"We ate at Juniper for a graduation celebration and were quite pleased. I ordered the Grilled King Salmon and it was delicious. I do think there could have been more vegetable with this dish, the greens were sparse and I left wanting more. My husband ordered the steak andhe was happy. Being a meat and potatoes guys he was bummed to see green beans on his plates, but they were seasoned well and cooked properly. I also had the lemon martini and it was AMAZING!"

"Was looking for a new food experience downtown for a date night. We had made reservations and we were seated promptly. The atmosphere was casual with a somewhat open dining floor plan. The service was courteous and very good. It was obvious our waiter was well trained in both the wine list and menu. My beautiful wife had lamb chops, something she has eaten only once before and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the pork brisket which was delicious. Both of us tried one of the many speciality salads, again very good. We finished our meal sharing an apple and peach cobbler. It was recommended by our waiter and did not disappoint. I would like to come back and would recommend this to someone looking for an enjoyable, casual dining experience."

"I ordered a ribeye steak but received a lesser quality cut of beef; certainly not a ribeye. Furthermore, the steak was not cooked properly. It was excessively seared causing it to be dry on the outside but also under cooked in the center of the steak ( the meat was cooked too quickly). The Bixby Green Salad was average. The lettuce was slightly bitter and not very crisp. Our waitress provided very good service and was very knowledgeable. Too bad the food did not live up to her billing."

"Justin Thompson's flagship restaurant never fails to impress. The duck two ways, with a butternut squash puree and a hot apple salad was divine. A chef who can make a side of brussell sprouts magical is, well, inspired. Our server was sensitive to our tight time schedule. i would allow a leisurely evening next time. This restaurant deserves your full time and attention. One of our favorites."

"Although the food was good and our evening was quite pleasant, I wouldn't say Juniper lived up to all the hype in previous reviews. Was not impressed enough to return."

The drink menu was innovative, and the wine menu was lovely. The staff was professional but pushy. For example, the hostess inquired whether or not our party would be done by a certain time as the table was reserved later on that evening. Having worked in the front of the house in fine dining restaurants for years, I always wanted to engage in this practice myself, but because of manners, and the price of the menu items, I refrained.
For the price, the food was bland and sub-standard. I was particularly disappointed with the Chicken Fried Steak. While the presentation was novel, and the portion substantial, for the price, I expected flavor and taste. However, the ingredients used were quality."

"Charming restaurant tucked into on old building in Downtown Tulsa. Lunch was very good and plan on trying Juniper for dinner soon. A little pricey for lunch which may account for it not being very busy during the lunch hour on a Thursday. I definitely recommend giving Juniper a try."

"We ate at Juniper when visiting Tulsa from New York. It would fit right in if it picked up and reopened in Tribeca. The food and cocktails were bold and tasty. A great experience. I'll be telling anyone I know who is going to Tulsa to eat there."

"Small Neighborhood restaurant with really good unique food that is prepared using local ingredients. The pork belly appetizer had great flavor but not enough fat for me. The scallops, salmon, and gnocchi received rave reviews at our table. The restaurant was full and the noise level was perfect....we could carry on a conversation at our table without straining to hear. Juniper is a reasonably priced restaurant with great food, atmosphere, and service. We'll be back!"

"The fried risotto cake was scrumptious, good suggestion from the waiter. Chicken and dumpling soup was out of this world, I have never had it quite that way, pleasantly surprised! We also tried the cheese tray along with the shrimp. I had the rosemary chicken, my husband enjoyed the scallops. Our comrades dined on the trout and park loin. Food was so fresh and delightful. Atmosphere was wonderful, we ate with another couple and we loved everything so much that we turned our 4 course meal into 3 hours. The time flew by. Wine flowed very well, after dinner drinks were consumed as well, and we were not disappointed. Thank you! I could go on and on... Waiter was excellent! Staff was very inviting and said goodbye as we left."

"This was out first experience with Juniper and also our anniversary. We wanted something special and memorable and that is exactly what we got! I mentioned on our reservation that it was our anniversary- we were seated immediately and there was a card on the table wishing us a happy anniversary. The staff was very helpful with food and cocktail recommendations. We had a variety and enjoyed everything for the most part. The mushroom fritttes were excellent! We liked the flavor of the pork belly, but there was very little actual meat. The salad was amazing and the poached egg on top brought everything together. I had the lamb chops which were perfectly cooked. The chocolate brioche bread pudding was a treat! We will definitely return!"

