The legendary Palace Restaurant and Saloon recalls the gambling halls and bordellos of the Old West. The menu is comprised of affordable contemporary and classic American dishes. Just two blocks from the Plaza in downtown Santa Fe, The Palace is perfectly located for visitors and locals. The saloon is always buzzing and enjoyable live music is a regular feature. Private and seasonal outdoor dining options are available.
"the goat curry stew was absolutely amazing, as was the braised short rib as an appetizer. Would not recommend the tuna steak sandwich although it was certainly satisfying. Definitely walked out feeling full."

"We went here on a Friday night at 7pm and the restaurant was about 1/3 full...but I have no idea why! The food was excellent, as was the service. If you're looking for a restaurant in Santa Fe at the last minute, I'd definitely recommend checking this one out. You won't be disappointed."

"Just had a wonderful lunch at the Palace which is a short walk from the Plaza (about a block West). Had a magnificent/killer drink from the bar, and the BLT which came with FRESH salad and a blue cheese dressing with more flavor than ever! Husband had cobb salad with HUGE pieces of blue cheese! Oddly the pickles on the BLT are wonderful! Nice surprise. Will come again for lunch!"

"I requested a reservation in the bar area and received an e-mail confirmation. When we arrived the hostess told us they do not take reservations in the bar. When we entered the bar area there was a table for six I believe, with a "Reserved" sign on it. I asked if that was our table and was told it was not. She offered to move two small tables together to accommodate our party of four. But we opted to sit at a table for six or eight. There were flashlights clipped to the menus so that we could read them as its very dark in the bar. The noise level made it difficult to carry on a conversation. I would try to dining room if I ever return as it was quieter. Much confusion re the reservation."

"Searched online for special place to take daughter and nieces -- struggled to find ambiance, near plaza, but with a menu that had some kid-friendly options. We were all very pleased with this restaurant!"

"We had high expectations of the Palace and were disappointed. It is my birthday tradition to stay at the El Dorado and walk to the Palace. Last year the experience was excellent. This year we were disappointed by the food and felt that the ambiance was sad due to lack of customers. We were one of only 2-3 tables in the restaurant. Service was attentive. It could not be otherwise due to lack of customers. We will not likely return and will not give high recommendation to friends."

"We were disappointed. There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant and one person in the bar at high noon. The menu sounds good and restaurant has been renovated and is beautiful. However, the food just did not measure up to the reputation the old Palace had. We have been to the Palace many times in the past but it now has a new owner and maybe we were expecting the past high quality when we booked. We were excited about trying it again after it had been closed for so long. With some big changes in the quality of the food and training the help it might return to the fine dining establishment it once was."
