"The interior design of the place deserves a good praise.It looked nice,with different levels and couches,vibrant,massive bar scene,big screens and all - it looked impressive.The food was good too,even though mainly it was a bar food,but nonetheless was delicious.What spoiled the whole thing was the service!It appeared to me that servers did not know what they were doing!Managment should really look into that.Personally me,and a few people who I went with to 40/40,I don't think we would ever come back to this place."

"Went to watch the Knicks/Celtics game on Friday, 5/2. Service was VERY slow. We ordered food before the game started and it didnt come until halftime (about 90 minutes). No apology or explanation from the waitress. Other than that, the booth was comfortable, plenty of TVs, lots of energy, and love how the DJ switches on music during commercials.
I have to entertain clients and was hoping this would be a high-end place to watch sports, but definitely will not be doing that anytime soon."

"We took our friends from Italy there to watch the NY Knicks game. It was our first time there and we were nervous that it would not be fun but it definitely was and we had a great time. The food was good, the prices were reasonable and the staff was very polite! We will definitely go back!!"

"Great bar but the food was somewhat of a let down. My gf is veggie so we ordered veggie nachos, the server looked bemused as the menu states beef or chicken add $5 but we assumed veggie would be fine. A plate of plain unseasoned nachos arrived with a small bowl of hot sauce (supposedly salsa?) and some guacamole.......that was it!
Chicken wings were good, shrimp dippers were ok, but only ok.
The bar itself is amazing, and with the right crowd and the numerous tv's for the constantly streaming sport I can imagine a great night could be had.
Worth a visit but I'd eat prior!!"

"This place is perfect for a large group, very spacious. The food was really good, I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly. "I've been to 40/40 several times since I moved to NYC nearly 10 years ago. It started off as a low key sports bar w/o any cover charge where you could go and watch the game and, on occasion, catch a random Jay-Z sighting. Today, for all intents and purposes, it's morphed into a full fledged night club, complete w/ bottle service, cover charge ($10 for ladies, $20 for guys), annoying bouncers, dress codes, etc.
I took a group of 8-10 friends here recently for a birthday celebration. Made my reservation a few weeks in advance for a table. When we arrived everything went smoothly w/o a hitch. My party was escorted to our table w/o paying any cover charge and our waitress took care of us all night. Expensive drinks though."

"We were extremely disappointed with the food. It was not good at all and for the prices, we were heartbroken. We came up from Bermuda and was expecting great food at the world talked about 40/40 Club, it is merely a overpriced sports bar environment. The services was great and the manager was nice however that does not make up for the poor food and that that where we were sitting we had an obstruction in front of the television due to the height of the barriers. I will not return."

"Beware, hostess will try to enforce an undisclosed "minimum consumption" price when making reservations on special dates, like the Super Bowl. However this is not true but they do change the menu to only serve platters and packages (starting at $100)."

"The club was very beautiful! The waitresses were very nice, friendly and energetic. They were highly attentive. The music that they were playing sets the mood to be very energetic. I went there for my birthday on Monday, January 28th, 2013. I highly enjoyed myself, the good was amazing!!!!! I can't wait to return back to the club. Overall, I love the club and the cozy setting."

We made a dinner REZ and there was a private party in the main restr/club, so we had no access. Why take a REZ if you have a party... greddy... We got stuck in a private room with others... no table to eat off of so we had to get appts. Over charged us for drinks... Took 11minutes to get a napkin...
