Thank You for choosing Shiso sushi and grill, as we know you have many options. Our goal is to provide a great dining experience through our unique cuisine and great friendly service. We at Shiso are passionate about our space, food, and general daily opportunity to serve the public.
Our menu focuses on seasonal ingredients including sourcing from our own chef’s garden. Sonoma is well known for its long growing season and amazing local fish, produce and dairy making it the perfect backdrop for our creative chefs. Our menu is primarily focused on Japanese traditional fare with some influences on other parts of Asian. We were voted best new restaurant is Sonoma in 2006 and received two years in a row nod from the Michelin guide as well as several accolades such as in Sonoma Magazine, Sunset magazine and Napa/Sonoma magazine. We vacated our original location at 522 Broadway in 2009 to focus on a smaller location.

"After we ordered three appetizers which were really good, we left it to the chef to fill in the rest of our dinner and he didn't disappoint. Creatuve and delicious as how i I would described it. Desserts were really good and we splurged on them. Oh, and corkage fee was $10 per bottle. Highky recommended."

"We came here to try out sushi in Sonoma. Normally I would stay in the city. The chef was Japanese, which tells me the food is going to be good, and I was right. We ordered the 19-piece sashimi, salad, a spider roll, and an eel hand roll. All of them were fantastic. The 19-piece came with some exotic fish, like the halibut. Seafood was fresh. I would recommend coming back whenever I'm in the area."
