Kres brings big city atmosphere, energy and sophistication to Downtown Orlando in the form of a stylish Chophouse & Lounge. Contemporary and trendsetting design elements are merged with the classic architecture of the Kress Building on Church Street. Kres is a progressive American chophouse with a Mediterranean influence. The menu changes daily and the restaurant features an extensive wine list, semi-private rooms for special events, a casually upscale lounge and late-night menu. Kres is an original concept by Urban Life Management Restaurant Group.

"Had a wonderful experience and the food!!!! Well we can't say enough about it! Anyone looking for a fine meal and fine wine should come here! Our server was the best. He recommended not only the good things on the menu (ie: the bread pudding!!!!!) but the right beverages to go along with it."

"We arrived at 5:15 for a 5:30 reservation. The host replied.....great, we can turn your table quicker. We thought he was joking. He was not. We were rushed through drinks, apps, and entrees in 40 minutes.....could barely finsh one and the other was waiting......fast $170.00 I ever spent. Very disappointing,"

"Strarted with the Calamari "Vesuvio" for an app then ordered the 8oz filet topped with gorgonzola for me & the salmon for her with the shrimp/bacon mac-n-cheese and creamed spinach for the table... the calamari was great, not too much batter & the calamari tasted fresh and the garlic aioli was a very nice touch. The filet was a little underdone but had very good flavor and the salmon was perfect. As for the table sides, the mac-n-chesse seemed to miss the mark, it wasn't bad but could have done better. There's a similar dish at a fish place in near Lake Eola at Thourton Park Central. The creamed spinach on the other hand was great, instead of the spinach being chopped, it was the whole leafs which was different but good."

"Made a last minute reservation after a long day in Orlando. Despite the fact that the reservation was 15mins before the kitchen closed the food was still amazing and the wait staff was very friendly! Prices was what you would expect for good dining. They were also very helpful with the menu. The drinks were good too! Was a good experience which I will most definitely repeat next time I'm in town!"

"This was our second time in Orlando and also our second time at Kres. The waitress was very helpful and very nice. The food was so good, just as it was a year ago when we were there. There were three of us. One had the filet mignon which was outstanding. It was very tender and had the charcoal grilled taste to it. The other two had Beef Wellington which was excellent. It was also very tender and was cooked medium rare. The two different sauces that it came with were very good. The white chocolate bread pudding with a scoop of ice cream that we had for dessert was out of this world! I would definitely recommend Kres Chophouse. We can't wait to go there again...wish we lived closer!"

"Lobster / Veal combo was bland. Lobster was overcooked. Rib eye steak was undercooked and of average quality. Waiter never brought bread out like other guests. Good news is that he comped the first round of drinks because we had to wait 25 min (despite restaurant being empty). Also he comped the espresso (because I actually ordered capuccino). Experience wasn't worth the price compared to other restaurants in same price range."

"The food was average. Nothing special about it. The best thing we had was the fresh baked bread and the calamari appetizer. The tuna was tasteless and the filet was OK. For those prices a side should be included. The shrimp and bacon Mac was OK. Lacked flavor. Ores was hyped to use but disappointed. Manny's has better food for a fraction of the cost. Barns was pricey but worth the hype. Steak melted in my mouth and it included along for the price."

"We came for a leisurely/intimate dinner to unwind, but were disappointed. Food was excellent and service was superlative. However, the ambiance left much to be desired, as did the noise level. The decibel level was so high that you could hardly carry on a conversation (without shouting); our ears were ringing after leaving the bar/restaurant. The establishment could use some noise-dampening/absorbing features in its wall, ceiling, and booth design. In the final analysis, unfortunately, it was much too noisy to be enjoyed fully."

"The service at Kres was superb but the food was less so. We ordered the Australian Lobster expecting an amazing dining experience and were sadly disappointed when it became obvious that it was dry and over cooked. We were celebrating a special anniversary so neither of use wanted to cause a scen and send the food back but it is always bad when the side dishes ordered are better than the main course item."

"We made reservations for 6pm to make an 8pm show at Bobb Carr. The reservation was made online and we requested a booth. We arrived about 15 minutes early and told the hostess we were going to have a drink at the bar and we'd be down shortly to be seated. At 6 o'clock we told the waitress we were ready to be seated and as requested on my online reservation we were seated in a booth. The food was excellent and the service was very good as well. I would definitely recommend Kress and I'm sure we'll be back again."

"When to celebrate Valentines Day with my wife. The restaurant as a whole was very nice. It had a nice ambiance and an impressive looking bar. Once seated at our table, we noticed that it was wobbly. It was mentioned to the server, nothing was done. Food was ordered; an 8oz. Filet (Medium), 16oz Ribeye (Medium-rare), Au-Gratin Potatoes, and Rosemary-Chedder Mashed Potatoes. Food was brought out relatively quickly. 8oz Filet was rare. It was sent back only to be returned about 5 minutes later. Filet was still not cooked properly. Wife didn't want to wait any longer to eat. Drinks were okay; Waiter needs to taste drinks before he recommends them. Over all, if Im going to spend $150+ I will go to Ruth Chris Steakhouse......"

"This restaurant advertises for late night dining, but we got the very strong feeling that they didn't want us there at 10:45, even though the kitchen is open till 12:00. While the food was good, the service was really disappointing."

"Service was excellent and the place was beautiful. Entries were a bit lukewarm when they arrived but we went ahead and still enjoyed them. When we mentioned it to the server he obviously told the manager and we were given free deserts - which were delicious too."

"A dining experience can be wonderful or a disaster based on table-side service. Thankfully on Valentne's Day we were in good hands. Our server, Joe, made absolutely sure that our evening was nothing less than perfect. It was an extremely busy night, as we expected, and yet we never had to wait for anything. The timing of courses was perfect and the meal was exceptional. The dining room staff from our greeting and seating by the hostess and manger, the manager stopping by our table to check on us, and ending with a most pleasant goodbye as we were leaving, made the evening complete. This is why we choose Kres whenever we want to be sure our dinner is special."

"As always, we had a fabulous meal at Kres. The food was superb and the service even better. Our waiter anticipated our needs and even picked a great wine on the first try for my extremely high-maintenance friend who always needs at least 3 samples before picking a wine. This place has the best wine list in Orlando in my opinion and is very accomodating to people with dietary issues like myself."
