"Food was great and presenstation was fantastic! However, service was lacking. Our waiter had to be always asked to refill our waters or tea. Not once did he check up on us to see if we needed anything. That was disappointing."

"Great for Kings fans. Full pre game and the kitchen and service kept up. The sushi was good quality ingredients, but hurriedly prepared, with adequate, but not artful presentation. The happy hour prices and hours are awesome. It is loud inside, but if the weather is nice, the six seat patio by the entrance overlooking the street is a good choice."

"The house salad was wonderful with a fresh citrus based dressing and some mint leaves that added to the total salad. I appreciate that you can order brown rice and the salmon sashimi was fresh and a generous portion. The waiter was friendly and helpful and did everything with a smile."

"Great lunch specials. Don't expect a quick lunch. It'll take ur full hour to enjoy the food n it's not fast food to the table. Treat it like a dine- in or u'll not allot enuf time. Best bento teriyaki lunch specials n very filling portions."

"We went here before a concert at Staples Center and it was great. The fish was very fresh and the food came out quickly. It was very crowded while we were there (Friday night/6:30) so I would definitely recommend reservations if you are on a time schedule. It is a small, casual restaurant. The table they sat us at was just ok and for some reason they forgot the brown rice we ordered and we had to ask for it repeatedly. These were the only downsides to our meal. The sushi was delicious."

"My husband and I had a lovely dinner at Arashi before a show recently and were very pleased with our experience. The service was great and the food was all very fresh and absolutely delicious! The menu is well varied and we completely enjoyed each dish we tried. The inside is well decorated and there is a small outside dining counter. We were very happy with our experience and with the Happy Hour it is an even better value. We feel like we found a gem! We will dine there again."

"This place is convenient if you're in the LA Live, Staples Center, Convention Center area. It's within walking distance and right behind the Palms restaurant.
They have pretty good lunch specials but I ordered off the regular menu just because the portion sizes were different.
I had the tofu salad & salmon hand roll. The salad looks small, but it's big and loaded with tofu! The sesame dressing goes well with everything.
The salmon hand roll was good too! There were hefty pieces of salmon which made my belly happy :) If I'm ever in the area I'll definitely be back!"

"I met a friend here before we went to the theater (Music Center) and had difficulty finding parking as my GPS did not send me on 11th. There IS Valet parking so you can avoid the $25 parking sign which was only out due the Laker game - this restaurant is very close to the Staples Center so foot and vehicle traffic affect accessbility a bit. LOVED the food. Great different choices for sushi (& I eat sushi 2-3X a wk) & this was very good. I didn't sit at bar & to get something ordered while I waited & even during our meal was like flagging down roadside assistance after a flat tire. FOOD graet - Service horrible but food arrived fast when ordered. Its just getting that order in that is tough."

"There was an issue with our food and the waiter could not have done a better job handling our concerns. The staff were very apologetic and very professional. I can only wish other restaurants would do the same -- Kudos to the staff and manager."

"We were looking for someplace to ear while in town for a conference. We decided on Arashi Sushi. I have to admit that I was disappointed when I looked at the menu because they didn't have some of my favorite sushi items but what I ate was very flavorful. I loved their Poke Salad. The fish tasted fresh and the sauce had the right amount of kick to it. The only complaint I would have is that for my friend that ordered and entree, received her soup and moments later her salad arrived. She wasn't able to finish both before her salmon got to the table. She said the salmon was delicious."

"A popular and busy restaurant located near LA Live/Staples Center. Walk-ins are difficult at peak time (before a game or music event). Happy Hour is a bargain! Food is delicious. The staff is young and service is sometimes slow and inattentive, but never rude."

"Really good sushi, better than most. Good service too. A bit crowded before the games at Staples, but not a long wait. If you want a real sushi bar as opposed to the trendy one at LA Live, this is the place for pre-game Japanese food."
