"The food is authentic Greek. Its the best, but; don't give your car to valet unless you want problems, park yourself. The music is pounding loud and you will not be able to carry on a conversation. Guests are packed in tight so don't expect to find a cozy spot and civilly talk, it won't happen. Managers are really nice, wait staff great...if they dropped the volume of the music, it would help."

"The belly dancing on top of the tables was fun & entertaining. Crowd participation in dancing with. The belly dancer fuels moments of cheering and laughter.
The food was great, we had a goodt time & enjoyed the people watching. Families with children should probably coordinate their eating at Opa during non-dancing hours."

"Our dining experience at Opa was very mixed. Service was poor and unorganized. There were different parties going on and they may have catered to them . Took forever to get our appetizer and bottle of wine. Food was great and authentic. We enjoyed the crushed garbanzos which came with the bread. Not kid friendly at all. Fight broke out among patrons yelling at children. Restaurant did not look to defend them."

"Inside is where the action is, but also ear shattering noise level. If you want the action inside, bring earplugs (seriously)! If you're there for the delish food, eat outside. No ambiance, but water & boat traffic view and NO DEAFENING MUSIC!!"

"We have been loyal OPa visitor's for a decade now. We were disappointed to learn the South beach local closed last year. It was our regular spot. We visited the Hollywood venue this time cause it was closest to our condo. The dancers were great, especially the east Indian looking one. She is VERY talented & fun to watch.
We ordered the all out $40 per person (we were 6) menu assured we would be satisfied. I was the only person who resited & I ended up being right. We rec'd 2 orders of Saganaki for 6 people. If you like Saganaki you'll know that's not enough. 2 Pikilia plates SMALL scoops of various spreads & 1 dish of the hot Pikilia plate. We found ourselves dividing the portions to LITTLE BIT SIZES !
I was DISAPPOINTED"

"The Food was awful, soggy, tasteless. We have been there off & on since the day they opened and never before could we all say that the food was near inedible and the SERVICE was worse!!!!!!! A glass of wine was ordered by the servers recommendation that tasted like tap water. It was sent back and Oyster Bay was reordered...it was so off that it was undrinkable....the table beside us told us that they STOPPED ordering any sort of liquor because they think they water down the drinks...that is exactly what it tasted like. AND to top it all off THEY CHARGED us for the undrunk, returned drinks...Totally unprofessional!!!! This Opa is good for young kids wanting to have fun. But If you want to go for dinner and pay top dollar this is not for you."

"Everithing was fine until the check arrived. The charge automatically 20% tip in your bill witch seems very high for the kind of place and the quality of the service provided. More then a 15% is to much for this place."

"In Hollywood, as everywhere else, there is the good and there is the bad, but mostly the bad. This is especially true when it comes to Greek food in Hollywood, which runs the spectrum from lowest-common denominator dolmades to made-at-the-table hummus--the latter, and much else besides, a must-have at Opa. (Make it yourself. Its simple, fun, and the results are always sublime.) The keftedes, "naked" souvlakis, melitzanosalata (think babaganoush)--all stand apart from the local fare.
If you're feeling festive, head for the belly dancers inside. We prefer the dockside option--the nightime boat traffic neatly compliments the seafood. As with nearby GG's, the parking lot overflows with pricey cars. But here they come for the food."
