A converted garage features soaring ceilings, garage doors that open onto the patio and outside bar, with a wood fired grill, raw bar and a vast craft beer list all make for the hottest restaurant on the Eastern Shore. A nice dinner for two or a quick burger at the open kitchen counter, you can always count on great food, friendly service and fun. Opened in November 2010, Brasserie Brightwell is located in the Easton Market Square at 206 North Washington Street in historic Easton, MD and serves French-inspired cuisine with an American twist. Owned/ operated by brothers-in-law Chef Brendan Keegan & Brian Fox of 208 Talbot fame, and Bob Yabroff.
"The food was outstanding...I recommended the brussels sprouts, which were prepared in a way I've never experienced, and wonderful. I had a crab cake which was full of crab with little breading, great.
We decided to eat outside because was noisy inside but outside had some traffic noise. A bit of a bar scene type restaurant, with outstanding food."

"I have had lunch here several times before. Both my companion and I were just a little disappointed. The sandwiches seemed heavy and a little dry. Not what I have experienced in the past, so I will give it another try."

"Chef and Owner Brendan Keegan is creative and attentive. His dishes are straightforward, not complicated, but rich in flavor. The same can be said for the ambiance and the service. Not fussy; just plain good. The menu is filled with classic favorites with a twist. And the specials are always inventive and seasonal. One of my favorite restaurants on all of the Eastern Shore."

"Food, ambience and service are always great. The chef does a great job with regional specialities with a lot coming from the South. We have never been disappointed and have been coming here since it first opened."

"My wife and I took my mother out for Mother's Day. We all ordered a different fish dish. All were excellent. Drinks were very good as were the appetizer and sampler dessert. This is my new favorite restaurant in Easton."

"I took my mother here for lunch and it was very nice. Service was a bit slow, it seemed like they got a bit busy and didnt have enough staff. The food was great- mussels are the best in town! We were able to sit outside and enjoy the weather. The dinner and bar scene in the evening are a bit more lively and it is a youngfer crowd (just an fyi). Overall, it was enjoyable and the food was nice."

"I love the crab bisque. It is flavorful and not creamy. Sherry really punches it up. Both my husband and I got steaks that were delicious. Service was fast, maybe a little too fast."

"We picked this place off of the web to meet friends at as a half way point between where we live. We were very happy with all of our food, and the service was very good as well. After dinner we hung out at our table having drinks while we caught up. We were asked to move to the bar area since they had a reservation for that table in 30the mins. We gladly moved, but the table stayed empty, as well as other tables for the duration of our stay. That bothered me a little, but not enough to make me not enjoy our time there."

"Great service. My husband had to send his steak back and they could not have been nicer. Plus we were loud and no one seemed to care. Can't wait to go back"

"Finding parking on a rainy night was a problem, but once inside the restaurant, we were blown away by the ambiance. The food was great, service was outstanding and the wine list was adequate. We would definitely recommend to others and plan to go back whenever we're in Easton."

"Good food, nice place; little to offer dairy/gluten-free diner. This is a lovely restaurant with what looks like a very respectable wine list, more than decent service, and some neat menu offerings--IF you eat gluten and dairy. If not, the choices are pretty slim. There is almost no effort to make yummy food that was never intended to include dairy or gluten. Nothing dairy/gluten-free for dessert but plain fruit, maybe sorbet. The wait staff were super helpful but don't get that "just removing the cheese" from a dish typically means removing a crucial element and that a dish designed to include bread or cheese will, without it, usually be kind of flat."

"The food was great but the service was awful when we went for dinner for 4 on a Saturday night (3/30/13). It seemed that the wait staff was overwhelmed, and our waiter repeatedly forgot about us. They were very apologetic, and the food was great. I'll continue to go..."

"We live over on Kent Island about 30 miles away. Even having to travel the distance I still try to hit BB at least 3 times a month. The staff is always friendly, and the food excellent. If you like burgers, I would bet you, you won't find a better tasting one anyplace! There seafood is also excellent and always fresh."

"it was talbot restaurant week (our 3rd night out) and most places had a very limited menu, but NOT here! lots of choices, UN-scaled down portions (a 16 oz pork chop!!!), and one free house drink/wine included. the duck confit appetizer could have been a lunch. both the mousse and a bread pudding 'something' were excellent."

"The grilled oysters and mussels are amazing as are the french fries. The basic mussel dish has a broth that you want to drink up. We had to ask for a bread basket in order to enjoy the broth. The grilled salmon had a little to much sauce for my taste, yet the fish was cooked to perfection. Our beers took a long time finding their way to our table. Overall nice dinner."

"Taxidermy is gross to me, especially on restaurants. Only vegetarian option besides salad is a sandwich that has breaded and fried zucchini . No healthy items here. Service was fantastic and other decor was lovely."

"Set in an unassuming old storefront, Brasserie Brightwell, is a very interesting place in the center of bucolic Easton, MD. In the warm weather their many outdoor tables would be really enjoyable but in early March their inviting inside space was excellent. The menu is French , excellent French. the house wine in glasses and carafes is also French and a very nice pour. Their baguettes, salads and mains are all prepared with a light touch , the baguettes being as good as any in Europe ( or Saigon). Salad Nicoise was superb with fresh tuna cooked to my taste, rare. Try the steak/frites for dinner! this is a real find in Easton. Try it!!"

"Always a treat to go to Brasserie Brightwell. The menu is the same but with little tweaks, additions and extras, all the time. The wait staff simply couldn't be better, friendly and professional. The wine list is a treat to devour with your eyes before savoring your selection. The food is delightful, sometimes comforting; sometimes wonderfully surprising. I love this restaurant!"

"We had a wonderful dinner on Saturday,1/26/13, and returned the next day for lunch. The best sandwich in Easton.....the BB BLT!!!!!! Soft, chewy roll, sweet tomato aioli, crisp thick-sliced bacon (wood-smoked) and fried trout. OMG! The best!!! Of course, perfectly matched w/ a Brewer's Art Resurrection Ale. Beautiful.
The huge burger w/ blue cheese was also a hit! Homemade chips and fries were a great addition."
