A convergence of California cuisine with contemporary Italian influences takes center stage at Bella Vista. The oceanfront restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner created by Executive Chef Alessandro Cartumini and his talented culinary team with a focus on the freshest seasonal, local and organic ingredients. The bountiful daily breakfast includes fresh juices, pastries and local fruits, while the legendary Sunday brunch, featuring fresh local seafood, is a must. Known as the Central Coast's premiere "power lunch" spot, Bella Vista serves up a mix of California-Italian cuisine midday. "We love this place for lunch because all of us live north, south and east of it's location,it's our perfect meet up spot. When we are there, even for just lunch and not guests of the hotel, we are treated like royalty. The food is really perfect. I had a citrus lobster salad that was REALLY good. My only comment about the service, that while it was extremely attentive and friendly the food took a long time to get to us, and it wasn't really that crowded. But it was not a problem enough that I wouldn't go back there. I really recommend it. It sits on the most beautiful part of the Santa Barbara coastline."

"We ate there because we were staying at the Four Seasons, and wanted to have a nice dinner with an ocean view. We had a reservation but were given a table with no view. When I asked to be moved, I was told that all the other tables were reserved. Interestingly, they were mostly still empty when we left. Food was good, not great, so unless you are staying at the hotel and could be guaranteed a table with a view I don't see any reason to go out of your way to go there."

"Upon arrival we asked to be seated on the patio because the indoor restaurant was very casual looking & we wanted something more intimate. The hostess wasn't sure if she could seat us outdoors. I told her we could wait and mentioned it was my wife's birthday. Our entrees were good, nicely prepared veal and black cod. The Caesar salad was a disappointment.
Evidently our waitress hadn't been informed of our special occasion, so we were presented with dessert menus. The table next to ours was also celebrating a birthday and were brought a dessert plate with " Happy Birthday " written out on the plate in chocolate.
Overall we had a nice evening. Next time I will inform my waitress privately."

"We heard good things about Bella Vista, and of course how could you go wrong with Four Seasons? Our expectations were exceeded and we had a fabulous Sunday Brunch, with a feast that was exquisite! Everything from caviar on belinni's to rack of lamb, prime rib and custom made omelettes. Everything was superbly prepared, presented with a flair and delicious! The service was exceptional and we will definitely come back again...highly recommend!"

"Of course the Biltmore was amazing, and the views on the patio were awesome. The brunch was superb, yet for the price tag of $75 a person I don't know that I will be doing that anytime again soon. Honestly, unless you are going to drink mimosas or bloody mary's all morning it's probably not worth $75, although the food was wonderful."

"What a spectacular setting! We had a TravelZoo coupon for a 4 course meal (valued at $189 for $99) We dined early enough to be there for sunset and had a very nice table on the patio. The food was very good but we wouldn't have paid the full price for it (price didn't include tax or tip) as it seemed pricey given it wasn't exceptional food. It was nice to have choices for the main courses though. Service was good but the beautiful grounds and perfect setting are what make it extra special. Highly recommend for a romantic meal or a place to dine with friends where you feel you are on vacation."

"Great Restaurant! Was a little apprehensive at first due to prior reviews stating the service was so so, but I found the service to be decent. The food is extremely tasty! I was really stuffed at the end of the night. The outdoor seating is a must because the view of the Pacific is to die for! Took my dad for his birthday and they really took care of us. "Very over-rated in the past. The whole place feels like its living on its reputation. Limited choices of seafood, only hot entree. Lobsters were not all cooked through, oysters good, crab legs watery. Sushi good but who wants to pay $59 each for uninventive sushi?

"Took my Mom to Sunday brunch for St. Patricks Day to celebrate her birthday. Got a nice table near the window overlooking the ocean. Brunch is high quality, excellent food with an eclectic selection and traditional items. Great seafood and omelet bar. Quite expensive, but you get what you pay for. Oprah and Stedman arrived about 10 minutes after we did, so I think that is a pretty good endorsement."

"We were offered a table outside, on the upper patio. No space heaters up there, though one from below gave us a little comfort -- until it ran out of gas and was not replaced. Our server was pleasant, but there was a hiccup or two getting here there, which led to a couple of uncomfortably long waits. Food was good, though my overall impression is that it was rather overpriced for what it was."

"I had the most wonderful experience at Bella Vista.
I notified Bella Vista that it was my mom's birthday before we arrived and they went above and beyond for us. The table was already set for 3 people when we arrived, with a perfect ocean view. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The manager came over several times to make sure we were enjoying the dining experience.
It was definitely an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Bella Vista."

"I went on a Thursday night, which is their seafood buffet night....the sushi and shellfish (shrimp, crab & oysters) were fantastiv! Some of the salads too- however it was early on in the evening and we were informed they ran out of lobster. When they were able to locate 3 1/2 tails for us, they came to us mealy, chewy and extremely fishy tasting. Not so great. That being said- the price ($59) for the meal was great, considering its the four seasons, the service was impeccable- the atmosphere was beautiful -it did smell a little fishy indoors but hey- it's a seafood buffet. Overall it was good."

"For $72/person, the selection is limited. However, what they lack in selection is made up for with quality. Their eggs benedict bar as well as their cold seafood bar are to die for. If you have a major sweet tooth, definitely check this place out. The staff is friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. On a clear, sunny Sunday morning, this is definitely the place to be."
