Kale'a, meaning "joy or bliss" in Hawaiian Pidgin, pairs traditions of the Pacific Rim in a celebration of beach foods from many tropical cultures. Our food, reflective of the different influences of Asian cultures upon Hawaii itself brings Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, French, Indonesian and American cuisines to name a few. We have designed our family style menu with emphasis on the freshest locally sourced ingredients, quality meats, and a contemporary spin on traditional dishes. Our crafted cocktail list is a reinvented homage to traditional beach libations. It has been artfully created with house-made cordials, syrups and organic fruit juices. Think of our menu as a Hawaiian tapas brasserie – quality, local and organic ingredients whenever possible, prepared simply either and served family style.
