"We reserved a table for Father's Day and were seated as soon as we arrived. Our waiter Brad was knowledgeable and engaging. The food was very good: flavorful and seasonal. The noise level was a little high, but I put that down to the cement floors. The other diners seemed to be having as good a time as we were.
Highly recommend the gnocchi and the duck.
We will definitely be back. Wooden Table is a treasure in the Southglenn neighborhood."

"We really loved the Wooden Table! We had tried another great ace down the road, but were seated so close to another couple we felt almost rude not engaging them in conversation!
Not here, our table was a nice distance from our neighbor. . The food was wonderful. I recommend the mussels for an appetizer. My husband ordered gnocchi and that was fantastic! I also recommend scallops. Nothing we had here wasn't extraordinary.

"It just missed being a great experience. While some of the food was outstanding, other parts were disappointing. One of the dishes wasn't hot, albeit very tasty. The guest attire ranged from cargo shorts and rope sandals to evening dresses. Early in the evening the service was over-zealous and petered out to nonexistent. We will give it another shot for sure."

"We chose Wooden Table to celebrate the arrival of a good friend from Asia who appreciates fine food. What a disappointment! The pasta course was lovely, the high point of the night. The entrees arrived room temperature, and the duck was medium although it was ordered medium rare. All 3 entrees went back to the kitchen where they were "warmed" somehow, rather than being redone. Now the duck was even less rare and dried out. Our waitress avoided the table after being chewed out by the manager, and never offered an explanation as to what happened. The manager apologized profusely, without explanation or a recovery strategy.
In our book, apologies do not atone for serving $31 room-temperature entrees of over-cooked meat."

"Gary, the maitre d is friendly and knowledgeable. Jordan our waiter was right on top of things. His knowledge of the wine list got us a pefect selection for our dinner. My wife had the manila clams and sausage. An outstanding dish. I had the monkfish and it was the best preparation of this fish that I have ever had. We shared a wonderful chocolate pot de creme to complete a charming and wondeful evening. The Wooden Table is a south town gem."

"It was a great evening! We grabbed the last bottle of a moderately priced, but great wine. The lamb carpaccio salad and my sweetbreads were both taste treats. The main course of homemade gnocchi with veal shoulder and the my wife's duck were both expertly prepared. Wait staff was extremely friendly. The only downside was the large and rather loud party seated in the middle of the restaurant.
We're looking forward to our next trip to this outstanding eatery."

"We have again enjoyed their great food beginning as we always do wi their mussel appetizer. For a Wednesday the resturt was very busy which translated into overwhelming noise. This as well as our service was sporadic left us a little disappointedwith the evening. The noise levels will begin to impact their business if not addressed."

"Our group of 9 met at the Wooden Table for a going away party. It was a good fit for all of us. Eight of us enjoyed wine and drinks with one having iced tea. One person had just a large salad. Most enjoyed large pasta dishes with two of us ordering salad and a main. Everything was very good with the duck being "over the top" wonderful. Service was spot on."

"We love love love this place. Housemade pasta is amazing and so is the fried oyster mushroom salad. Have been at least 8 times now and it never disappoints. Nice to not have to drive downtown every time we want a "fancy" meal. The view is of the TJ Max across the strip mall but who really cares when the food and scene are perfect!"

"I took my husband here for his birthday. It is right around the corner from our home and I had heard lovely things about it. We had a wonderful dinner. The food was excellent. Although, it is Italian cuisine...it is not typical of what you would expect to find. Everything we ate was phenomenal. Our waiter (Jordan) was very pleasant as well as knowledgeable. We cannot wait to go back and try something different off the menu. I highly recommend this place."

"This was our 5th or 6th time at the Wooden Table and we live 35 or more miles away. Many times when we are "in town" we try to arrange a dinner there just for the food. Our table had four different entrees; the lobster with linguine was deemed " excellent", the monkfish with scallops and sea urchin was "fantastic", the beef tenderloin was cooked to "perfection', the veal cheeks were " moist and tender". Everyone loved the Proscuitto de Parma salad. The grapefruit sets this salad apart from the ordinary.
Good wine, great service, wonderful company and "WOW, what food" makes for a great combination!"

