"This restaurant was awesome!! The service was fantastic. The food was delicious. Two people had the seafood special, which they said was very good. One person had a pasta dish and they raved about it. I ordered the grilled tuna with Asian ginger sauce and it was done to perfection. The waitress was very helpful to ensure the tuna was not overcooked. If in the area again, we would definitely visit again."

"I had the fresh fruit sangria, it was very good. We ordered the tempura bang bang shrimp for an app. It tasted very fishy, I was unable to even finish one piece. Then came salad, which was good. It had a homemade sweet dressing and grapes. The worst part of dinner had to have been the main course meats. I ordered skewers- shrimp, chicken, steak and veggies. All of the meat was horribly overcooked, I could barely get the meat off the skewer, and the tomatoes were cooked to mush. My husband ordered the steak special with lump crab meat. It was cooked well, but it was a very fatty piece of steak, and smothered in so much gravy that you couldn't taste the steak- the crab just completely disappeared. We were shocked to see is cost $40."

"Went here for the first time and the food was exceptional. Great dynamite sushi roll and really good crab spaghetti that was a huge dinner portion. The diver scallops were great but there were only 4 of them in the dinner portion at $25.50. The salad that came with dinner wasnt much of a salad as it was only lettuce and grapes. The wine list was expansive and reasonably priced. The server was prompt and courteous. Overall great food for a special occasion."

"Terra Nova is our go to restaurant. We had a very nice early dinner for Mother's day. We tried the Sonoma Skewers, Monterey Seafood Cioppino, and the Seafood Fazzoletti. All the food arrived hot, fresh and pleasantly plated. Our waitress checked back a few times to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything. We will continue to keep Terra Nova as our #1 neighborhood restaurant."

"As a single diner, I am used to seeing groups of people receive better service, than me. But here, I was virtually abandoned. I sat at a large table in the bar area. at the other end of the table was a party of five. My waitress spent much more time with them than me. I ordered a glass of wine and finished it well before my entree was done. She never asked if I wanted another glass until I was totally finished with my meal. I ordered the veal saltimbuca. The veal was a tad tough, the pasta way over done - almost mushy, the artichokes were perfect, but the entire plate was swimming in butter. I was very disappointed and will not return."

"Was a first date. We heard about the place and I had been passing it since it used to be the Italian Bistro many years ago but never tried it. We both were not really excited about the food. I mean it was not horrible, but it did not blow us away.
The place inside is beautiful. Nice atmosphere, prices were not over the top. I would try it again for another dish but not exactly itching to go back."

"Great food, great service, and a great value! The menu is quite unique (blend of sushi and italian cuisine) and every item we have tried has been cooked to perfection. The tiramisu is THE best we have ever had; usually we don't opt for desert in most restaurants, but this place is a huge exception to our rule! The portions are very large for the regular dishes, so we usually opt to feast on the "small plates" menu which is just enough food for us to enjoy without getting stuffed to the gills. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. The food is always good. The price is always right. What else can one ask for?"

"This was first visit to Terra Nova we had a 7:15 reservation when we got there at 7:15 we were handed a tuner and told we were going to have to wait 20 min we didn't get seated til 7:45. Then we got seated at this high table that wobbled and it took a very long time at least 20 min to at least get our drinks, and lastly the food was mediocre."

"We used to love this restaurant but were disappointed with our last visit. The food was just so-so. The salad was terrible - very basic and small. No choice of salad dressings which was bothersome to the couple we were with. Service was slow and we couldn't find out little waitress half the time. Veggies were way under-cooked and entrees were not served hot. Also, we all agreed the dinnerware (large rectangular white plates) was too large and heavy for the waitstaff to handle. Very noisy with clanging dishes and dropping far too many dishes in the open kitchen area. We probably won't go there again."

"The food was fantastic! The wine list was broad, but the option to get flights of wine was ideal. My girlfriend and I had both gotten flights, so we got to try six different kinds of wine! The only downfall I saw was that our waiter was not around that much. I found myself at times going "I'm out of wine. Depending on when our server comes back, will I even want another glass?" Maybe it was just that server. It was also a little bit expensive. A dinner date with 2 drinks per person ended up being about $100. It was worth the experience, but don't be surprised if your bill is high."

