Nora's Table is a chef-driven restaurant in Hood River, Oregon, known for its farm-to-table ethic, a menu that changes daily, and award-winning Gorge wine list.
The Oregonian newspaper gave the restaurant a rare A- and said "Nora's has turned the gorge from a geological statement into a cuisine." TripAdvisor rates it the Number One Hood River restaurant.
Hood River is the center of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic area, and Oregon's second best-known wine scene, after the Willamette Valley.
"Our menu is created almost entirely from the food shed around our iconic Mt. Hood. All our beef, lamb and pork come from our local ranches, and what our farmers bring us each day drives what goes on our menu," says chef and owner Kathy Watson. "Right down to our ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise, bread, pasta, crackers and pickles, it's all hand-made by our great crew. We love bringing the best of the Gorge to our plates."

"Menu changes to incorporate fresh, local ingredients. Our favorite restaurant in Hood River, and yet we can still be blown away by an outstanding dinner, such as recent Halibut cheeks with asparagus gratin and arugula, coffee caramel flan with beignets for dessert. Wowsers."

"We had another wonderful dinner at Nora's. We love the creative, artful dishes that are done so well there. Don't forget the burger! A couple of us treated ourselves to them this visit. As good as they get anywhere!"

"We love Nora's Table. We introduced our friends from Salem and Portland, and they thoroughly enjoyed the Goan Curry, the Halibut cheeks, and my usual scallops, plus we all enjoyed the special roasted Asparagus salad with prosciutto and lemon vinaigrette dressing. Desserts we had were very satisfying also....coffee caramel crème brulee, vanilla pudding cake with strawberries, and lemon cake. Always worth the drive from Portland. We have yet to be disappointed."

"We visit Hood River every few months and routinely arrange to have dinner at Nora's Table before heading back to Portland. We are never disappointed. This weekend's visit included a trio of scallops cooked to perfection, and fish tostadas featuring trout and a fresh salsa--creamy and delicious. We would dine there monthly, if we lived closer."

"Excellent food, good presentation, smiling and capable service. Only small complaint was the stiff paper table cover overlapped the table edge so my jacket sleeve would often snag it and lift it 4" off the table when I brought my fork to my mouth. Small annoyance but results in 3 star Ambiance. I am a retired CFSP (Certified Food Service Professional)."

"We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our meal to come. Waitress was ok, but apparently the kitchen does not have enough help for this restaurant! It is a small restaurant ...maybe 15 tables, but only about 10 were full and all of the food was slow beyond belief! We have eaten here 3 other times and great service is never high on the list...we have been ignored or waited a good deal of time for food in the past, but never this long!"

"It was our 1st visit here.. and we were VERY impressed!! The food was awesome .. and our server was the owner which was very cool.. all the ingredients were local and very fresh!! Looking forward to trying brunch and lunch too!!

"The food was good, but the service was terrible. We waited a long time to order, a long time for our food, a long time for our check after our food, and a long time for our server to come back and pick up our check. I've worked in restaurants so I know how it can get crazy when it's busy but this was bad. It was also frustrating to see the people sitting next to us get better service because they seemed to be friends with the waiter. When he finally brought us our check, we had our card out ready to pay, and he said, let me take care of one other table and I'll be right back, which he never did, we waited for at least 10 minutes for him to come back while he helped other tables."
