"Gosh, I almost hate making this one more popular. The Dock knocked our socks off!!! Great setting, small and quant, yet large enought to accomodade parties of 8 easily. The menu is somewhat limited, but each and every item is a winner. Their wine list is very good and extremely reasonably priced considering the zip code. The Berkshire Pork Belly was outstanding. Wife had the spicy rack of lamb and asked for risotto, which they were extremely accomodating to change the carb. And the dessert ranked in our top 3 of all time!!
Went somewhat early; 6pm and at first very quiet and only about 3 other tables seated. But by 7 the place was almost full with half the crowd coming in off the dock, so the locals are very aware of this gem."

"Found the Dock strictly through OpenTable. The dining room, is open to the water, and the dinner was truly memorable. My wife had a basic chicken dish that was way more than basic - it was perfectly prepared, tasty, and beautifully presented. I ordered New York steak and was told "we only prepare it medium rare, but don't worry..." It was incredible - tender, juicy, and extremely flavorful, served on delicious mashed potatoes and veggies. One of the best steaks I have had. My wife is a pastry chef, so we seldom order dessert. But the chocolate dessert with pistachio ice cream substituted for vanilla, was spectacular. What a wonderful relaxed evening - service was attentive without being intrusive. Great pick - thank you OpenTable."

"Lovely experience, table settings were exquisite with outstanding floral arrangements on each table. The waiters were confident, knowledgable and so personable with a special added, sense of humor. The food, well it was glorious - presentation was picture perfect and the taste was ultimate perfection. This was our second visit to The Dock, taking another set of friends and will certainly be a new favorite spot."

"This restaurant was great! It is a small open restaurant that sits along the water adjacent to the boat docks. It is a lovely setting, quiet and romantic. Our waiter was attentive and he had wonderful food choice suggestions. I had the chicken with polenta and broccolini. (I don't eat red meat nor sea food.) My chicken was cooked to perfection. It was moist and flavorful. My husband had the rack of lamb. He loved his dish as well."

"We have been a frequent visitor to The Dock and have been impressed with the quality of foof and the service. This paast Sunday, however, was a large disappointment. fixed price menu looked good on psper, but largely did not deliver in terms of food quality. A small but important indicator was the coffee -- in the past we have enjoyed the one cup off french press coffee, this time is was a non descript(drip?) coffee. I doubt we will try a Sunday Bruch again, will try one more time and then look for another close by new favorite (we live in the 601 Condo building)."

"I hadn't been to The Dock in a few years, so we decided to go there as we remembered how good the short ribs were there. The restaurant is still as gorgeous as ever, but I was disappointed that they had raised the prices significantly since the last time we were there. I loved the fact that they had a few great options of wine by the glass and the service and ambiance were still very good. We did have to send back to my dish to be re-made as it had onions in it and I had specified no onions or peppers, but when it came back, it was very flavorful. The short ribs were as good as ever. I still love this restaurant but, due to price, it will now be more of a "special occasion" restaurant vs a restaurant I visit more regularly."

"Terrific view - you can squint and imagine Venice. Good food ideas too, and the ingredients in our meals were fresh and tasty. Mostly well cooked as well - alas, though over-salted. The fine fish, risotto and vegetables we had would not just work well enough with less sodium; they'd be much improved, allowing you to appreciate the inherently good flavors.
The wine list is excellent too, but expensive (you won't find a $30 or $40 bottle, and the choices under $75 are extremely limited). Food items, meanwhile, are reasonably priced.
We had a great time watching the early evening sun play off the bay. The service was attentive and discreet. If you go, prepare to open your wallet for the wine, ignore the salt, and enjoy yourself."

"Amazing food and a great little spot. This was my third time there and have had the same waiter two of those times. The first time I was there he wasn't very attentive and forgot my salad. I had to track him down after everyone else's salads had come to the table. This last time he forgot to put in the order for our appetizer, an we ended up canceling it because our food was coming out. Great place and great food, but the service does lack a little bit."

"After making brunch reservations for next week, we thought it best to go for dinner to check out before taking our friends.
The minute we walked in, we knew we found a gem. The atmosphere is wonderful with the combination of open air and superb interior design and lighting.
From start to finish, everything we ate was delicious and of high quality. Although we found good wines by the glass, we felt the wine list and by the glass selection was very limited for a restaurant that does not serve liquor.
Our only issue was with our waiter. No personality, and from the onset his only interest seemed to be how fast he could get us out to turn the table. Other waitstaff observed were just the opposite, friendly, personable, and efficient"

"When the 6 of us arrived, I thought we'd have a nicer view based on the pictures of the website. I guess the lighting and needs to be timed just perfectly. This is located in an industrial harbor neighborhood with areas that have new loft/business/residence construction. This made parking difficult to find. The menu descriptions sounded appetizing and based on the pricing we all were expecting more of a foodie or gourmet experience. The pear salad had delicious pears, but with 6 baby green leaves? Not a salad. The roasted hearts of romain salad with tomato tartar and maytag blue cheese dressing was actually one half of a baby romain heart with a tsp of diced tomatos, pinch of blue cheese and ranch dressing.

"Three of us came to celebrate my sister's birthday, my sister, our 85 year old mother, and me, the older sister. We came for lunch on a beautiful, sunny Newport day. Our server was very attentive. The food was not only beautifully presented but very tasty. We are all three world travelers and definitely foodies. Everything was lovely."
