"We really love the buffet and the rest of the family that eats meat, loves the variety offered. Pork choices are unfortunately too dry, but that happens with pork. Lamb is very rarely offered. Both the chicken and beef is brought around alot. We were there for 2 hours and I think the cheesy chicken was brought around 4 -5 times and offered, but the leg of lamb only once. We had to request it to be brought again. Then they came with the leg of lamb and also the lamb chop which was thoughtful and they responded pretty fast. But the two lamb eaters were pretty full by then. We highly recommend this place to others, as it is a great experience and the food is awesome. They just need to rotate ALL of the meats consistently."

"The initial servings were tasty, and seasoned properly, but as the night wore on the meat came to our table salty and dry. The noise level was a bit too much with the music playing which really doesn't add anything to the meal as far as I am concerned. Bring me good cuts of meat well prepared and I don't need live music or a girl shaking drinks for all to watch."

"Everything you would expect: nice appetizers, bread, salads, and side dishes. All of the meat was wonderful. In an old building with a beautiful interior....and TV's. I hate TVs in restaurants...so their credibility went down because of that. It was crowded and very loud. The wait staff did a fine job considering how crazy it was."

"When they said 17 different kinds of meat delivered to your table, I never imagined it would be like this! Next time I won't eat for at least 8+ hours before going as it's expensive and you definitely want to eat your fill! The salad bar only option was good for a vegetarian in our party. Next time I might be tempted to do that too as there was excellent Salmon, cheese and other filling items also available at the salad bar. Loved the piano playing and occassional singing by guests and staff alike. Very fun atmosphere."

"A rather strange experience. Not sure what the owners are going for. There's a pianist up front playing interesting renditions of popular songs (not bad....just every few minutes you pause and try to figure out what song it is). Then there's a caipirinha girl in leather shorts and a halter top standing on what looks like a bell-boys cart enthusiastically jiggling..err..shaking drinks. WTF? And don't worry about dressing up, because though meals run $50-60 with a drink or two, most people are wearing t-shirts or sweatshirts and sandals.
The food was OK. The salad bar was good but kind of hard to navigate (I can imagine it being crazy on the weekends). The BBQ was somewhat hit or miss. Some overdone, others were great. Overall, average."

"This place looked a little like a remade Chinese restaurant. Fixed up well, but a little place. The host was pleasant and the salad bar was good. The medium well selections of meat were delicious and I love getting to sample a little of everything. Definitely worth a try if you are a carnivore. Servers had little in the way of personality."

Love the way they keep coming back to the table to slice yet more meat... best lamb chops ever (and one of the wandering carvers when in the kitchen to grab us some more chops right off the flames). If you are celebrating a special occasion, this is a great place to go... the birthday song they did for our table so amazing, loud, and very fun."

"Authentic Brazilian food, we loved it! Great live music and we were treated like royalty. The servers were extremely polite and the atmosphere with live piano music was lovely. "Extremely disappointed!!! Went with a group of 5, have been to several other Brazilian Steakhouses before and this one was terrible! Meat was under seasoned and over cooked! We like medium rare to medium & everything coming out was well done. We complained to several servers and to the manager and they agreed to bring us something not so undercooked. After waiting 20+ minutes (had already been there 1 1/2 hours) we gave up and left. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!"

"It was a wonderful experience. Not one time did I feel rushed during the dining experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable on the meats, and wine selections, taking time to interact with our children.
A nice touch was the live piano player; we did appreciate the dancer, but found the space available is not sufficient for her to dance around in her costume without interrupting the waiters, servers or bumping the other diners. Gratefully, that did not take away the experience."

"The variety and quality of the food is amazing. Brazilian buffet with crab legs, soups, and casseroles + as many as 42 different grilled meats is boggling. I just wish it wreen't so expensive, for 5 people the tab came to over $300 (including tax & tip) + the valet ($20). Don't come for dinner, the lunch tab is better value."

"One of the best, if not the best churrascaria I've ever frequented. We went for dinner on a saturday night. It was very busy and reservations were a must. We chose a busy time in order to ensure there were lots of fresh skewers coming out of the kitchen. Each cut of meat was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The feijoada was outstanding. The rice seemed more Americanized than Brazilian. The farofa was top tier. The pudim de leite had just a hint of coconut, was of perfect texture and consistency. It was the best I've ever had. Overall, the price is high but this is one place where you get what you pay for."

"Very disappointed that the meat was, for the most part, way overcooked and dry. Not up to the competing "Brazilian Steak House" standards. Great salad bar options. I won't return to this particular restaurant."

I never thought I would say stop the meat, but there was soo much deliciousness coming around I had to take multiple breaks.
Lots of seafood options if you dont like meat, but not sure it would be worth the price."

"This was me and my husband's first time dining here and when the hostess showed us our table she didn't ask if we had been here before so when we sat down we didn't know what to do. Thankfully, one of the meat guys came over and told us there were no menus just open salad bar and of course the all you can eat meat. The meat was delicious, especially the filet mignon and the sausages. This was a valentine's dinner for us and there was a piano player that came around asking for any requests and played some nice classical musical, very nice to set the romantic tone as we happily gorged on meat."

"This is our second visit to Rei do Gado. It's a fun dining experience with an excellent selection of meats and vegetables, everyone should go here at least once. Great place to take clients to dinner as there's something for everyone and a vibrant atmosphere. Really talented piano players for entertainment as well."

"The waiter that seated was rude. She did not greet me walk far in front of me put the drink menu on the table and walk away before I reach the table. Only how I knew which table was mine because it was the only one empty. I got better service going to Dicks down the street and they are meant to be rude. I'm still waiting for hi and welcome. Your wont get your money worth if you don't eat meat rear. The atmosphere was very pleasant, overall good but for me first greetings is always the deal breaker."

"Service at this restaurant started out good, the waiter introduced himself and we ordered mojitos to go with our food. About an hour into service, one of the "meat servers" dropped a piece of meat on the floor after cutting a piece, instead of him picking up or returning to pick it up he just walked over it. We pushed it out and along with it napkins and trash that were already under the table, the waiters continued to walk past it. We continued to get only ham and chicken with cheddar variety-even after my husband asked for additional meat. My husband got a refill on my mojito but, even to the end of service. We waited 45 mins, for the check, waiters just passed by us. My husband nearly lost it. We will not be returning here to dine."
