Joe G"s is a family owned and operated Italian restaurant is nestled in the heart of New York.
Established more than 20 years ago, this stylish, renovated restaurant has an ambiance with dark Mahogany wood paneling, mirrors, and scenic photos of Italy to create a warm and cozy dining experience. Despite such seclusion, Joe G's is clearly sought after: shoppers, families, couples and business types are typically found here. Our specials are truly delicious, the combination of ingredients are distinctively paired creating a succulent dish you will enjoy. You can't go wrong with our standards entrées, which are prepared amazingly fresh to order and our pizzas are an obvious specialty. The wine list is extensive and for the most part Italian, with a great choice from well-priced house wines to the top of the range supertoscans, service is sharp and attentive and are knowledgeable with our wine menu.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
"Prices listed on the menu were deceiving. I made a reservation for this restaurant after reading good reviews on several sites -- many of which suggested the good value for the quality food. I reviewed the menu before making a reservation and was excited to see several dishes for well under $20. Unfortunately, the menu provided at the restaurant listed entirely different prices. By the time if was all said and done, I would rather have opted for a nearby restaurant with a theater price fix."

"Much better than it's more famous neighbor, Patsy's, Joe G serves impeccably cooked Italian specialties in a cozy, warm space. Even the agli olio (spelling?) is a cut above that served elsewhere. Try it!"

"A well-located restaurant that serves good food, that's it. My issue is that the prices that were on the Open Table menu are 20-40% lower than the restaurant prices. Since we had a group of 9, that really added up."

"The menu prices were about $10/plate more expensive than what is listed in the menu section of Open Table. The food was really over-priced, and had we known how expensive it was going to be, we would have gone somewhere else."

"It was just opening when we arrived so it was very quiet. Within half an hour the place was packed. The food was very good although I'm thinking we should have waited a bit to enter so as to get the full effect of "today's specials". I really wanted soup and the list hadn't been made available yet so I missed out on the minestrone."

"Good basic Italian food in a quiet setting (although we ate early, before a show). Attentive service allowed us to eat dessert and still be in time for our curtain."

"I met a group of old friends and had a very nice meal at Joe G. The place was not crowded and was quiet emough that we could talk comfortably. I am not a foodie, but enjoyed my meal and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I think maybe the menu on-line is out of date as the prices seemed higher than what I expected. With that said, the prices were not out of line for the type of restaurant or the neighborhood."

"Not outstanding but good meal in a typical , quaint New York environment. Good service. Fun place to go. Would recommend for a fun evening. If you want outstanding food, go somewhere else."

"This was the first time eating here and we really enjoyed it. I had the gnocchi which I considered the second best in the city. I consider one other restaurant as the best for gnocchi but I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner. I will definitely be back."

"Was a nice restaurant. The waiter was ok, he could have been more attentive, but overall he was polite. The food taste good. Its a regular italian restaurant."

"We really enjoyed it. The food was very good and the staff could not have been nicer or more attentive (without being obtrusive). Great place for friends to meet and have conversation. However, I was not expecting it to be housed on the lower level of a hotel.
I wish I had known this in advance."
