Welcome to Wasabi. You are in good hands.
"I have been going to Wasabi on Broadway ever since I got into the sushi craze, about 10 years ago. The food is always expertly prepared and presented, service is exceptional and i always feel comfortable going there, even on my own. I have moved out of Winnipeg but still intend on going there when I come into town. Thumbs up!"

"The food was very good but the noise level in the upstairs traditional dining area was incredibly loud and the wait for our food was pretty long. I also found the service to be pretty mediocre even though patrons are paying a lot of money to eat there. I feel the service needs to be more attentive and quicker (at least the server should update the table if the kitchen is behind or food will be later then usual). My table of 5 went on a saturday night so it was very busy and fully booked but that should be no excuse for incredibly slow service (perhaps have more staff booked on weekends or busy nights?). I probably would only go back for a friend/family members special occasion but generally speaking the menu is a bit too expensive."

"We ordered 2 dishes (butterfish which was very tasty. And tortilla pizza which was also good ). Two sushi rolls a) new style and b) rainbow sushi. Each roll cost $15. Quality was average but definitely I was disappointed given that I heard "wasibi" served fresh fish and better quality henece it was more $$ than over places. If it was priced ~$7-8 per roll then yes maybe I would consider going back but with the 2 dishes plus 2 sushi it cost us $67! For that price I've had better experience some here else where it made me go "wow" after eating a roll because the sashimi was very fresh (on grant. Yujiro sushi) And trust me... There is a difference. Service and atmosphere was great! No complaints about that. Would I go back?? Probably not."

"This is one of may favourite sushi restaurants in the city and only one of two that I would ever consider doing the "Omakase". The service prompt, friendly, and attentive. The dining experience was phenomenal, the range of flavours and textures in each of the courses was exciting. The Omakase is an indulgence that everyone who enjoys the craft of sushi and the art of food needs to include in their culinary repertoire."

"We have been fans of the Wasabi group of restaurants for years. We stopped by the Broadway place on Saturday night at 7 pm. The place was really empty... and tired looking. They appear to not have repainted or done any updates for 10 years! Paint chipped, chairs squeaky... just tired looking. The food as always was great, expensive but worth it. But the vibe was missing...where are all the people? No doubt many have decamped to the lovely Wasabi Sabi in the suburbs (which is always buzzing and delightfully decorated). It was also the Winnipeg Dines week and so the masses may have been off in search of $36 meals...but Wasabi on Broadway still has a lot to offer - just need to wake the old girl up a bit!"
