Triniti
With a nod to the culinary triad of sweet, savory and spirits, Executive Chef Ryan Hildebrand and a stellar lineup of culinary talent have banded together to create Triniti, a progressive American restaurant featuring "California French" cuisine. French techniques, light-handed, focusing on the highest quality ingredients available. Joining Hildebrand in the kitchen are Sous Chefs Greg Lowry and Matt Lovelace and, at the front of the house, General Manager Brett Story and Director of Operation/Sommelier Fred Zennati.
The restaurant, unlike any other in Houston in both cuisine and design, represents an artistic outlet for all involved. Much attention has been paid to the details – inside and out – from the food, cocktails, open kitchen, commissioned artwork and custom chandeliers, to the tree-lined patio and chef's garden.

"My family and I went for brunch on Father's Day and we were all delighted with the menu and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our waiter, however tended to disappear to other tables and it took a bit longer than expected to get our food (we had been waiting about an hour after we ordered and it wasnt busy yet) . I think somehow they had forgotten about our table and my husband went to remind them. After that, we had our food in a few minutes and the rest of the morning went great."

"The server was not at all attentive. We were seated and had to wait quite a while before he even took our drink orders and quite a bit longer to order entrees. It was Father's day and pretty busy, but the table seated after us already had their entrees while we were still waiting for our drink order to be filled. If we return it will only be because everything we ordered was excellent."

"I went with friends to celebrate a 40th birthday on Friday night. Our service nearly ruined the evening! The service was dreadfully slow and when one of our friends needed to send her steak back to have it cooked futher, it was a slow process and returned over done! We asked to speak to the manager who was reluctant to come to the table and was rude. The waiter said he would take off a desert on the bill and then didn't. While the food was good... I will most likely not return or encourage my other foodie friends to try it until there is a HUGE improvement to the service."

"the food was extraordinary - the plating was exceptional - I thought the chicken was a bit salty ( they may brine it ) - the asparagus starter was the best. They have different foams that really make the meal interesting - so you can wander from one to the next and really enjoy tasting."

"Triniti was definitely NOT noisy and the service was incredible! As my date and I walked in the Executive Chef Jeff was dutifully at the front of the restaurant and greeted us with charm and a sincere welcoming attitude. He set the tone from the minute we walked in and we left the restaurants pleasantly full, thoroughly happy and talking about coming back. I will be sure to let my friends know who had given mixed reviews that this is now one of my top eateries in Montrose and will refer our clients who come to Montrose Realty (our Brokerage) to definitely be sure to go to Triniti.

"The vegetables are phenomenal and that's not a word I typically use in my culinary vernacular. Every dish was superbly prepared with some very appealing plating. Very good wine list and more importantly items are priced competitively. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I may have found a new regular spot."

"We were seated right away although restaurant was very full. Staff very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Atmosphere very pleasant. It was very loud but thankfully no music to compete with. "Amuse bouche" was a nice surprise. Presentation very attractive and food excellent and well prepared. Valet parking is free. A nice touch were chocolate truffles and the beautifully wrapped muffins which we were given as gift when we left. Would recommend and would definitely return."

"dining at Triniti was a wonderful experience. The food was expensive but it was worth it because of the quality. The cocktails are delicious. The staff would check on us often and bring us bites of other foods to try. At the end of the evening we were too full for dessert so we received free pastries to take home. The valets were also very friendly."

"I've heard so many great things about Triniti so maybe we hit an off night. They presented their "spring" menu and my daughter and I could not decide on anything that sounded good. The service was awesome though - very nice server. We both had the Escovar - it was served with a small blanched tomato & about 6 green beans. There was what the waiter called a "green bean crepe" -a small tasteless item on the plate too. We spent $140 on a bottle of wine & 2 entres and left hungry."

"the rumors are true, the kitchen has gotten its act together. My first meals there were poor when they first opened, bad timing, fussy and tiny meals that looked great but were nothing special to the tongue. Happy to report while keeping its basic sensibility intact, there are now memorable tastes on the plate. and the staff that once seemed overwhelmed and unprepared now usher the public through the evening with a sense of joy. There was an overly long gap between starters and main courses but the staff was aware and made sure we were taken care of during the slow period."

