"Took the wife to Park Plaza Gardens for Mother's Day. Food was exceptional, very well prepared, nicely presented. Service was attentive and efficient. Menu selections were limited (due to special occasion) but still offered good choices."

"Our party consisted of two couples celebrating our 20th and 25th wedding anniversaries. The food and atmosphere was quite lovely, but the service was too slow for a restaurant with only a few tables occupied. We did complain to the manager who was very apologetic. Fortunately the food and atmosphere made up for the unattentive service."

"Requested a Heineken Light and was told the restaurant didn't carry it.
2nd choice was a Heineken. Waiter came back and advised restaurant was out of Heineken.
3rd choice was a Stella Artois. Waiter later advised they were out of Stella.
4th choice of Yuengling draft was delivered about 15 minutes after initial order. Waiter
did not charge for the Yuengling. Appetizer and salad courses were delivered on a timely
basis but excessive waits for both Entree' and Dessert courses. Had to park about 2 blocks from front door. No valet service available even on a Saturday night. Food was
a little above average but not spectacular. Ordered champagne to start and waiter failed
to ask if we were celebrating a special occasion."

"Loved being right "in the mix" on Park Ave., Winter Park, FL! Great bartenders, servers, and ambiance. We sat outside...on the sidewalk. Suggest only parties of 4 or less on sidewalk due to city mobility restrictions, but the restaurant helped us out with our 5...we just scrunched in and were still in compliance.
Three of us had the Grouper...one stuffed with crab. Two of us asked for simply grilled Grouper....suggest you ask for a LIGHTLY simply grilled. The only reason I didn't give the restaurant 5 Stars is because the fish was slightly dry from a little heavy hand on the pan searing /simply grilling. One had steak...loved it! One had salmon....loved it! Overall? Great evening!"

"Not a good night for Park Plaza. We really like this restaurant but have not been there recently. My crabmeat stuffed grouper was flavorless and the couple we were with could not eat their meal because it was over cooked. The restaurant took the charge off their bill. They need to address some obvious problems in the kitchen and bring back the fine dining I remember from the past."

"Service was outstanding. They literally would fill your drink and remove your place the second you were done. Food was amazing. Had the stuffed grouper and added a side of scallops. Someone in my party wanted a mix of menu items and the chef was happy to prepare it the way he wanted it. Ambience was great, low noise except for the train that went by. Wine was a little expensive. Overall very nice place to dine in Winter Park. Will definitely dine there again."

"It is ashame that a waiter can ruin a dining experiance. Had lunch, first customes. Waiter no personality, did not no ingrediance of food. Result food with onions when specifically asked for none, that he wrote down. Never came back for 20 mins. Onions we hidden so could not see when served. What a disappointmemt."

"We dine frequently at Park Plaza Gardens, and have for years. We love the bar; Shannon and the other bartenders know us, know what we drink, and go out of their way to be friendly. We have never had a bad meal, nor have we ever had bad service. The staff is efficient and well-trained. Most have been there for some time; in my opinion, the fact that the turnover in personnel is low shows the stability of the restaurant and its management. I highly recomment Park Plaza Gardens for any occasion. It is our favorite Orlando/Winter Park restaurant."

"The atmosphere at Park Plaza Gardens is beautiful, extremely romantic, and feels like you're in a small European square - including a talented pianist. Service was perfect - warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the drinks & meal left something to be desired. First, my martini wasn't chilled properly and the Irish coffee had way too much Irish to be enjoyable. For dinner we started out with the mussels which were nice, but the gazpacho was bland. The salmon didn't have much seasoning, had a slightly fishy taste, and the veggies were under cooked. My husbands steak was great and cooked perfectly, but the potatoes were almost watery."

"We have had brunch here several times that was very good. However the dinner that we had here was very poor. I ordered a carb stuffed chicken breast but when it came to the table it was a poor crab mixture on the plate with a piece of fried chicken on top of it and was not very good. The short ribs where very fatty and very tough. This experance was very disappointing."

"Took my secretary there for what I was hoping to be a nice quiet relaxed lunch. Arrived and noone was at the host stand, the waitress did not seem happy and questioned my simple order of a salad and they seat us next to the kitchen where several of the staff who were gathered around the kitchen area were carrying on very loud conversations etc. The gardens area itself is really cute."

It seemed like our waiter was in a poor mood. perhaps he was having a rough day, but it still put a damper on our meal. then someone must have opened a window or door in the kitchen and we were freezing from the breeze coming in. i've eaten there before, but after that experience i've had no desire to go back."

"Had reservations for lunch. Upon arrival the restaurant was empty of other patrons. Seated in a nice booth with wonderful view, however moved 10 minutes later only to be told a large group had reserved the area. Relocated across the room, ordered soup and salad, soup arrived 15 minutes later, and after 45 minutes left as salad had yet to be served. In the interim other patrons, who were obviously regulars, were met with attentive servers in a timely manner. Sadly, after former wonderful memories, will not return."

"I don't often pay over $100 for a two person meal, so I always expect a lot from a place when I do. The restaurant was a nice place to eat once, but nothing spectacular to make me go back. The restaurant was pretty much empty - its quite obvious that the bar is this places main attraction as it was busy the entire night. I don't drink, so the bar had no interest to me. Bottom line - the restaurant is not this places main money maker, so it is not given the highest of attention."
