Honu's on the Beach Restaurant
Honu's on the Beach Restaurant features the most spectacular Breakfast Buffet with fresh island fruits, bakery items and breakfast basics enhanced by our famed "Live Omelet and Waffle Station". Ala carte menu available.
We welcome you in joining Executive Chef George Gomes, Jr. & our entire Honu's team with our newest "Farm to Table" menu featuring our signature Beef "Tataki" entree (Cuisine selections available Sunday to Thursday).
On Friday and Saturday evenings we feature our Famed Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet with a raw bar, appetizers and salads. Entrees include our Chef's weekly selections of fresh catch and specialty seafood and of course our "Slowed Roasted Prime Rib Au Jus and Steamed Snow Crab Legs". Adults: $41.95, Children (6-12yrs) $22.00.

"After walking in to the hotel lobby I was not expecting such an elegant dining experience. We sat near the firepits and had a wonderful romantic meal. There was a lovely jazz duo playing. For an area that does not always serve up the most remarkeable food, I was greatly impressed with the meal we had."

"It is always a pleasure to visit the hotel complex. From the parking lot to each waiter was an "aloha-experience". The food and was fantastic. It was a pleasant experience to find the open-air dinning. Thank you and aloha!"

"My husband and I went there to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We were met with a card signed by all the employees and a promise of a complimentary dessert. The only reason I did not give this restaurant 5 stars is they forgot the free dessert and I felt after giving us a card and making a point of mentioning it they should have honored it. Other than that the food was great as was the ambience."

"The food was excellent, my husband had the scallops and I had the beef tataki. It was delicious. The appetizer calamari was great as well. Only ding was the rolls, they seemed like the type you get in a cheap diner. The atmosphere also screamed "breakfast buffet location by day", it was a shame. I assume it's probably why there weren't many people there. The space was large, they should divide the breakfast location and dinner locations into two and make Honu's a dinner hot spot and centerpiece the bar area."

"We were really lucky that there was fine dining in the hotel we were staying at for a wedding. The convenience probably would've had us eating there regardless so it was a real joy to find a terrific menu;well presented and tasteful food. The star however was the waiter we happened to get twice. He was a joy professional knowledgeable sincere and genuine and fun. Two nights later we dined at Honu again and we're lucky to get Cisco as our waiter again. Not only did he remember us and make us feel wanted, but when he started with me for cocktail order he asked if I'd like an absolute, soda with lime again this evening! He remembered what i drank from two nights earlier! five of us had splendid experience. wonderful ambiance and view"

"Overlooking the beach and bay the location is perfect for any occasion. Attached to the King Kamehameha hotel it has inside and outside seating with lovely cauldron fires for warmth but in April the climate is perfect for outside dining. At $41 the Friday buffet was expensive but nothing was missed in terms of types of food or service. If you want something cheaper the bar next door has a different, more simple menu but the food is prepared in the same kitchens. It was a fabulous start to our vacation."

"Hionu's a pleasant place to dine, with a terrace looking out over a lawn and Kona Bay. We were very pleased with our dinner, with a few wrinkles that hopefully will get ironed out over time. The maitai was made from good ingredients, not the crumby mix some places use. Our Ceasar salads were tasty. The seared ahi dinner included a sushi roll that was briefly fried in tempura, and the flavors of everything were delicious. The scallops were just lightly cooked. The steak was a little overcooked, but very tender and tasty, and the garlic greens were delicious. The house-made fig ice cream was great, but the molten lava cake was not molten. Service was a tad slow but friendly. They just need to avoid overcooking a few things."

"Lovely outdoor dining space with great view however the food was marginal, at best. The Mai tais were made with a mix that tasted more of sweet and sour than rum. The waiter was gracious about us sending the drinks back. We were then disappointed in the wine list selections. Overall we were disappointed."
