"My husband is handicapped and I alerted restaurant that he wd be in a wheelchair and transfer to a regular chair at the table. Staff was ready for us when we arrived for reservation with a ramp at front door and a well thought out table to accomodate his special needs. I was VERY IMPRESSED with their thoughtfulness and efficiency...we had a wonderful evening!"

"The Rice Paddy Restaurant in Georgetown, SC, was put on the map by the "Susans," wonderful, inventive, hard-working local Pawleys Island gals that built the restaurant up from a tiny lunch cafe to a vibrant , "seen and be seen" lunch and dinner experience!!! The Susans worked tirelessly with an amazing staff to repeat a stellar dining experience day after day, and night after night! It was hard to get a reservation and the bar was always packed with locals and tourists alike!
Presently, the restaurant is under new ownership. We have continued to go to enjoy some of our favorite dishes that have remained on the menu, from the Susan's era. The food is still yummy, but the ambience is suffering. We hope, with time, that will change."

"I have enjoyed this restaurant on a few occasions, and the food is always excellent. The menu has a nice variety, focused on a low country faire Lacking was atmosphere(the place is a little stark), a nice bread offering, and a good salad.The bar and drink prep was exceptional. Overall a great place for a really good meal."

"For our first visit, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Rice Paddy. The service was wonderful, very leisurely lunch and the portions were just right. We often find eating out difficult as to the large amounts of food served. Very nice restaurant, we will be back!

"We have loved The Rice Paddy and have been going there for 15 years. Its still good but a little costly for a couple to eat a dinner with no salad and no dessert. WE only go maybe twice a year now. It would be nice if they would offer smaller plates in more thing."
