"Some food was good, some bad. The pork sandwich was great but my wife's nachos were soggy.
I would recommend this place for drinks and apps but would question it for dinner. Fun atmosphere and good, friendly service though.
I would return."

"Have truly enjoyed Blu Que in past visits, particularly enjoyed the AYCE Wed lobster special. We understood when told this time the lobster market has changed and the new Wed lobster special had changed to mean max 3 lobsters for $35, (although still advertised in newspaper as AYCE). Previously, special included a good soup and salad. This time we were disappointed to learn abruptly that the lobster special had been further cut w/o notice to mean 'lobsters only'. Lobster reduction understood -- elimination of soup and salad impresses us as penurious. Lobsters served overcooked, on a bare metal tray - 1 lonely lemon wedge & melted butter? - maybe oil. No small fork. When small fork requested, fondue fork appeared. Weird."

"We were a group of seven with a car coming from North of Tampa and a second group from Sanibel Island. We didn't know the area and choose the restaurant form the Open Table listings. It worked perfect for our needs. The restaurant was able to let us sit at the table and wait for our group to arrive (about 20 minutes). They met our pace with drinks and appetizers and later entrees and dessert. They were in no rush to move us. We had a wonderful afternoon. The food was typical bar food and not super impressive. The service was fantastic. I recommend this restaurant for large parties or a quick bite. Loved the steel drum music."

"We arrived at 4:30 on a Saturday and we were the only diners. The wait staff vastly outnumbered us but were nowhere to be found when we needed something. The waitress served us our lobsters with no bibs or picks. It was served uncracked and we had a hard time eating them. My potato was served cold and had to be reaheated. When I tried to signal
a waiter to ask for our waitress, I was met with glazed indifference. Our request for more butter sauce resulted in the butter sauce being brought at the end of the meal.

"I had higher hopes for Blu Que Island, but upon arrival for lunch I just had a sense that this was another one of those restaurants that really is a bar but happens to serve food as well. The live music should have told me so! The food was rather bland. I ordered grouper, since it's a local fish - asked to have it blackened but is was delivered with little seasoning. It was quite fresh, but lacked taste. I read about these famous potato fries with blue cheese dressing - a big disappointment. The potato's had obviously been cooked for some time already, probably sitting under a heat lamp. I can say I went, but probably wouldn't go back, except for having a Guinness at the bar."

"have been there often for the all you can eat lobster special...took a friend for his birthday with our boss on wednesday and although advertised all you can eat, there was a note on the table stating there was a 5 lobster limit. although the owner honored the all you can eat the waiter stated they were running out and grabbed 2 and put them in for us and we were only at 4 each and then saw many lobsters going by to other tables afterwards...offered to exchange snow crab leg which i can get at any chinese restaurant for $13.99 all you can eat!!! won't be going back until all you can eat means all you can eat!!! FYI our tab for 3 people was $153.00 so i dont think they would have lost money on us as well!!!"

"I wouldn't know how the food was because we didn't get to eat. Made reservations for 7:30 ordered all you can eat lobster and a 2 lobster dinner. Well 45 minutes later I had to ask for my salad and never got it anyways. Then the waiter comes back to tell us that they ran out of lobster. ... @ 8:30. Mind you an hour after our reservation and 45 min after we ordered..... Charged us for drinks and we left without eating. Needless to say I will never go back. What a let down!!! Was looking foward to it all day. How do you advertise All you can eat and run out??? RIDICULOUS!!!"

"BBQ items come without the sauce & you need to squirt your own sauce on out of a bottle - didn't like this because meat seemed drier than when it is cooked in the sauce. Didn't realize this or I would not have order the ribs because they were dry. But loved the venue, nice little FL restaurant."

"The smells from the smoker entice you as you walk in! We ate outdoors on their covered porch, and had a pulled pork sandwich, a brisket dinner and a crab cake as our choices. There was live music at lunch- tropical rock, and he was great! The menu is extensive with prices ranging from low to high, including prime rib, lobster, etc."

"We had six people in our party and, between us, ordered 4 different entrees. All were good. I will say that if you order the pulled smoked chicken, you will need to add sauce. (And they provide a variety of sauces). The chicken had good flavor but was on the dry side. My sister proclaimed the shrimp pasta dee-lish! Oh and I did a carb/calorie splurge and had the Mac n cheese ball as a side item. Be forewarned--it's like a hockey puck--heavy and lethal......but interesting."

"Fun place and in theme for Siesta Key. Good Ambiance, good drinks, great music! Must note: We were absolutely disappointed that food on menu for the specific night of our visit was not available. We made plans specifically around the BluQue's menu (items on specific days). We arranged our flights to Florida from Ohio and Wisconsin in anticipation of fulfilling a family tradition. However, we were sadly disappointed! The wait staff was very polite and apologetic, although did not provide any resolution."
