"The food is great, the ambience is great, it's everything else. The manager yelled at a hostess in front of us for "moving tables" in their system, then took us to our table. We were sat at a booth and since we had our 18 month old with us she asked if we wanted a booster seat or something for him. We replied yes and then waited. Our waiter came and got our drink order and then returned with our drinks and we still did not have a booster seat. We mentioned it to the waiter, he apologized and then went and seemed upset when he asked the hostess why we did not have one yet. It was obviously not the hostess' fault,the manager never got it. Turned out they didn't even have any at the restaurant. They had to go to another restaurant to get one."

"Not sure it is the best tact to have the waiter state no substitutions to the menu before any other greeting or any question from the guest. He made it seem they were booked full all day, but there were empty tables. The piece of meat in the country fried rib-eye was so thin, it was impossible to taste or distinguish from all the fried batter and gravy."

"We have been here several times and always enjoyed the mac and cheese and Tenderloin Bruschetta, both of which are amazing. The steaks are also very good for the price. The crÉme brulÉe is great for dessert. It is normally very quiet with great ambiance. I love to go there for date night as well as meeting old friends."

"We went for Mother's Day and the whole family was impressed! I loved that each item on the menu had 475 or less calories, was made with fresh, in-season ingredients, and that they don't use butter or microwaves. We had the shrimp chipoltle flatbread and lobster shrimp spring roll to start-both fantastic. Entrees chosen were Penne with shrimp and filet mignon both delicious. For dessert, a tray of 10-12 little glasses with different flavors was presented. We tried pecan pie, red velvet cake, and one called coffee something and enjoyed them all! We will definitely be back often this summer. The "craftsman style" decor with earth tones, fire places, stone and ambiant to low lighting was perfect for dining. Great service too!"

"Really enjoyed the atmoshpere. It wasn't too loud but it wasn't so quiet you felt you had to whisper. Great place for date night. The food was very good. I felt like the sauce on my stake was a little bland, but other than that everything was terrific. It was a busy night so our waiter did his best to keep up with us through out the meal. All in all a great experience."

"We have been to Winewood on many occasions and this time, were disappointed. Food was just not up to the standards we have experienced before. The mac and cheese was lukewarm, the caesar chicken salad had very thin, unflavorful dressing and was truly skimpy on the portion side, the hickory salmon was tasty but just not presented very well. Not sure we will return as it seems somebody is cutting corners somewhere."

"Winewood has become one of my favorites. Great quiet place to have lunch meetings for 2 or even large groups with private meeting rooms. Sunday Brunch is another good time with live Jazz music till 4:00. The food is always good as well as the service."

"Early dinner with my wife. Food was very good but the service was slow. This was frustrating as I could see the 6 or 7 waiters/waitresses hanging out by the kitchen talking and flirting with each other. I should never have to try to find my waiter as it is their job be attentive to me as a customer. Doubly frustrating because it was early and the restaurant was not busy so they had more then enough staff to provide exceptional attention."

"I set up a reservation at winewood for my boyfriends 25th birthday because the last time we had dined there the food and service was impeccable. When I made the reservation I requested that there be Kendall Jackson Chardonnay chilling on the table when we arrive as well as a candle. When we got to the restaurant, despite our reservation we had to wait a couple of minutes , and when we sat at the table there was a candle which was lovely, but no Chardonnay. The server informed us that they were out of Kendall Jackson and asked what I would like instead. I was a little put off by this only because I wish they would have called me prior to my reservation to inform me . They sat us directly next to the loud PDR , when I requested otherwise."

"Highland pork chop and pan seared snapper were very flavorful. Even the smoked gouda mac and cheese was on point. The fried calamari was slightly on the thick side with a touch of too much grease/batter. My only negative feedback on what I experienced regarding service was the at times dissappearance of the waiter. However, to our delight the pinot grigio he recommended was very smooth and only moderately priced.The pricing on the entrees themselves was probably 3% higher then they should have been. But given the portion size it turned out to be worth it. If you want a solid dinner experience from top to bottom Winewood is definitely a restaurant you should consider."

"I was in charge of making reservations for 20 at a restaurant for my Mom's birthday. I'm glad I chose Winewood. The staff is so nice and friendly, in person and on the phone. They took great care of us! I got many compliments, including from my Mom, on my choice of restaurant. This restaurant is pricey so it's not somewhere we'll go too often but I will definitely remember them next time we have a special occasion.
They are not very kid friendly but I understand that a lot of people like it that way. I have two children and had to order them something from the starters section because there is no section on the menu for children. That really wasn't that big of a deal though."

We had a table of eight with three children and 20 minutes after being seated we were finally offered were finally offered drinks and bread. Another 15 minutes before bread arrived and the children were in full meltdown. No kids menu here. Our server was sweet, but his boss did nothing to help him with understaffing."