"Dined for lunch. Went to catch up with a friend, and ate and gabbed for 2 1/2 hrs. We were never rushed. The server was attentive, but not overly so. I ordered the tomato soup that was very good. It had a grilled cheddar slider on the side. I also had the composed beet, roasted cauliflower and strawberry "salad"/starter. It was also very nice. My friend had the flank steak salad, which she enjoyed. Would like to go back for dinner and cocktails."

"My husband and I had reservations here for dinner. The GM called earlier in the week to see if we wanted to participate in a wine tasting/pairing that was going on in the restaurant that same evening. We decided to do the wine tasting/pairing and it was an excellent choice. The wine was wonderful (Frank Family Vineyard) and the food was delicious. The service was excellent. The tables were set up "family style" and at first I wasn't so sure about sitting next to strangers but it was a lot of fun and we met and socialized with some very nice people. We will be back for dinner or another wine tasting."

"Trendy cool decor. Nice bar area. Celebrated a friend birthday here on a Monday and place was nicely busy but not crazy. We had the five course and five course chef tasting menu . It was great that we could sub in a beet salad from the menu.....and it was good. Presentation was beautiful and good was fresh, tasty, and unique . Filet mignon n halibut was fantastic. Dessert was exceptional. Overall highly recommend this restaurant ."

"The minute we walked in we were greeted warmly by the hostess, and then our server for the evening. He was great throughout the dinner too, as he gave us prompt service but without being too pushy. I think it was an older gentleman with glasses named Mike.
The food here was awesome! We ordered the Lobster and Fois Gras appetizers. And for entrees, we had the Escolar Almondine (which tasted delicious and felt like velvet and butter on the tongue!) and the Chicken. I was impressed by the chicken that we even took it home...But it wasn't until the next morning that I realized that the uneaten part (there were 2 parts) wasn't cooked all the way! I was a bit disappointed by that. Desserts were both very delicious.

"The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. The menu offered a wide variety of items that left me having a difficult time deciding what to choose. Price points are a bit high for the starters which are intended for one person rather than for the table to share. I had the five course chef's menu ($65). I was impressed when they let me substitute an item from the tasting menu ($95). I thought the food was interesting but for some reason it seemed like it was missing something. The service was just okay. Seemed the servers were still figuring out what they were selling. Our waiter didn't seem to know how to describe anything on the menu. Wine list was impressive. Try the "If you See Kay" for a big red. Bar looked good for a HH."

"There was an event going on when we were there, but they set aside a room for guests to still come. The starters asparagus and beets were wonderful. The waiter told us the chicken is surprisingly good, which was true. He also suggested the tuna, but it was okay. We got the salmon and it was excellent! Overall, the review as wonderful and the food was good. I went Triniti in the evening on my first visit and the ambiance was beautiful."

"My wife and I took guests for dinner Sat. May3. We have eaten at Triniti several times in the past and were favorably impressed with the food and service. Less so this time, especially the wine service, which is essential for me and my party to have an excellent experience. Neither of the wines I first ordered--white or red--was available. Instead of returning the list for me to choose another, the server brought out a bottle of each to recommend. We did get the list back upon request and chose alternatives. I consider this shabby and careless for the restaurant management to fail to keep an up to date wine list, especially at a restaurant like Triniti, which passes itself off as a top-notch dining experience. We may not return."

"Another couple plus ourselves tried Triniti for dinner Friday night. The food was out of this world. We had great service and the manager stopped by a couple of times to make sure we were enjoying our meal and experience. We had such a great time, we didn't realize that we were there over 3 hours. We never were rushed. Everything was superb; the food, service and ambiance. We'll definitely be back."

"We wanted a sauvignon blanc to pair with our seafood, but are not experts in wine by any means. Our waitress brought over the bartender, J.C., to help us with our selection and we ended up with a fantastic bottle (Merry Edwards). The wine really made the meal at this place, though the food was delicious and innovative as well. An overall very good experience."

"Triniti was our choice for a special celebration dinner and it did not disappoint. The five course tasting menu was wonderful. Portions are small, but it is a tasting menu. The wine list was great and when our first choice of bottle was not available the waiter did an excellent job of finding a good replacement at the same price. Triniti was an overall great experience."
