"Our burgers were delicious, the avocado was superb, and the dessert -- ice cream in a piece of chocolate cake -- was to die for, as they say. We are looking forward to returning to sample other fare."

Review 3 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"Perfect for dinner before the performance. Having driven an hour to get to Malvern for the play, it was convenient to walk a few feet away to the theater. Food, service and atmosphere were wonderful."

Review 4 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"The waitress was trying to do too much at once. She rather mislead us on the special which we all ordered thinking it was red snapper and it turned out to be tuna. However, it was good, but we wouldn't have ordered it if we had known it was tuna.
Service was a bit slow, but it's a charming place and we fell in love with the glassware!"

Review 6 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"While I loved the atmosphere it was very cold (the air conditioners were on high) in the restaurant. My dinner was good (filet, mashed potates and steamed veggie of the day), my dining partner's meal was average (shrimp scampi). The service was a little slow though the server was polite and nice. We had to look for him to get the check even after we told him at the start of the meal (and reminded him throughout) that we were going to the show at People's Light. If you have a special occassion and would like to be alone, with plenty of time, this is the place for you."

"This was our second time eating at the Farmhouse, the last being 3 yrs ago. We came to celebrate our anniversary, and this is also where we got married. The food was excellent as we remembered and the service was outstanding. Our server was especially great. Definitely would recommend this little hidden gem off of rt 30."

Review 9 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"Our reservations were at 7:15 which was just after the show at the People's Light Theatre started. We were there for about 2 hours or so and were the only guests. It was a little odd being the only diners in the place, but it was also a nice change as my husband and I rarely get out alone anyomore.
The food was very good and the menu offered a wide variety. The prices were comparable for the area. The wine list was not extensive, but sufficient for us."

Review 10 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"Way started out so great, turned out so bad. Beautiful country farm house setting, great waiter. Frank was the best. Salads and bread were great. Here comes the problem...three of the 4 entrees were not edible. 2 chicken dishes and pâté were awful. Lamb was undercooked and them over cooked and tasteless. Asparagus that came with the lamb was great. Again, the waiter was great, took the food off the bill and we quickly left.
Very disappoint night and we will obviously not return."

Review 11 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"What a nice surprise. Thought it was just a Pre show venue. Food and service were excellent. Wait staff assured a quiet spot for our dinner conversation, even though there were a lot of theatre attendees being served."

Review 12 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"Restaurant was understaffed, which led to much frustration on the part of all of the customer trying to enjoy a meal before a performance. Staff tried their best, but mistakes and delays in serving occurred.
My order was fundamentally salad, although I was shocked to be charged $8 for ONLY three medium shrimp added to my salad."

Review 13 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"We arrived expecting a buffet brunch comparable to last year. This was not available and we ordered off of the price-fix menu. At $35 a person which did not include beverages (other than water and coffee), the food was over-priced (salad or soup, eggs benedict and the like, desert). Additionally the menu stated sliced Virginia Ham. What was provided was pork and not ham. My daughter could not eat this and had to return the dish. The waiter indicated that others had had the same complaint. My advise would be for the restaurant to return to the buffet format."

Review 17 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"My friend and I shared a burger and salad. Salad did not have enough dressing and the burger, though we asked for medium, was very well done and almost burnt. I will try again. So convenient when seeing a show at People's Light"

Review 19 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"There is a very limited menu, with minimal specials. There is an adequate bar and wine selection. Its greatest asset is that it is connected to People's Light and Theater Co., so it makes going to their productions very convenient. This bistro is pleasant, enough, but not in itself a destination."

Review 24 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"I absolutely loved our dinner at The Farmhouse Bistro at The People's Light. The atmoshphere was beautiful and the servers were just so friendly. The farmhouse is truely authentic and rustic. The food was absolutely wonderful, most definitly worth the price. This is a perfect place to celebrate an anniversary or birthday with the one you love. Not very kid friendly in my opinion, but that makes it even more special as romantic escape with your loved one. I think they even had a larger room in the back for a larger party of people, which would be perfect for a quiet evening with friends."

Review 25 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"Food was pretty good, however service needs a little work. Frittata that was ordered came out cold (with the potatoes). Appetizer ordered came out with the entree. My wife's cappuccino was more like coffee with milk stirred in. The food itself was pretty good, they just need to train their staff a bit."

Review 26 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"What a delightful Valentine's Day dinner! The choices offered were outstanding and it was difficult to make a decision; however, our final choices pleased us very much. A suggested list of wines to go with the dinners was a nice touch. Service was very good but not as outstanding as in our previous visits. There were more guests than we usually encounter which may help to explain the service."

Review 27 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"My husband and I went to the Farmhouse for Valentine's Day and found a great little romantic restaurant! The food was delicious and the room quiet, despite the closeness of the tables. There are only a handful of tables in each room so you don't have to fight to hear each other. It was also very cool to have our wine in goblets! We're definitely going back!"

Review 29 for The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light
"For Christmas, we were given tickets for The Winter's Tale and decided it would be fun to try dinner at the Farmhouse Bistro as part of the night out. Are we glad we did; the building is very colonial, cozy, and comfortable, and the food and wine selections were outstanding. Our waiter was attentive without being too much so, and even brought us our will-call tickets at the end of the meal. This experience, along with the delightful play, are causing us to seriously consider an annual subscription. A magical night all around!"