"Second time to Juniper within a week. I have to say our last experience was better. It seems the restaurant is at its best when dealing with smaller parties. We had 5 in our group this time and the experience was just not the same. We were seated at the table closest to the kitchen, which made for a very busy, loud atmosphere, although not obnoxiously so. The server was kind and polite, but not overly attentive. It was our first experience with him. Our entrees were very good, but not great, as I have come to expect from Juniper. It was a very busy Friday evening and I feel that we got lost in the shuffle a bit, but we will definitely go back based on previous experiences. Next time I will definitely request a table away from the kitchen."

"Perfect place for dinner before the theatre. Park across the street from the PAC and enjoy a wonderful dinner within walking distance May need to allow extra time if you order dessert. Order the chocolate bread pudding when you order drinks. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. We certainly will return again"

"We had reservations for Saturday night and the place was packed. Normally I love this restaurant but for some reason the kitchen was taking forever to get food out to the diners. We are perfectly content with a slow dining experience but this took over an hour to get the main courses to our table. Our waiter was attentive but there was not much he could do when nothing was coming out of the kitchen. I had asked that my lamb chops be "pink and not red". They were very red but considering the wait we had experienced I said nothing. There were a lot of people in the kitchen so I'm not exactly sure what the problem was - other people appeared to be waiting a long time as well for their food."

"I was very impressed with Juniper. We had the duck/foie and a calamari special for appetizers and the lamb and duck for dinner. The duck/foie appetizer was ok, everything else was great. We finished it with the cobbler for 2 which was great. They don't have a lengthy wine list but its packed with quality. Service was also good. What is very notable is this: the food quality is on par with almost any other place, but their prices are far more reasonable. I would definitely go back, even if the prices were higher. The fact that they aren't makes a return visit a no-brainier."

"Service was excellent. Bread was wonderful with nice chewy center and flaky crust. My pork loin was a little dry but tasty, my wife had the duck two ways and it was delicious. Have eaten there many times and think they have the best coffee in town (French press) and the dessert (chocolate brioche bread pudding) is to die for."

"Simply the best brunch I have ever been served. Truly warm and friendly service. Locally sourced food, great cocktails...perfectly executed hospitality. Did you ever get served hashbrowns that were perfectly seasoned before they came to your table? I did at Juniper...first time ever. The pork belly Eggs Benedict was sublimely wonderful. Even the coffee was world class. My wife and I can't wait to return!"

"AMAZING food! We had the food off of the weekly special menu, which was Mardi Gras, it was spot on!! We love New Orleans and after eating off the Mardi Gras menu, we felt like we were going to walk out of the doors of Juniper right on to Bourbon Street! We eat at Juniper regularly and are always impressed with the wonderful food and impressive service!"

"This was our first time at Juniper. The service is excellent. Juniper is another Tulsa restaurant that is working on farm to table foods. Extensive drink menu. Crab cakes are a wonderful appetizer. Excellent entree choices - Duck Two Ways and Raptor Ridge pork loin. The Juniper cobbler is a special treat."

"After reading reviews online, we were excited to dine here. The experience itself was underwhelming and made me wonder if the staff had been sandbagging the reviews. Our server was distracted, my medium-rare ribeye was uncooked and my wife's pork ran the gamut between jerky and tartare. If begged, I'd give it another chance. But by no means would I walk in thinking "best restaurant in Tulsa," as many of the reviews too enthusiastically proclaimed."

"We enjoyed our evening at Juniper very much! The food is unlike any that we can get anywhere else in Tulsa, with the exception of perhaps The French Hen. The first time we ate at Juniper, it was too noisy for us to be able to talk, so we intentionally chose a 5:30 reservation this time and had the restaurant to ourselves for much of our time there. By the end of our meal, it was getting noisy, with people enjoying their evening. My husband ordered off the weekly special themed menu--Mardi Gras. He loves Cajun food and said the oysters were the best he has ever eaten. I had the duck two ways, again. I love the unique flavors of the tarragon apple duck salad with the duck confit. The food and service are superb!"
