Morso is a culmination of a life in food and a passion for culinary excellence. Thirty years ago Pino Luongo, brought the then unfamiliar flavors and culture of authentic Tuscan cooking to New York City. With the essence of his homeland at heart and a truly original style of cooking, Luongo shaped the Italian menus and restaurants we consider as classics today. For Morso, his values and passion remain unchanged. Great, seasonal ingredients, skillfully prepared, shared with family and friends. Taking little bites of inspiration from all over Italy and the Mediterranean, combined with Pino's finest signature dishes; Morso represents a quintessential dining experience—authentic contemporary cooking in a vibrant and relaxed setting.
"We have been to Morso several times. The food and service seems to decrease in quality with each visit. Would like to see the restaurant get back to the level it was when it first opened."

"Great meal. Only down rated food slightly because my potatoes were overdone and my husband felt his shrimp in the mixed seafood We're a little dry. Otherwise, food was perfect. So, food is a 4 1/2 star for us."

"Service was attentive and not hurried. Crispy kale salad and crispy artichoke salad starters different and well made. Fresh cod over broccoli rabe cooked perfectly. Mixed seafood grilled of shrimp, calamari, and scallops good but scallops not there; some other fish. Would definitely go back."

"A comfortable and marvelous neighborhood spot, everything one could want in well conceived, constructed, and executed classic Italian food! The option of regular or smaller portions with the entrees (hence the restaurant's name) is an excellent conceit, coming from someone who often orders two appetizers instead of beginning and main courses... Terrific food, good staff, a hostess who went above and beyond to help resolve an Open Table issue...A solid experience all around - food, staff and service, wine selections, all thumbs up!"

"Service is good and very helpful. Menu is good and food prepared well. Prices still high after 2 drinks each and having price special of evening. The place needs some "buzz" from the media and an owner who makes the "rounds"."

"Morso is a real pleasure to have in the East 50s. Chef Pino Luongo presides with characteristic Italian charm and culinary finesse. The fare ranges from simple pasta entrees to more adventuresome entrees. The wine list is extensive and appropriately price. And the decor is reminiscent of an Italian movie from the "La Dolce Vita" era. Morso is so much better than the usual so-so midtown Italian ristorante. But don't take my word for it. Go there and enjoy!"
