"The food prepared exactly as ordered, waiter was excellent, explaining menu, warning of super hot plate. When the waiter was serving another table a waitress noticed we needed coffee and showed up with the pot and she was not asked. Great service. I like the large table setup for two. Parking at Northbrook IL is great. We most likely saved $75.00 by not going into Chicago with Stick-um-up parking and red light cameras."

"My husband and I dine here a few times a year. This is the first time that we were not as happy with the experience. The waitress was not as friendly. The booth behind us had a very loud girl at it who needed to use an inside voice. The steak was not cooked right...this happened last time as well.
I am sure we will return again, but for the price, we expect a better overall experience."

"This restaurant has become a favorite. Great food. Does not feel like a chain. Elegant service. Excellent servers. One of the servers, Muhammed, is a star. There is also a gentleman who has done the valet parking for years who is a gentleman and a delight, whom we look forward to seeing each visit.
The last two times we have dined here, one small problem of the music in the dining room being overwhelmingly loud, which took away from the experience. We did ask our server if she could turn it down, and she did, but someone turned it back up later. Just too loud for this nice a restaurant."

"The experience was very good to excellent. My wife was very pleased with her meal. I ordered the 6 oz. Filet with 3 shell fish special. The filet was good, but not as good as in the past. "The hostess greeted us with "Happy Anniversary", there were little red hearts decorating our table, and a card wishing us a happy anniversary. We enjoyed a delicious complimentary dessert with "Happy Anniversary" scrolled in chocolate on the plate. Very nice little surprise touches to make our evening special. Our entrees, cowboy steak and filet were superb, and our Osso Buco appetizer and baked potato and garlic mashed potato sides were delicious as well. We had wonderful service from Mohammed. We were very happy with our choice of restaurant for our occasion."

"We have been at Ruths Chris a few times now and have never been disapointed before,until now. Most of the food was good, but my husband and I both ordered the steak and seafood trio, his steak, he ordered MR and it was well,very over cooked and both our lobster tail portions were very over cooked and almost dry. The taste was there but not what we ordered.

"We went to Ruth Chris for our 25th Anniversary Dinne. It was spectacular! The food was the most delicious meal I've had in 5 years..I ordered the fillet and lobster..my husband the fillet and seafood trio. The service was impeccable..they even sprinkled tiny red hearts on the table and gave us a special, luscious dessert with a candle.
The ambiance is great ..so romantic..big fire place..even the valet who took our car was sooo kind..he walked me up the stairs and into the restaurant before taking our car.
We had a most enjoyable experience at this restaurant!! Thank you Ruth Chris of Northbrook for making us feel so special on our special night!"

"My only two complaints were the bartender we had before we sat down was extremely rude and our sides came out cold. I was there with my parents and my girlfriend and we had all ordered drinks at the bar before we sat down for dinner. The bartender asked for my ID as well as my girlfriend's ID, which is fine, he's just doing his job. My girlfriend had grabbed the wrong purse at home so she didn't have her ID with her, which is no big deal, her fault for not checking before we left. When she told the bartender that she had forgot it at home his attitude towards her changed severely. He made the other drinks and then walked away not bothering to ask my GF if she would like something else like soda or a water. Otherwise everything was great."

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I was a little disappointed with our last visit to Ruth's Chris! I always get my steak well-done & they always do a GREAT job of cooking it perfectly...where it's not burnt on the outside, but it's still cooked enough that the cow isn't mooing. AND, the steak still melts in my mouth!!! :) BUT, this time it was burnt in several places & that's even though they seemed to have butterflied it, despite the fact that I specifically asked them not to! So, that's actually 2 strikes against them this time! We don't go there regularly because of the prices, but when we like to make a night of it, we've usually been able to count on getting a quality meal for what we pay, but that was not the case this time!!"

"Weird server for such a nice place. We agreed to sit in a table where we sit side by side. I actually hated it and won't do it again. Very expensive not to be totally happy. Good food."

"The food was classic American, but it was such a high quality meat with outstanding preparation that it was not the least bit predictable. It was outstanding in an understated way. No doubt that it was a bit pricey, but for a special occasion, it was definitely worth it. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Very good overall experience."
