"Decent offerings by a small local cafe/grille. The menu has undergone several changes over the last year or so and they provide some reliable staples. The notable surprise from this visit was the single member of waiting staff who not only managed to serve all of the tables efficiently but did so with charm, flair and professionalism! Impressive."

"I haven't been in quite awhile because I had a few not so great meals in the past and chose to try out some of the newer places opening in the area. We decided to give it a try last Saturday night and it was very disappointing. The signature chicken 43 dish was awful. The chicken was completely dry and tasteless. Having worked all day, I forced down two of the slices because I was hungry and left the rest not worth taking home. Probably won't be back. On a positive note, the waiter was very nice and attentive."

"This was our first visit to Grille 43. Good menu with something for everyone, and some interesting specials also. Food was very good, and service was excellent. Very noisy, making it a bit hard to carry on conversations, but we did anticipate that since it was Friday night. We will definitely be back for another visit soon."

"Absolutely loved the place. We split a couple of dishes so we were able to taste more than 1 main course. We started with the Calamari which I challenge anyone to find better some place else. We were told to try the drunken shrimp and they were absolutely right on target.
We then moved onto our main courses which were absolutely fantastic. Not only was the fish special tasty and moist but the presentation was perfect.
We also had the shrimp Caesar salad. I have never had grilled lettuce before and was a bit skeptical. I don't think I can go back without getting it again. It was that good.

"Grille 43 was a great in-between spot to meet our friends coming down from Milwaukee. It was easy to find off the expressway and the food was very tasty. The sea bass was exceptional as was the steak salad and rib eyes (per our guests). There is a wide range of menu items to satisfy most people. Its not a very big place but was able to accommodate our group of 8 and serve us attentively. It was our first visit but another friend recommended it who lives in the area."

"I took my family here for Easter Brunch, and we were very unwhelmed by the selection on the buffet. Champagne was NOT included in the expensive price and the food was marginal. Every food item was presented altogether: Incomplete breakfast selections right along with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. Appropriate food for children was non-existent. The $25 I paid for my 4 year old was a total waste. They should list their buffet items on their menu online. Changing my mind once I got there and saw what they had to offer was not an option."

"I met a friend for lunch on a Saturday around 12:30. I did make a reservation, but on this day it wouldn't have been necessary. We boothhad the French Onion soup and split a Mushroom & Goatcheese Flatbread. Both were very tasty and I would have again! The Bloody Mary's and Bloody Maria's were very good! "Returned for lunch! This time, we ordered Drunken Shrimp, Margherita Flatbread, and Grille 43 Salad. All were VERY tasty. Drunken Shrimp was a bit heavy, but very well made. Just wished if the chef absorbed the oil come out from bacon. (I know some people love that part though.) Flatbread was excellent. Will go back there again!"

"It was a pleasant surprise to find this place at a location where you would never expect such great ambiance and/or food. We went there for a quick lunch on our way home. We picked the place, to be honest, only because it was exactly on our way home..... Well, the restaurant had more patrons than we thought. Food was good! We will have two more occasions that we need to take that route back home, so we have already decided to go visit there again. I had fish taco; my boyfriend had Grille's Salad. He said he would order the same salad again. Next time, I will try out something else. Egg Benedict could be the one."
