"Mike's Bistro combines an elegant menu with a relaxed, spacious atmosphere in a convenient Upper West Side location. Chef Michael Gershkovich creates and executes a contemporary, internationally inspired, Glatt Kosher (OU) gourmet menu with seasonally-inspired nuances."
"Excellent food, good wine list, what else could you ask for?
It's not cheap but if you ever want to celebrate a special occasion in style, this is the place. I had the marquez dumplings, shared the chateaubriand, and finished with a terrific dessert. Total bill, with a bottle of wine and 2 drinks for four people was a bit over $400, but we got a ten percent discount with the kosher advantage card if you pay cash.
If you're really hungry, try the chef's tasting menu. 7 courses for 110, 130 if so the wine pairings.
I've been there three times and never had a bad experience."

"Luthien, Quuen of the Elves, is the world's greatest waitress. She is attentive, effiicent, and charming. Plus, the most gorgeous girl in NY! She put our dining experience over the top (in addition to the great food she brought from Mike's kitchen, of course!). Also, thanks for bumping up our reservation time after we got to the restaurant 45 minutes earlier than anticipated. We were seated immediately and loved the location of the table. Also, we enjoyed shmoozing with Mike at the end of our meal. He, like Luthien, is charming and delightful!"

"ordered a veal special for 2. food was mediocre and the dish was 110 dollars. 110 dollars? a costumer must be warned of the price if it is not printed on the menu. in addition this did not even come with sides. ordered the green beans and there were not more than 10 in the dish.
honey fig dessert was delicious."

"A regular fave of mine, I always go with the duck. They seem to have changed it a little and no serve it with white asparagus which really doesn't give anything to the plate and when my companion ordered a (gasp) steak well-done, they suggested an off-menu cut which lends itself to such a preparation. Our waitress had a very laid back attitude, which is fine, except she took our order and we never saw her again. Also, at least 2 tables which ordered after us got their food before us and left us wondering if we were forgotten. Overall, very enjoyable!"

"We had the rack of lamb special for two. I was the best lamb either of us had even had, and my dining companion doesn't keep kosher so she has had ample opportunity to sample many fine NYC restaurants."

"Out experience was great! Our waitress spoke with intense passion as she described the menu. The food she recommended was delicious and we couldn't get enough. The only down side is the portions were too small."

"$30 for chicken, and that does not include a side dish? No thank you! One of the appetizers is the same that they used to make at Mike's Pizzeria. At the pizzeria, it was $9. At Bistro, it is $19, and the portion is smaller. The food is good, but not for that price. Spent $100 on two appetizers, chicken and French fries. They also automatically include an 18% gratitudity fee, and though I thought I recalled reading it would only be applied to groups of six or more, it was applied for just the two of us. Not much point arguing that because we would have tipped it anyway, but I thought it was pretty presumptuous."

"We all loved the food and consider it one of the best kosher restaurants in New York. The one thing that I was disappointed in was the B rating in the window and I wondered about that. Otherwise, we couldnt have had a better experience."

"The food was delicious--the best kosher cuisine I have ever had in a restaurant. Actually the best food in the neighborhood. Prices were high, but the food made it worth it."
