Pier 500 offers tables with a wonderful view of the St. Croix River and the historic Hudson Pier. We have a private dining area that can accommodate parties up to 30. When it comes to the food, don't worry- Executive Chef and Partner Scott Foster prides himself on having fresh, house made, recognizable food that consistently exceeds our guests expectations. Pier 500 has built a classic American menu that everyone can enjoy; offering house made soups, a variety of salads, generous sized sandwiches, Certified Angus Beef Burgers, and entrees such as Parmesan Crusted Walleye, BBQ Salmon Fillet, and our Char-grilled Top Sirloin to name a few! "I was not pleased at all when i got to pier 500 because i had looked at the menu online before i made the reservation to make sure i liked what i saw and when we were at the restaurant all of the items i was hoping to try were removed from the menu. Literally, that happened. i was not happy so i had a boring chicken sandwich for my anniversary dinner. Not impressed."

"The night we went in there was a lot of prom kids in and they were under staffed to handle that. We had to wait 45 minutes just to get our first drink. They brought the wrong food to the table the first time and then came with the right food and 2 of the 3 steaks were cooked brown all the way through. We also ordered 2 bottles of their wine that was on feature for the month and imagine that....they were out! After waiting for the new steaks she offered to buy us desert for the hastle....so we ordered 2 desserts for the 7 of us to share. She brings the bill and then tells us that just the one dessert was free. Really?? Really?? That's great customer service! :("

"It was very busy so it was crowded. We have eaten here many times but this time, it was too loud to hear each other speak. Flatbread margarita appetizer was very good and gave 3 people enough to share for a good taste. The lobster bisque didn't have any lobster in it but it was deliciously creamy and had good lobster flavor. My pork chops were dry - I couldn't even finish one and took the other home. Dinner companions reported that their meatloaf and pork loin were excellent. They had run out of the wine we generally order (on a Saturday night why weren't they stocked up?)so that was disappointing. Server was excellent - friendly, attentive, accommodating. Host staff looked vey nice and seated us immediately."

"We rally need to go to Pier 500 more often. Every time we make the short trip from the East metro suburbs of the Twin Cities, we are rewarded with excellent service, a great menu, and beautiful views of the St. Croix. ON this trip, my wife had the grilled meatloaf. I had the pork chops. The meatloaf is fairly traditional, with a unique twist - they put the pieces on the grill at the end to sear them, and give them that grilled flavor. My pork chops were the best I've had anywhere. Pier 500 must have a very hot grill. The chops were nicely seared on the outside, and tender and juicy inside. The side of apples give it a sweet, fresh from the farm taste. Paired with a great beer and wine selection, Pier 500 is definitely a favorite!"

"The service was good, our food and drinks came out quickly even though it was fairly busy in the restaurant. I had the special, chicken bruscetta with risoto, which was excellent. The other 2 in my group also liked their entrees as well. The decor in the restaurant is nice, kind of a modern feel; with a fireplace, and candles placed around the dining area. We were there for a birthday, and were offered a dessert for the occasion."

We usually enjoy Summer evenings or Winter cozy ones... close to the fireplace.
We like the appetizers, very in particular: the "Brie Cheese Curds".
Our waitress MARA H., a nice professional was really outstanding.
But, the man at the reception desk was not friendly and did not even take his time to seat anybody of our group at the table. Terrible impression!
The food was OK? NOT REALLY GOOD AT ALL, except for "THE CHEESE CURDS" that Mara H. resquested specially for us.

"Pier 500 has been a favorite of mine since I was introduced to the restaurant in 2012. I lived in St. Paul and had no idea this restaurant existed. The Parmesan Walleye has become my personal favorite and I have had it several times now. I surprised my wife with Valentines dinner there and had made arrangements to have flowers delivered to the table before we arrived. Needless to say, my wife was very pleased with the way everything was done and Pier staff were wonderful as usual from the front door, to the table, and upon leaving. The lobster tails could have come a bit warmer to the table, but otherwise a great exerience for us both. Thank you Pier 500, we'll be back. (This friday 2/22/13 actually for another family event)"

"This was Valentine's Day - a special day. The hostesses were dressed in leggings and tee shirts. Highly inappropriate. We were seated on time and by the window I had requested when I made the reservation. The baked mussels were delicious - but we shared the dish and the server only brought one fork. We had the pork chops and they were also melt-in-your-mouth tasty and tender but the hashed browns were much too salty (inedible). In fact, too much salt overall. Robust wine list. This was not my favorite menu - very limited. They offer a variety of huge steaks and a smaller sirloin but no rib eyes. Pasta, fish and chicken offerings were unremarkable. The special Valentine martini was indeed special - we loved every sip!"

"We decided to eat at Pier 500 for our 9th anniversary and it was an excellent decision. I requested a table near the fireplace, we were seated in a nice quiet area surround the fireplace the held only 4 table or so with a half wall surrounding. We had the Parmesan Crusted Shrimp for an appetizer. The shrimp were very good sized & perfectly cooked. We both had the Lobster Bisque. It was fantastic, my new favorite soup. We also both had the Queen cut prime rib, rare. It was the best prime rib we have had at a restaurant in YEARS! It was nicely seasoned, just enough salt and the Au Jus was perfect, again good beef flavor without being too salty. I had planned on having dessert but had no room left as the portion sizes were generous."
