"The food was decent, however, very expensive. The view and location was the best thing about the place. For one reason or another, there were a couple of kids walking their dogs through the patio dining area where we were eating, which I did not like. Then a couple came in with 2 kids who were running back and forth through the patio area, which I did not like. Most expensive daycare/dog park I've ever eaten at..."

"I was profoundly disappointed with my dinner at Lido. This was the second time my wife and I I ate there. I will NOT go there again. I ordered the roast beef special for my wife and I which was a $40 entree. The special was anything but special. The cut was less than 3/8ths of an inch thick (one of the skimpiest cuts I have ever had) The meat had so much gristle I could only eat about half of it after vigorous cutting. The sauce was OK but the meat itself had little flavor except for fat. My wife also had the same special with similar results.
I am an accomplished amateur chef.

When I made the reservation I mentioned it was my wife's birthday, however there was zero recognition of that fact when we were seated and served."

"My college roommate and I live in nearby villages, but after having Fish Friday recently, we have a pact that we will start coming weekly to experience the daily special lunches. A salmon sandwich did not sound good to me, but it was a surprisingly delicious treat...cooked and seasoned really well. The price was more than affordable, the ambience was a quiet elegance; we were able to have a nice conversation without blaring music and nearby noisy diners.

What really impressed us was the waiter, Brandon, who was friendly, available though not hovering, and knowledgable about the menu. The manager also dropped by briefly and showed a sincere interest in our dining experience.

"The food was excellent. The abalone appetizer was great, the size was small. Not sure if that's normal. The scallops were my favorite, sweet. The halibut was cooked just perfect not overdone. The pork chop was a good size piece of meat, season crust great but almost borderline too salty. The filet mignon was good, the side whipped mashers with truffle was another favorite part of the meal. The mint gelato was refreshing, almost had a gelatin texture and not as icy. The muse was a nice gesture but not really doing anything for the taste buds. I liked te live guitar player but it was kinda too loud. Overall would come back again & refer to friends. Brunch looks like lots of options on the menu. Oh yeah, the service notably prompt and great!"

"It was a wonderful dining experience. The service was excellent, as we enjoyed a cocktail before dining and they were so accomodating. The dinner itself was Excellent. The staff was very friendly as well as management and the executive chef even took time out from the kitchen to visit with some of the guests.

We would definitely recommend The Lido to anyone for fine dining whether a guest of the resort or not it would be a dining experience to be remembered."

"We went for the Valentines Day dinner and ordered the Lobster, which was a $20 increase above the already $75 dollar a plate meal. They were tiny, overcooked and hard to get out of the shell. Not at all oworthh teh money. The rest of the food was good, just not worth almost $100 a head. The server was pleasant but took her almost 15 minutes to get us a drink when we first sat down. The restaurant itself was OK. Nothing really interesting although I assume in the daytime they have a nice view. If a view is all you want, there are better places to spend your money."

"We've dined here several times, this evening the warm duck confit salad with butter basted egg was outstanding, our main course of duck breast with pink peppercorn mashed potatoes was perfectly cooked, but by the time it was served it was warm, not hot. The by-the-glass wine list is amazing and generous. However, this evening the service out of the kitchen was very slow due to some staffing issues. Our server did his best but when food isn't coming out of the kitchen his efforts were really hampered."

"The service was good. We were not happy with the food. While most of the food was fine we do not feel it was up to the caliber of this type of restaurant and price. One of our entrees, halibut, was definitely overcooked and not good at all. Again... the rest of the food was fine... just not special. The manager reacted very nicely to our comment about the one entree and gave us a healthy discount, which we appreciated. We would consider going back... only if somehow we could be reassured that the food would be better."

"This is our 2nd visit to the Lido, and both have been fabulous experiences. The food is simply amazing, and the service is wonderful. Both times my husband has gone with the server recommendation, and both times he was more than pleased. The only minor hint of less-than-fantastic in the whole experience was that although the restaurant was not crowded at all (we went on a weeknight), all the patrons were seated at tables next to each other making it feel cramped when it didn't need to. Overall a fantastic experience, though."
