"Tucked in the 19th Avenue corridor on Capital Hill, this is one of my favorites. Healthy and Mediterranean food-my idea combination. The food is excellent, service as well. Locally owned. Responsive to customer needs--special requests. Loved it."

"Discovered Vios via OpenTable when looking for a Greek restaurant. I was initially disappointed when I noticed there wasn't any calamari, which I was craving, but the lamb souvlaki that I ended up ordering was excellent! Tender, juicy, delicious! We also ordered the 3-dip pita platter with tzatziki, babaganoush and kopanisti, and all were excellent. A surprisingly great dinner overall!"

"Vios is a delightful cafe for genuine Greek cuisine if you are looking for a very family friendly, neighborhood experience, but stay away if you are seeking a quiet spot for extended conversation in the absence of screaming 2 yr olds jumping up and down on the next table. It's unfortunate, because the Greek dishes, and particularly the lamb, is sensational and there's always a few superb specials, almost always including a wine special."

"For some reason, our reservation through Open Table did not show the correct number of people (instead of 8, it showed 2). It was difficult for them to arrange a table, but they were very kind to accommodate us. Service was great. Will remember to tell the server about separate checks when ordering next time."

"Fantastic food, friendly service, and perfect for kids. They have a great playroom set up surrounded by booths so we actually managed to enjoy a leisurely brunch while our toddler stayed occupied! Great kids menu choices, interesting and tasty brunch options. We just love this place."

"We have always loved VIOS and had a great experience during our last visit. Great menu and excellent customer service! Hard to find local neighborhood restos like this. If you haven't tried VIOS yet, it is a must."

"Once again, wonderful food and friendly service. A definite must go to place in Capitol Hill. Great for families and small groups. Affordable as well. Try the roast chicken or the brisket. Nice ambiance too."

"It is rare to find a restaurant with an actual play area for kids that touts excellent food. This place rocks! I love food, and it is not easy to enjoy a meal with a 2 year old in your lap. I was able to let my little man down to play while I thoroughly enjoyed a spectacular meal! The menu options are all enticing and fresh. There is play area seating so you can watch the kiddos go at it while you dine. This is my new favorite place."

"Excellent affordable food in a quiet part of Capitol Hill. Service was spot on. I had the octopus salad which was fantastic! My sister had the roast chicken and my husband ordered the chicken souvlaki. Chicken in both dishes were juicy and tasty! Very family-oriented; there is a children's play area to be able to keep an eye out on your little one while dining."

"Delicious food, reasonable prices, and friendly service. The only drawback is that if you want a grown-up dining experience, you won't get it here. The place is totally swamped with families with younguns. They have a play area, but it's basically the entire restaurant, since people let their kids run amok. Anyway if you don't mind the noise, you'll love Vio's."

"Only ever been there with kids. Small, but adequate kids menu. New seating arrangements makes it easy to keep an ey on the playing little ones, allowing grown ups to have their own conversation.Food was very good, nice portion sizes without being too big.I think, if I were going to come here without kids, I would either go later in the evening or would try their other location."

"I always love dining at Vios. Only this time, it took us an hour to be served after being seated. It was a very busy Sunday morning. It wasn't our server's fault. We were given some free dessert for compensation. But we were there with our kids (4 adults, 5 kids), so an hour wait was tough. Otherwise, we had a great time and the food was great as always."

"The food was good and the neighborhood location was not too bad either. We were able to find parking within a block.
We came for a Saturday brunch. I had the lamb souvlaki with split pea soup. The sandwich was a little smaller than I expected but It was enough to fill me. The only complaint about the food was that the side salad on others' dishes was quite salty.
Our waitperson was friendly and patient. She was there when anything was needed.
Kudos to Vios for reserving a sizable corner of the restaurant to a kids play area. It looked well kept. My 7 year old daughter complained that it was for babies, so I guess it's more geared towards younger kids."
