"Took Mom and the family and she loved it. Pork Chop was good but deep fried, so couldnt eat that too often. I had the rigatoni bolognese which was quite yummy."

"This was our first visit and it was amazing. Our waiter was phenomenal. He put us at ease and made sure we were well attended to the entire evening. Definitely going back again. Our meals were perfect and the deserts were divine!! The waiter made sure I got a scoop of pistachio gelato with my cannoli when I couldn't decide!! Yum!!"

"We were a bit disappointed with this restaurante since it has been in business for so long we thought that the food would be amazing. We found it to be just ok, and it seemed as if we were forgotten since they put us in a corner and it no one was sure who was our waiter. When we are in the area again, we won't return here for dinner."

"A special neighborhood restaurant with a special feel to it - a bit of "old world" yet not too flashy - "subdued" might be the word . Food is above average for sure - never a disapointment.Parking is a bit tough during busy times - come prepared to valet park (easily done )This restaurant is something special ."

"We were visiting Phoenix and in the mood for Italian. Tomaso's had good reviews on Trip Advisor so we gave it a try. The food was great. The portions were large so none of us finished a plate. The owner came by to greet us and our server (Geraldo) was awesome. We walked away with satisfied appetites and a pleasant dining experience."

"Traveled to Phoenix for Spring Training and found this wonderful place on Open Table. Just could not believe how great it was. The menu was outstanding and the flavors of all six of our meals could not have been better. Saw three sport icons that were there dining and none of them were together. Must say something special about this gem. Make sure to add it to your list!!!! You will have a tough time trying to top the food."

"Tomaso's food was excellent, the wine list expansive and the service attentive. Special attention was given to a member of the party who required a gluten-free dining experience. The only issue I would be comment on was tat oone membner of our party did noty receive his entree with the rest of us and had to wait almost ten minutes for his didh to arrive. However, the host did make up for that by buying the table a round of after-dinner drinks."

"Our dinner was fabulous at Tomaso's. Our waiter was excellent and offered great dining suggestions. The dish I enjoyed was not on the menu but created by the chef - absolutely delicious!"

"I thought the food was very good particularly the red sauce on my wife's lasagna which tasted more true Italian than the very heavy Americanized red sauce you usually find. So that's definitely a plus, but I thought my veal was a bit heavily breaded. Overall a good choice with reasonable prices. I would eat there again."

"Still good after several visits though some of the dishes have changed over time. Meatballs used to be the best ever but are now just good. Service was excellent!! The veal ragu ravioli were to die for! Highly recommend giving it a try."

"I'm not sure why people rate this place as favorably as they do-- maybe it is nostalgia? Our meal was quite tasteless and our server Vito (?) acted as if he was doing us a favor. We did not enjoy our experience, we would not go back again, and we would not recommend it to anyone we know. We were disappointed as we really wanted to like this restaurant."

"My boyfriend surprised me with a belated Valentines dinner here last Friday. We arrived to very quick and easy valet .This is a very intimate, quaint place. It felt very warm and inviting and the service was excellent. The server was very knowledgable on the food and wine. We had a great bottle of wine. Started with the caprese salad which the server was kind to tell was plenty to share. I had the pasta combination and the favors were amazing, what a great way to try several sauces. My boyfriend knew what he wanted but did not see it on the menu- the server said no problem you tell me what you want and we will make it- penne with bolognese and meatballs, it was perfect. Finished with tiramisu and Tomaso's cappuccino, must try."

"Very good food. Nice wine recommendation. Service kind of average--waiters seemed overwhelmed with number of customers. Took too long to get our order, too long to get check. But will go again because of food quality"

"It was our last night in Phoenix, and we wanted something special. Tomaso's did not disappoint. We were greeted warmly by the owner, got great service, and the food was excellent. The lasagna was the best we have ever had, and we've been to many Italian restaurants all over the country. The veal chop was done exactly as I requested, and was delicious. Just as important, the dining experience was exceptional, in that the service was excellent, and everyone in the restaurant appeared to be enjoying their evening. Would definitely return to this restaurant."

"I started with a delicious chopped salad. Unfortunately, I ordered the sea bass. What came was fish which I doubt was sea bass and was terrible. I sent it back and ordered an appetizer to replace it. They apologized but offered nothing - dessert, a drink or anything. The others in our party enjoyed their meals. I have eaten there in the past, but now I would not return."

"A Phoenix classic. White table clothed, tuxedo waitered, classiness. Well executed Italian classics in a comfortable and upscale but not stuffy restaurant that is obviously focused on making its customers happy."

"Antipasta was great. Fish in cioppino didnt seem fresh Too much breading on shrimp Service was slow and mediocre at best- nevr received a soft drink I ordered. Took forever to get water brought to table. Water was spacey-- didnt seem to know the menu Atmosphere old school bordering on dated."