"The Wooden Table is an amazing fine for us. The food is wonderful and we definately have some favorites. This was our fifth visit to TWT and we were not disapointed. TWT was a bit noisier than we are use to; however, I believe it may have been due to the city wide fundraise which we take part in each year."

"We've been to the Wooden Table several times and always thought the food was incredible. But this time was even better. It's rare to find gnocchi in the US that are really good and appropriately light, but the gnocchi on the spring menu at the Wooden Table were spectacular.(I grew up in an Italian family and ate gnocchi regularly. I've also sampled gnocchi all over Italy so I have lots of experience. My family calls me the "gnocchi queen"!). I also had the veal cheeks which were melt in your mouth tender and tasty. The brodo (broth) in both the gnocchi dish and the veal cheeks was especially delicious, with wonderful flavors and not too much salt. We will definitely be back again soon."

"You just can not believe how outstanding the Italian food is here. All the pasta is handmade in the kitchen and the food fresh with brilliant combinations of taste treats. All in my group demanded more bread so that we could sop-up the sauces on our plates. It has been a long time since everyone at the table was freely sharing bites with one another to decide which of the fantastic dishes was better than the next. It was not a fancy atmosphere but rather relaxed and comfortable. The servers were prompt and knowledgeable on the dishes and wine. I loved this place and will be back many times to come.
I will have a tough decision on which I want next time, they truly were all amazing!"

"Jordan was our server and did a fantastic job; he remembered and used our first names throughout the night, politely checked in us and made sure we were always satisfied, and replaced missing silverware after I would leave it on a dish that was taken away... HUGE bonus. Food was wonderful, too!"

"My husband and I tried it for the first time, and were really looking forward to a nice romantic dinner out to distract us from a busy week. It was OK, but nothing special. There was not one thing that stood out to make this a special evening. We didn't feel rushed, but there was nothing about the place that made us want to linger, either.
We shared a salad, which was good, and mussels, which were also good, though not noteworthy. My entree was so uninteresting I didn't even bother to finish it- and I love Monkfish.
There isn't much they can do about being located in a strip-mall, but all of the tables face the parking lot, with no effort to soften or hide that fact- you just sit and look out at cars.
It was, in a word, uninspiring."

"First time for dinner. We had a very nice evening and the food was top notch. We split a gnocchi and had the veal cheeks and monkfish for entrees. Apparently Monday night is half price wine night when you buy two full entrees so that was a nice surprise.
A couple minor negatives in regard to the hostess. When we walked in she called us "guys". I really, really dislike that. She seated us at a table for four. After my wife sat, I sat down next to her. Then the hostess questioned my choice! Are you sure you want to sit there?
I like siting next to my wife so we can talk quietly. Apparently the hostess thought I should sit across. Good grief! Hopefully the owner will give her some lessons in hospitality.

"When we arrived, we asked for a table next to the wall -- there was a lengthy discussion about our choice, the restaurant was only 25% full, and they finally seated us at the table we requested. The kitchen has quite an attitude about substitutions, and that was a problem for us -- substituting a vegetable for a shrimp cake seemed reasonable to us, but not to the kitchen. The food was delicious, but there are many terrific restaurants in the area, and the attitude put us off!"

"The Wooden Table is a great place to unwind after a long day. The ambiance was good but not so cosy to be a romantic place. The staff were relaxed, very friendly and were knowledgeable about the menu. Two of us split an appetizer (chicken liver mousse), salad (arugula), pasta (linguinie w/ pork belly - yum!) and entree (monkfish) - and had plenty to take home too. The food was amazing and prepared with a deft touch - no one flavor overpowered the others, and the portion sizes were perfect. Definitley coming back."
