired and sampled by gentlemenly couples and groups of women, generally celebrating someone's birthday. The scene makes one think for a moment that they are in a European museum, with French Renaissance decor and waiters with (fake?) French accentss."

"Beautiful place and AMAZING service. Food was above average but limited selection for picky eaters. Nevertheless, I'm coming back with my family, it is worth it compared to other local Sunday Brunches."

"Went for our anniversary brunch. Was really treated first class. The matradee seated us and our server never left us without a Full glass or making sure our table was cleared between plates. The serving staff always made sure the buffet was well stocked and fresh. A really great experience."
