"I took a chance on this restaurant when my mom told me she wanted to go out for Mother's Day anywhere that wasn't Italian or a steakhouse. I'm so glad we tried it because it was wonderful! Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive - gave great recommendations and a dessert on the house. Our appetizer (baked brie with fruit) was something I didn't expect to be that excellent. I had lamb with a reduction sauce which was very tasty, while my mother had chicken in garlic sauce and devoured it. For dessert, we had a raspberry sorbet dipped in white chocolate and some tres leche cake - both very sweet! Overall a nice, clean atmosphere and I would absolutely recommend this neighborhood gem to others."

"Excellent food and service for our first visit! Dining area is open and well lit. Little bit noisy but not overwhelming. My husband and I both had the specials, as well as the special appetizer. I would suggest when reading specials to also mention the price. It would not have effected our choices, but think it is helpful. Our waitress was attentive and answered all our questions."

"We had a Groupon for tapas. They were delicious-Spanish meatballs, stuffed mushrooms, empanadas, and a chorizo that was crisped at the table in a little flaming brazier. Service was polite and fast without being overly attentive. The only thing I wish we had known is that the restaurant is BYOB."

"This was my second visit to Barcelona Bistro and I was once again impressed. I ordered from the regular menu instead of the tapas menu. I started with the beef spring roll special. The flavor was amazing. I ordered the Camarones Enchilados for my main course. The flavors were again amazing and the portion size was just right. I finished the evening with the homemade cheesecake and coffee. Delicious. Service was excellent and there was plenty of time between courses so you never felt rushed. If you want the quality of a city restaurant in the comfort of a suburban setting, Barcelona Bistro is the place. Don't forget your favorite bottle of wine as this is a BYOB."

"We bought a "groupon" for 6 tapas. We took our daughter and son-in-law to Barcelona Bistro as they had never had tapas before. Tapa menu requires ordering 2 per person. That meant we got to try 8 different tapas. We all had a chance to pick 2 we thought we'd like. The presentation for each one was excellent. Server suggested we order all at once as some tapas took longer to prepare than others and therefore we fininshed three and then the others were ready to serve. It was great to have the groupon in order to try tapas, nice of Barcelona Bistro to have that offer. We've eaten there before and had full dinners, which were also very good to excellent. It's a BYOB which helps cut cost, so we could order their wonderful desserts."

"This restaurant offers an eclectic menu with pretty much something for everyone. As a BYO, you can dine affordably while having drinks with dinner. The wait service was outstanding. One thing that has us a bit miffed though. The chef has made the rounds each of the three times we've eaten there, but hasn't approached us yet. Leaves me with the impression that some people are treated better than others, perhaps even when it comes to portions or 'extras'. Chef needs to spread the love to some relative newbies!!"

"Food was outstanding ! Being foodies, we usually go into Philadelphia restaurants when we go out to eat, but we had a groupon and being it was Byob, we decided to try this place. Food out excellent! Veal shank was cooked perfectly, sauce was tasty. My husband ordered ba shrimp entree and the sauce was out of this world. Would definitely recommend ! Hidden in downtown Pitman, I was pleasantly surprised. I felt the ambiance could have been a little more upbeat. The open dining room needed something. But food was spot on."

"Great to find Spanish food in the area, ESP tapas....flavors could have been little more ..well, flavorful with small plates, was highly disappointed with papas presentation...I've never seen small thin slices done like that over my years.... Started me off nervous, but the mussels, clams & pork were all greats & the presentation on Chorizo was great.... I'd suggest doing potatoes cubed, possibly along With chorizo...possibly baked/broiled.... Flavors are great together.....
The Creme brûlée was best I've ever had! Hands down!

"It was a very special Valentine's Day dinner. We brought our own wine to go with a terrific meal. They had a special Chet's tasting menu or you could order off of the regular menu. We went with the latter and our waitress timed the delivery very well. All of our food was marvelous. While the room was full, the romantic couples spoke quietly and the sound level was moderate. We really enjoyed the experience."

"We were intrigued by the menu, BYOB option and location. We were using a Groupon and had tickets to an event at the Pitman theater at 8. Service and food were up and down, a table of 4 sat after us, were served and finished before us,hmmmm. We ended up looking at our watches wondering if the 2 hours were allowed for dinner was not enough. No time for coffee or dessert this time, maybe next time. I loved the beet salad,but the spanish meatballs were cold in the middle-and I'm not sure what made them spanish. Nice place to go if you r going to the theater,but would not make a special trip."
