Estância Churrascaria is a Brazilian Steakhouse offering a dining experience rich in the culture and flavor of Southern Brazil. "Not only is the service top notch - they truly make you feel like you are the only customer in the restaurant - but the food is absolutely superb! We topped our dinner with a fun flaming after dinner drink that was better than dessert!!"

"Food was excellent. I would have given 5 stars for service, but we received the wrong dessert and wrong mixed drink, which were corrected. The service is like organized chaos and impressive to watch. Also, their Caipirinha’s were very good, go for the top shelf version."

"We enjoyed the salad bar and the meat was delicious. Only downside was the service was very frenetic, almost to the point of being uncomfortable, as though they(the restaurant) needed your table for the next guest. They didn't have the Port I wanted either even though they have a huge wine cellar on display. I would try it again to see if this experience was unusual."

"If you've been to a Brazilian steakhouse, then you have a good idea of what Estancia is like. Big salad bar, with lots of options to start your meal out with. Then a bunch of wait staff going around the restaurant with a nice variety of meat on skewers. They are all good, but the house steak and the lamb are excellent. They serve the meat with a variety of seasonings, so you are sure to find one you like.
We've been there a couple of times. If you are going there on a feasting holiday like Mother's Day: it will be crowded, and there will be a lot of noise due to the crowd as well as the large number of wait staff moving around the restaurant. If you have problems with constant movement and sound - avoid Estancia on those days."

"I took my 3 year old for our Mother's Day dinner, and we both loved it! The service was prompt - we had our drinks, including a glass of wine, before we got back from the salad bar! The servers we great - it didn't take long to get whatever you needed, whenever you got low on any of the sides or your plate looked over-used, they were there and ready to exchange them.
The food was phenomenal! I've been to similar restaurants before, they seem to be a part of the same chain because everything from the layout of the restaurants to the taste of the food was exactly the same.
It was a little pricey and crowded, but all in all, well worth it!"

"The food was excellent - everyone at our table tried every type of meat - even my son who doesn't like trying new foods was having them carve off meats he had never heard of before. It was fun we tried new foods without being afraid - if we liked it we asked for more. The concept is cool perfect if you have a large group of hungry people. The waiters seem to instinctively know when someone has turned over a card to green for more food, because your table suddenly has three or four waiters with different meats on skewers ready to carve you a piece of meat. Fun experience for our family."

"Three of us went for a "ladies' lunch" and had a very nice experience. The salad bar is beautiful - with enough options to make a meal of that, alone. The service was excellent but unobtrusive, so we always had food (all of which was excellent) but never felt rushed; we spent hours chatting and enjoying ourselves. Leave room for dessert - they have an excellent variety and all are delicious. Although it would be easy to get through the meal on a regular "lunch hour" the price, atmosphere, and experience warrant a longer meal. Definitely worthwhile for a special occasion."

"Although there's lots of meats coming and the thought is that you'll get the meat that you want, it really wasn't executed in that fashion. I wanted to start out with lamb or lamb chops first. I had to repeat myself to multiple guys until I finally got lamb maybe 10 minutes later, even though one meat server would promise that he'll go get it. This happened throughout the meal. I also felt that the main waiter was a tad unattentive to us and didn't come to our table that often. I still recommend it. It was mother's day. The meat servers are moving fast but maybe they'll need to focus on giving the customer the meat that they want faster."

"As some of you know the service at a Churrascuria can be quite confusing at times because all of the servers run to every table no matter if it is "theirs" or not. This is because they all share the tips.
Anyways the food great and everything is endless! There is also many "secret menu" items such as rice or even beans, at no extra charge. When I go the meats are always prepared just how I want them since the Gauchos cook the meat as well as serve it according to the temperature you request. All In going during lunch is the best because it is basically half off for the exact same dine-in experience."

"Great deal if you plan to eat a lot! We have been to other gaucho steak houses and this was similar with the red or green signal for 'feed me more' or 'please stop feeding me.' The meats were tasty but I probably didnt eat enough to make it worth the price. The salad bar is good but not spectacular. The garlic filet was very tasty, also good lamb chops. Great idea for guys who want to chow down and get their money's worth!"

"This was my first experience at a Brazilian steakhouse; my husband has dined at Fogo de Chao in several cities, and when we saw that Estancia was participating in Austin Restaurant Week, we decided to try it. I'm not a big meat eater but found the salad bar and side dishes delicious. Husband said he remembered Fogo having more choices but had plenty to try at Estancia. The service & presentation were outstanding. Excellent flan and molten chocolate cake for dessert. Ambience was relaxed fine dining. Will certainly return (probably for lunch, which is a better value)."

"We enjoyed our lunch at Estancia. The food was good, and the salad bar had a lot of variety. It was my son's birthday and they gave him an elaborate dessert that he loved. My only issue was with the salad bar. They were changing it out in the middle of our meal, and it was difficult to go back for seconds with no spoons. They were apologetic but it was disconcerting, and I decided not to go back to try the items I had left for later. The other thing I noted - the side dishes (garlic potatoes, bread, polenta and bananas) were brought to the table, but not replenished. We have been to Fogo De Chao in Austin, and these were constantly refilled. It was probably just not a good time of day."

"I must admit I was extremely disappointed in the food this time. I was there about 18 months ago and it was outstanding. Everything seemed so rushed, even when we had the cards turned to red. The waiters did not know if it was medium, rare or what. I kept getting well done when I asked for medium to medium rare. One piece of meat was so tough (this time it was cooked medium) I could not even cut it much less eat it. I am pretty sure the potatoes that were so great before or now made from powdered potato's and did not have a good texture or taste. Very disappointed."

"I was a little hesitant about this place. Being a fancy restaurant in the arboretum I figured we'd be in for another meal where the wait staff looks down on you for not ordering the $100 bottle of wine. We were completely wrong. My wife and I went for our anniversary and it was an amazing time. The staff was kind and courteous, they helped us with the menu, made us feel special, and when it came time for the good stuff, the chefs were all there within a minute of requesting more meat. The food was great, the ambiance was great, the staff was great. The only con was we were sitting by a table with a middle aged man and his mom/step-dad. He kept arguing about video games and such. His voice carried so much that it was tough to ignore."

"Excellent doesn't even begin to describe the dining experience provided to my friend and I at Estancia Churrascaria
The service we received here could not have been any better. The gauchos made it a point to be sure we had what we needed without making us feel crowded or rushed. As a matter of fact, most of them took into account what our favorite cuts were and always seemed to know exactly when to come back and deliver more
The meat itself was cooked and seasoned to perfection. If you didn't like the perparation of a particular cut, you could request it to be cooked to your liking
For all of you out there wondering, "How does it stack up next to fogo de chao" Please let me assure you, I'll now be frequenting Es"
