"We'd never had fruit flavors added in to our sushi rolls. We had one roll that was accompanied by a raspberry sort of jam along the plate to drag the roll in before popping it in your mouth - genius! Also had a roll with unagi, red pepper, portobello mushrooms and mango on top (asparagus and tofu and a couple other things inside). Again, genius.
The prices for wine are ridiculously high ($52 for a bottle of J Lohr? Really?), so don't go for the wine selection or prices.
The ice cream is served in the 'ball wrapped with goo" style -- no thank you.
Skip wine and skip desert.
Go for the food, amazingly fresh and innovative."

"We come here often. This time we had the Mr. Perfect, 12th Avenue, Casino Royale, and Spicy Cassidy rolls. It was the 2nd time we've had the Casino Royale roll--the first had a jalapeno sauce on the plate. We thought the flavor of the pepper masked the taste of the sushi, but this time there were shaved jalapenos on top, instead of the sauce. This method allowed us to control the amount of pepper in each bite, which was GREAT, since each person in our party likes a different level of heat. Thank you!"

"After plenty of disappointing food experiences this week in Seattle, taking my out of town guest to Momiji single handledly redeemed Seattle's reputation as a foodie's paradise. Excellent, fresh sushi on a Saturday night is such a treat. The menu boasts a vast selection of creative rolls that go from tangy to spicy to sweet, plus a dessert menu that is equal in freshness. The fish was fresh enough that it even kept well until the next morning for an outstanding breakfast treat. I appreciated spot-on cocktails, a well formed wine menu, and prompt and efficient service. It's an #1 spot in my opinion."

"Food selection & craft cocktails were fantastic. Server was friendly but forgot a few items ordered and could have been a bit more prompt. We sat with empty glasses for quite awhile after each drink although we were ready to order another round. She was delightful though and always apologized & corrected the error quickly. I did appreciate the fact that she took time to answer questions about the food & drink menu. We were a larger party and perhaps hard to hear each of us. Ambiance was beautiful and I will definitely recommend dining here!"

The only complaint I have is that it took a long time for the food and the drinks to come out. When we first arrived, the bar was 50% full, the dining room was about 20% full.
I would give another try and if it was an isolated situation for that day, I'd definately come back but if it's their norm, then I will not come back."

"This is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. The food is great, I always leave incredibly full, and I think the quality of the fish and the price of the dishes are a great value compared to higher-end sushi places which are priced too high and you only order a few dishes, but are still a little hungry afterward. And it's only a little more than lower-end sushi, but more than twice as good. I love their other menu items beyond sushi, which they really thought about, not just as an after thought. I spent my birthday here, I come for casual dinner with friends, it's beautiful inside, yet casual so I can feel comfortable dressy and in jeans."

"Momiji was phenomenal! Everything was perfect, from the servers, waitstaff, seating, and most importantly, the food was outstanding. We loved the ambiance. We were seated in the back room with a pretty view of the outside zen garden. The hostess sat us even though our party was going to be 45 minutes late. They were so kind to us and accommodating. So refreshing. We have been very discouraged by our recent restaurant experiences, but this reaffirmed that there really are incredible restaurants with top notch food and service. We will be back often. Loved it."