"The food was delicious and was pleased there was not a special fixed menu for Easter, giving us the freedom to order right off their regular menu. I think the drink prices were very expensive, from a soda all the way up to a martini. A small glass of beer was priced for one of at least twice the size, and for the price of a martini they should at least give you more than two sips worth. I'd expect that in Philadelphia, not Sewell, NJ."

"I have been a regular since Terra Nova opened with paper table cloths that your waiter wrote his name on. Although they have upgraded to linen, some of the food is just not what it used to be. Celebrating mother's b'day with party of 10. Several of us had steak special (sirloin toped with crab in cream sauce). The steak was tough and fatty; not a good cut at all. My husband had the ribeye which was equally dissatisfying. Also noted that not all of the seafood is fresh...calamari rings definitely frozen. Terra Nova has many great qualities but need to better monitor food quality."

"Disappointed that after we ordered from regular menu we were told that we could not order any of the items under the "Pre-Fix section" which should have been available from 4pm - 6pm because it was restaurant week. We had looked at the menu before hand as well as when we were there and were looking forward to our planned meals and cost. Only to find out we could not because the restaurant was pushing a 4 course menu costing $35 per person instead. Nobody was interested in a 4 course meal.
This was a farwell gathering for a work colleague and we would have selected a different location had we known what was shown on their website was not accurate."

"Glad this restaurant is in my neighborhood. Food is consistently good. Great happy hour specials at the bar but prefer to do dinner. Menu offers a wide variety of ecclectic diner choices. Grilled fish selections are among our favorites. Have brought friends and family and all very satisified as well."

"Terra Nova is a busy place and the only reason we found it was because it was on Open Table. I'm glad I did. Food was very good and great presentation. Prices were competitive. I would go back for sure.
My only real complaint was the ladies room. With such a big place and hundreds of people inside, it needs to be monitored more carefully. There was water on the floor and paper towels overflowed from the trash cans. More attention more frequently would make a big difference."

"Our waitress was either having a bad day or just didn't care to smile or act like she was interested in being there. We felt like we were intruding on her time. I had asked for an opinion on which of the two entrees i was deciding between were the better of the two and it was like pulling teeth. I am not expecting a red carpet pulled out for me when I'm dining out but we don't do it often so when you do i would like to be treated with respect It was a shame because the food was excellent but i would think twice before bringing other people there in fear our servers behavior.

"We eat here very often - the food is consistently good and waitress service excellent. The only downfall is the service as far as the hostess stand. We had a 7:45pm reservation and were seated at 8:40pm - same for lots of people waiting in the bar area - the ones that are seated first are the ones that stand right in front of the hostess stand and look annoyed. We prefer to relax in the bar with our "buzzer" even if it means we wait. If you are in a hurry on a weekend and counting on your reservation time - go somewhere else. If not - the food and service is worth the wait. This of course is the same hostess stand that asked my 17 year old if he wanted a kids menu - they are a bit out of it. The only slight negative here."

"The food was just okay. Nothing special. The service once we go to our table was okay. We had reservations for 7:00 p.m. and were not seated until 7:45. We asked a few times and were told that they allow 2 hours for each party and some just stay longer. We had to stand for 45 minutes in a crowded lobby. The receptionist told us to have a seat in the bar while we wait - there were no seats in the bar - the lobby was packed. I won't go back. Honestly we have had better meals at chain restaurants such as Bonefish Grill."

"It was pretty loud and crowded. Our appetizers and entrees both took too long to come to the table. My crab cake was below average,perched on top of a lump of tartar sauce if you can imagine. This immediately concerned me because any good crab cake needs no condiment whatsoever. The tilapia my girlfriend had was tasty and they did have an extensive selection of fish. I am not sure I will go back. I was disappointed."

"I LOVE Terra Nova. It was our Second time going. We went there for our Anniversary and then went again for Valentines Day. On Valentines Day we brought our best friends with us and they LOVED IT! They agreed that it would be their new date night restaurant.
The fact that the appetizers are so amazing and then offering Small plates is just perfect. You don't stuff yourself silly. And the Olive Capponata is the BEST!
I highly recommend this place...you have to try it!"