"Enjoyed brunch at Winewood last weekend. The menu was really nicely done with lots of varied offerings. Three kinds of benedicts were offered and the most surprising of the three was the Winewood Benedict with pulled pork and chipotle hollandaise. it was definitely a hit. The seven of us shared the brioche cinnamon roll french toast. Also a bit hit."

"Winewood is one of my favorite restaurants. The service is excellent. I love the decor. Kind of Frank Lloyd Wright looking.
They have a great enclosed patio area. The food is always good. They have the best salmon I've ever tasted.
The only thing I don't like is the Jazz music. Just not a fan of Jazz and its a bit too loud for me.
I would love it if they played Frank Sinatra type music. It would go with the feel and mood of the restaurant.
I highly recommend it. We've taken friends and family there."

"I probably would recommend Winewood for drop in dining, but not special occasion. We had an Easter reservation at 1:00 and arrived a little early. Even with our reservation at 1:00, we were not seated until 1:30. We were waited on promptly, but did not receive our food until 2:10. Then we had to track down our waiter after about 2:30 to bring our check. They were not prepared for an Easter crowd. The kitchen was slow, and the wait staff was slow. They food was great, but when you have a reservation, you expect your table to be ready when you arrive or at least within 5 minutes. With 3 kids on Easter Sunday, Winewood just didn't work for us."

"Food was excellent. Service good - seemed a little slow in spite of the fact that there were a lot of empty tables at the time we were there. All 4 of us were a little cool in the main room (due to the air conditioner).
Our main complaint (we were 2 couples, each arriving in a separate vehicle) was the lack of parking!! Each of us drove around the parking lot several times to no avail (but there were lots of spaces "coned off" for Valet parking...). Each of us ended up having to park a block away on the street. "Winewood is my favorite Restaurant in the Metroplex. I live over 30 minutes away and take all my friends visiting the area here. You can go in Jeans and a tee shirt or a suit and tie and never feel out of place. It is romantic yet energized... good for a date or a night out with friends. Hands down my favorite restaurant!"

"The brunch here is fantastic. We've gone multiple times and always really enjoy the food and the service is great. It's our go-to brunch place to relax. The bottomless mimosas aren't stingy on the champagne and the bloody mary is a great price."

"This was my first visit and it was just OK. I have to say I had a different expectation so now understand what it is and were it belongs in my ratings. It is really a casual neighborhood place. I made a reservation and recieved two follow ups from the restaurant asking me to confirm. We dressed,I wore a sports coat. Most were in jeans when we entered until we left, the noise was so bad it was difficult to have a conversation. The food was actually very good. I see this as a good place for lunch or going for a drink and quick dinner. Food and pricing were good, but it felt like a step up from the Cotton Patch. The booths are very similar. I will eat there again and I will be very casual and my expectations will be met based on my experience."

"Although I didn't choose this restaurant for it's energetic hotspot reputation as I knew nothing about it, they accommodated my request for a table in a quiet place away from the noise. The waiter, Josh, was wonderful and accommodated our desire to leave on time to make it to our movie nearby. The food was well prepared and beautifully presented! "I don't usually write reviews, but I had to say how much I enjoyed the Winewood Grill! My husband and I went out for our "Valentines Day dinner" on Feb 16 (Saturday) and I was very impressed with the quality of the service and the food was delicious! I can honestly say every bite was amazing.... we had the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, then filet and scallops for my husband and ahi tuna for me. All excellent. Great wine list, and fantastic key lime pie for desert. The servers were informative and attentive (without being annoying!,and for a busy valentines weekend, that is very impressive! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice night out!"

"We were there for Valentines day. They had a special (limited) menu, which was a disappointment, since I had reviewed their normal menu before selecting the place. To make things worse, one item on the menu was priced incorrectly - $29 instead of $49. Our server did not tell us this until we actually ordered. He initially brought us the wrong appetizer, which we did not realize until the correct one came out later. My salad didn't arrive at all until I reminded him. Although presumably the purpose of the special menu was to make things easier for the kitchen to keep up on a busy night, it still took over 45 minutes for us to get our entree. Although the food was good, the overall experience was definitely not worth the price we paid."

"Winewood was a treat! We truly enjoyed the Pinot Noir we chose with dinner. The service was good considering the restaurant was packed. Food was really tasty! I had the trout with roasted corn and bean salad. Flavor packed and not too heavy. Reasonably priced. The only negative was the noise. Wow! It was loud. Will definitely go again, but not for a romantic meal, more for a group outing."

"We enjoyed the live jazz band and the beefy bruschetta. Neither my husband nor I cared for the orzo (too slippery?), but the seared ahi tuna on top of it was delicious.
