"We recently had a "going away" event for a co worker at the fireside. This is a top notch place and although the prices are par for the neighborhood, the service is top notch. They had many options for our group and offered to have appetizers ready for us upon arrival. We had an area reserved just for us, and the staff was always there to make sure we had everything we needed. It was not noisy (actually we created the noise!)and we could actually have converstations. We will most definatley be returning for other events, and even for small things. Thank you to Justine, TJ and the staff for being so wonderful!"

"So glad I stumbled upon this place! The bartenders were friendly and attentive, the atmoshphere was the perfect escape from the loud and busy NY streets, and the food was amazing. I had the tuna tartare and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD! I will certainly be going back in the near future."

"We visited Fireside on a Sunday and was told that they had a limited menu since it was Sunday. I wouldn't have made a reservation if I had known that. The Sunday menu was more like bar food then a sit down meal menu. The restaurant was not busy and our server while pleasant disappeared for long periods of time and it took far to long for our drinks and food to come out. Overall I wasn't happy with the experience and would not return."

"Not the worst but not the best by a long shot but I must say that the service was impeccable. We ordered eggs Benedict and the server came back claiming that the chef didn't know how to poach eggs. Excuse me?! How does an "executive" chef not know how to poach eggs?! Besides that mishap the buffet was mediocre including the standards fruit, yogurt, eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Nothing outstanding and nothing horrible. But i must say it was definitely not worth the price!"

"It was Restarant Week in New York and I thought I'd try their Prix Fixe. Big mistake.
The beet salad was two iceberg lettuce cups with one beet chopped up between the two. The steak was supposed to be medium but was rarein the middle and tough. The lava cake was overlooked so was more like an undercooked brownie."

"The place was mediocre at best. It was restaurant week, but the waiter did not bring over the special menu. When I asked about it, he brought it over reluctantly. From beginning to end, the meal was amateur hour. We ordered a dessert with chocolate sauce, which the waiter delivered to the table 10 minutes after we were finished. Avoid this place..."
