"Liked the wait staff better than the food. I picked a mushroom tart that was really heavy and I would only give it a 4/10. The waiter deserves a 10/10. He was great and very attentive. Nice place. We ate outside under the heater and listened to the water fall."

"The service was wonderful, and the outdoor patio is a serene departure from the cacophony of Santana Row, but the food lags way behind. To be clear, I was not expecting Michelin starred cuisine from a hotel restaurant, but the food sorely lacked finesse in terms of both flavor and preparation. Given its location, setting, and wait staff, the opportunity exists for Citrus to distinguish itself from the chain restaurants on Santana Row but the food itself is definitely holding it back at this point."

"I read the reviews for Citrus and was excited to try it but overall I was not impressed. The food was good (the menu descriptions sounded great!) but nothing mind blowing or special. The wine list is very basic but has some good bottles on there. The services was very slow even though the restaurant was pretty empty (on a Sat night). So slow in fact that we decided to skip dessert in favor of getting something someplace else rather than waiting. The restaurant definitely looks cool and has a cool vibe but when we were there it was pretty empty and not very vibrant. Overall it was ok, but nothing special."

"Lots of positive changes as of late and much more "grown up" feeling than my visit last October. They started us off with a fun amuse-bouche and a refreshing hamachi sashimi/hearts of palm salad which nicely prepared your palette. We ordered the diver scallops, which were cooked perfectly with a nice crust. My guest ordered the bison, which was good and lean, but I enjoyed my Kobe beef special much more since it was richer in flavor. Service was excellent and attentive with the perfect balance of check-ins. Overall a very good dining experience and look forward to dining here again."

"Took my girlfriend here. It was her first time and she absolutely loved it. Upon being seated, the Hostess assisted my girlfriend in picking a bottle of wine that she thought she would enjoy. "Very nice, modern decor. The food was good, but not excellent. Our son enjoyed the Salmon and couscous, my wife and daughter had the filet--while the meat was well prepared the coffee sauce was decidedly underwhelming and overpowering. I had the flatiron steak which was superbly prepared but agian the sauce was an unexpected and strangely sweet taste. Citrus has a lot of potential. A few menu adjustments and it could move up a notch or two."
