"Quality comfort food, attentive service. With Grandpa and Grandma in their 80's we were afraid the food might be too spicy but it was well balanced. The Hostess tried to put us at a high top in the bar area, but my wife pointed to the elderly couple and she immediately led us to a quieter room in the back, with a bench. No complaints about the food from our diverse group of six."

"Food is imaginative and nicely presented - and tasty.
Wait staff is efficient and helpful. There's a pretty substantial delay between the appetizer arriving and the main course.
A reservation on Open Table does not provide an actual reservation. It just puts you on their wait list, otherwise "it wouldn't be fair to people who have been waiting a while even if they didn't make a reservation." What?"

"We were able to be seated right away. The space was cute and clean. The food was just ok, nothing special, but the bacon was delicious! Our server left us feeling neglected. Probably won't go back."

"Having made reservations fro 5:30 I was thoroughly disappointed when walking past a restaurant full of empty tables we were sat at the back in a corner. As far as the food goes: the Caesar salad was OK, the Philly steak and cheese had a nice bite to it but the Duck Phat Fries were soggy and tasteless. The Popcorn Pork was completely disappointing. A little salt and pepper would have helped this very bland dish out a bit. This was our second time to visit and most likely our last. I don't make reservations to be seated in a second-hand style."

"This was the second time I have been to the Berkshire, but the first time I was there for Dinner. My boyfriend and I went because it was his birthday and Denver's 5280 was in full swing. The food was delicious, the service outstanding, and the ambiance of the restaurant was romantic, yet casual. It didn't feel hoity toity, which you can sometimes get with a lot of the restaurants on the 5280 list. I love that the Berkshire puts bacon on anything it can, and I love the bottomless mimosas during their brunch hours."

"This was my first visit to the Berkshire and overall it was good. We were there for Restaurant Weeks and found the menu to offer plenty of choices. All of our food was cooked just right and presented very nicely and creatively however every dish was bland and seemed not to have been seasoned which we found surprising given the presentations and proper cook temps. Best part was that Wed. nights are 50% off bottles of wine so we doubled down there on a tasty Barbera! THe wine we ordered was good but much of the wine list was too pedestrian for our groups tastes. Will be back on Wed. nights for more Barbera, bacon flights and friend pickles at the bar for sure."

"We took my husband for 5280 restaurant week and for his birthday. He was so excited that there was a bacon option every course. I don't usually get chicken but it was juicy and the risotto with bacon was gorgeous. We don't normally like bread pudding but the bread pudding here was delicious. Don't let the bacon sprinkles intimidate you."

"We went there for the 5280 deal and was quite impressed on the quality and portions of the food. The everyday menu looks inviting, so we will go back again soon."

"Our reservation was set for 5:30, we arrived on time and were seated fairly quickly. It took our server about 10 minutes before she ever came to our table, she took our drink orders and immediately left. It took another 10 minutes before she came back to take our dinner order...in this time, another table who had been seated AFTER us (with a different waiter) had already received their drinks and food. Our server then proceeded to ignore us, with no water/drink refills for the next 25 minutes. We had been sitting at our table for over 45 minutes before anyone came over to apologize that our appetizers were "running late" - 45 minutes, obviously they are running late. Overall horrible service and mediocre entres - never returning."

"Great food, just don't visit for 5280 week. The server was very adamant about not serving the 5280 menu and to up sale everything. The down side is I would have never known about the place if it wasn't for 5280 and came in for the menu they were offering because it sounded good. I would have came back a different time that wasn't 5280 but I was turned off by the server steering us away that menu it was disappointing."

"Food was awesome. Pork specialties galore. Yum! Wait staff was prompt, attentive, but not annoying. Love the Berk and always look forward to dining there. Only negative, sat along a half wall with bar patrons sitting on the other side. They hovered over our table/conversation and at times we were accidentally kicked by them. For a 2 top, sit elsewhere if you can."

"My husband I were so excited to visit The Berkshire to kick off 5280 Restaurant Week, but unfortunately our meal was underwhelming. While their pig-centered focus is a great concept, nearly all our dishes were lacking in basic seasoning! Their deviled eggs appetizer and pork belly/scallop entrée were both seriously missing salt. Not sure if we'll go back again..."

"What a great meal. We were there for Denver Restaurant Week, and depending on the place, you can get the feeling that you're somehow a second class citizen for taking advantage of the prix fixe menu that DRW is all about. Not here. They were lovely, and super-accommodating. My wife is sensitive to gluten and dairy...which presents an understandable challenge for a hurried (and sometimes harried) wait staff. The chef came out from the kitchen to talk to her about what she could and could not eat, and went into detail about how each item was prepared until they found something that would work. We will definitely be back."

"We had a very friendly waitress, who checked on us often. We hadn't been there in a while, and the food is great, though the addition of TVs added to the overall noise. Not sure I would recommend this as a quiet dinner spot. If you want a bustling place, this is it!"

"The food was delicious! We were so happy to find this through restaurant week. Some of the items we ordered were not available anymore that evening, but the staff more than made up for it with substitutions and friendliness. We will definitely be back."

"Great food and great service. Very nice dining experience. We will go back to The Berkshire and take some friends. Overall the ambience of The Berkshire deserves an Excellent rating. The only reason for the Very Good rating on ambience and the only reason for it not being Excellent was the noise level coming from the bar. The folks in the happy hour crowd were very, very loud."

"The restaurant had a special salmon dish that evening. Since I am gluten and dairy free, the sides that came with it, I could not eat. When I asked if the roasted brussels sprouts and asparagus from another dish could be added instead, the server got an attitude and acted like it could not be done. I encouraged her to ask the Chef. He/she said it could not be done. I have a food service & hotel background and have a hard time understanding what is so hard about throwing the veggies on the plate instead of mashed potatoes etc... Did not leave a very good feeling with me. I have brunch reservations this weekend and I hope it is a better experience."

"The hostess sat us in the poorest location. It was a beat up dumpy place the bar was lively we were sat at a two seat small table next to bar. Cramped and small table not much if what an open table user would be expecting. We were moved to a real table. My food was uninspired later found out new cook staff was some of the issues. Poorly managed poorly run. So so food. I stay at the hiss inn a few blocks away. Not planning to go back"

"Walking in the door we were assaulted by the noise at the bar. Thankfully the host led us to the back room away from the bar noise. The lighting was so dim that I had to hold my menu near the window so I could read it. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly at first. We ordered the bacon flight but had not decided on entrees yet so we asked the waiter for another couple of minutes before ordering. Our bacon flight was very tasty. A bit overpriced at $14. We finished the bacon and watched 2 tables that had come in after us order their food and then we waited another 10 minutes before our waiter came back to take our order. Chicken entree was just OK."

"The Berkshire is a pretty cool restaurant with a pretty good list of cocktails (Margaritas are great!). The food was not particularly memorable and the service was ok. Try to Bacon Toffee Pudding for desert if you have a chance, it is excellent!"
