"We literally stumbled into this great restaurant. We were new visitors to Baltimore on a cold Monday when we found this spot and were we ever so happy to find it. Ten Ten is a beautiful, trendy relaxing spot with a deep menu full of wonderful tastes and broad selections. It took us awhile to make our selections and we were happy to have our waiter help us. The braised short ribs over grits is amazing and the quiches is light and great. The gnocchi entree was layered with flavor and the steak was perfectly done. However, the best part of our meal was desert. The citron tart is so very good we all fought to eat it while the chocolate chase with dehydrated chocolate was outrageous.

"This was my first visit to Ten Ten and I highly recommend it. My husband and I enjoyed their Sunday Brunch. The coffee and bottomless mimosas were fantastic. I ordered the Lobster Benedict which was served over focaccia bread rather than traditional english muffins and the dish was utterly fantastic. My husband ordered the Ten Ten breakfast which includes eggs, homemade bacon to die for, a homemade biscuit and potatoes. We added the homemade sage sausage which was also wonderly seasoned and delightful."

"We arrived 45 minutes early with an out of town guest. We asked if it were possible to seat us early and were told no, but we could sit at the bar. All around us were the tall tables and chairs of the bar variety. Most were empty. We sat and waited. No attempt was made to seat us for dining. At our reservation time, the hostess came and said she could now seat us. We thought we were going to the dining room. But no! We took us to another of the tall bar tables to be seated for our lunch. I have arthritic feet which are deformed and must sit flat on the floor. I asked the hostess to move us to a regular dining table. She said there were none available; but a few minutes later, a couple walked in and the hostess took them to the dining room."

"We were visiting Baltimore and restaurant was recommended by family and friends. Entrance is in an alley behind pizza joint and it is easy to miss. Great food - everything was obviously fresh and perfectly prepared. Excellent service but not smothering. Acoustics are bad but we dined on a Friday night at 8:00 and noise would have been quiet if not for effect of high tin ceiling. Place was about half full so if it was crowded, I can see noise level rising to "energetic"."

"Our dinner was a story of extremes: We had an olive sampler that varied and tasty, raising our expecctations for the main course -- which took about 45minutes to appear. We then had delicious scallops, very well prepared -- but entree-priced for an appetizer size of 3 scallops -- and a whole bass with everything on (which I can handle, but it was a big job and enough fish for 3) that came with nothing on the side except the herbs and lemon used for cooking. The price for both dishes was the same -- it would have made a lot more sense to schedule the scallops as an appetizer at 50% less, and the bass as a dinner for 2, with several sides added, at 50% or even 75% more. We would have paid the same, but been much happier.."

"I had reserved a table for ten and forgot to add myself and my husband to the number. When I called two hours before our reservation, the hostess was so kind and assured me she would make it work and we would have plenty of room. She could not have been kinder. As I mentioned we were a big group, but the service was perfect. The food delicious. My husband is a vegetable grower and the seasonal menu is to be celebrated. All of us live in Baltimore and definitely said this a place to come back for! Thank you."

"We went for my girlfriend's birthday on a Monday and couldn't have been happier. Two apps/1 entree/2 sides/1 dessert and a bottle of wine (half price on monday) our bill was still under 100. The place was quiet, but I'm assuming it was because it was monday. Will definitely go back. Server (forget her name) was great and personable!"

"Another great meal at TenTen featuring a memorable earthy and fresh salad with beets, horseradish and pea shoots drizzled with a carrot puree and punctuated by a decadently re-imagined Reese's peanut butter cup for dessert. Sadly the halibut was sold out, but the steak frites with duck fat compensated nicely. Perfect atmosphere for a girls gathering over many glasses of well-recommended wine and a noise level that didn't make us (or our neighbors) uncomfortable when our laughter got a little louder as the evening progressed."

"Ten Ten is a nice restaurant. And definitely one to visit. It's tough in the summer months to justify sitting in a dark interior, though - more of a fall/winter place.....the hostess and staff were all very friendly on our most recent visit. Our food was good and brought out in a timely manner. The server asked if we wanted bread or if we "were on a low-carb diet," which I found sort of bizarre - next time just bring the bread and we can figure it out for ourselves! (-; Other than that, all good."

"Restuarant had a nice atmostphere,but the food didn't have a lot of flavor (except for the fried brussell sprouts) and the service staff looked overwhelmed to a moderately-full dining room. "Very nice restaurant. We thought the wine list was especially well thought out, with many selections by the glass. The shrimp and grits was a very tasty dish. We also liked the calamari with 3 dipping sauces. However, we did experience two problems: first, my glass of cava was flat; second, my husband's steak frites was already cold when served. The wiatress and management were very apologetic and handled our complaint well. Based on that, we will definitely give the restaurant another chance."

"This is a fun place to eat. Perhaps avoid an annivary dinner because the noise level is quite loud. The server was friendly and professional. We all got the beet salad which was good but mostly beets this time - with a few sprigs of greens. The presentation of the food was nice- the sea trout was perfectly cooked as well as the duck breast and steak. The creme brulee was amazing! Be careful where you sit- you could find yourself sitting about 2 feet from a brick wall- a bit unnerving. I definitely would recommend this restaurant for a place to go with friends."

"This was average in every respect. Some interesting appetizers but they were inconsistently prepared. For instance, the people at the next table had the bacon wrapped dates, but theirs came with a sauce (white) on top. Portions were on the small side, even for a pasta dish. Service was average but not very attentive."

"the food was extremely salty and not edible. It is a shame. When you dine at a farm to table restaurant, which promotes freshness, why destroy the food by oversalting it. I have been to this restaurant before and it was good, but now, the portions have shrunk even more and I am not sure I would go back"

"Two of us had dinner and Alain was our server. He was fabulous...attentive without hovering and ready with helpful tips. We had tempura calmari (light and tender), ramp toasts (delicious!), and lamb ragout (luscious comfort food). The only miss was the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were small and WAY overcooked. Another plus was that we showed up on half-price wine night and had two terrific wines that we would never have ordered at full price."

"Went to Ten Ten in a part of 4 and we liked it a lot. The food was tasty and the service was good. Some of the people in my party said their food was overly salty. My shrimp and grits were yummy. "We tried Ten-Ten Saturday night. The service was great and food tasty. The portion size was disappointing for the price point. My wife ordered Cioppino and it had less than ten seafood items in it. There were 4 mussels, 1 clam, 1 shrimp and a small piece of fish. Our friends each order the scallop dish and there were three on the plate. Each meal was over $25 so it was extermely disappointing."

"Business lunch with our group of six was better than expected. Food was delish, if a little slow to come to us. Can't be in a hurry there. It's a gorgeous space in the old Bagby furniture building. Parking was easy but there also is a whole foods across the street with free parking garage. Great location, friendly staff. Our table was waiting when we arrived. Thank you, Open table!"

"This restaurant was disappointing because it looked so promising at the beginning of the meal. The old warehouse is architecturally cool and we liked the decorating, etc. Our appetizer and salad were served promptly, but then it was another 30 minutes before our entrees arrived - seafood stew and gnocchi. The staff/management seemed unable to control the flow. The seafood stew broth was not very flavorful (my husband's meal) and the gnocchi (my meal) was wonderfully light with a delicious beurre blanc fondue, but it was overpowered by celery that was excessive and undercooked. We did not stay for dessert because of the slow service. I had thought I might take a friend there, but thinking back on the service issues, I don't think so."

Also, sometimes it took too long to get the attention of our server. Just not up to par for the money you spend. $26 for 3 scallops on a pinch of shredded brussels sprouts? Probably won't return, although the food was yummy."
