Review 2 for 1862 David Walley's Restaurant and Saloon
"Food was great. Wonderful flavor. I had the elk. Very rich bold flavor. It was slightly over cooked. My wife had the filet and had to send it back for being over cooked. The staff handled the situation well and quickly cooked up a new steak the was perfect.. Our server seemed a little in over her head. She only refilled our drinks once and was slow with the check. I would go again but I'm not chomping at the bit to do so."

Review 3 for 1862 David Walley's Restaurant and Saloon
"Food was small and high priced. Spinach salad was four good bites. NY steak was not the quality that the price would justify. Somewhat tough with grissle. Salmon didn' t have much flavor. The steak was 10oz and the Salmon serving was pretty small as well. Both came with one little scoop of mashed potatoes with some little veggies draped across. Desert was a bit of white chocolate something in a little glass. All in all not much of a dinner. We were quite literally still hungry after dinner. These dinners were offered on their 3 course prixe fixe menu at $35 each."

Review 4 for 1862 David Walley's Restaurant and Saloon
"Something just seemed off. Staff were friendly, but we weren't offered a wine list (or asked for a drink order). When courses were dropped at our table, while the server was carrying a pepper mill, we were never asked if we wanted pepper on anything. Apparently there was some error in the way orders went into the kitchen, because attempts were made to serve us the appetizers, entrees and desserts for two other tables. Flavor of the food was great on the meats (pork and lamb) and just Bland on the sides. I enjoyed the crime brûlée; my wife thought the cookie base for her Sunday was seriously undercooked."

Review 5 for 1862 David Walley's Restaurant and Saloon
"My family has been dining at D.Walley's restaurant for many years for family reunions, our 50th anniversary in the gazebo and this Saturday night was as special as all of them put together. It was a special birthday largely because the entire staff, from the greeting by the charming manager at the door to everyone else who worked there that evening, made sure we were treated like Royalty. In particular I wish to thank our waiter who definitely made it special and although we don't have his name, we are hoping that next time we go he will be willing to help us again. Thank you to everyone. Claire, Chrys and Nancy (reservation was under the name of Chrys Main)"

Review 6 for 1862 David Walley's Restaurant and Saloon
"The place was dead quiet and the hostess wanted to seat us at a table next to the servers station. They moved of and the first time the server came to greet us, instead of introducing herself, she says "are you ready to order?" We had to ask if there were specials and to get a glass of wine. The food was pretty good but not worth the price. The lighting was terrible at our table with overhead floods while the surrounding tables had dimmed lights and candles. I would not return."
