"Mainly had dim sum . One of our dishes was too cold, but the manager was great and replaced it immediately. Reservations are a must since it can get really busy."

"Went twice, once for lunch when Dim Sum is only available; the place was good and the service was great; however, the 2nd time there for dinner in the weekend wasn't as good. Even with a reservation we had to wait over 45 minutes, and the service wasn't as good. I think I will only go back for lunch."

"We came to Capital Seafood to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a group of 5 and service was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. I highly recommend the filet cubes - melt in your mouth deliciousness!! The chef's special fried rice was great too with shrimp, egg, scallop and seaweed. The floating dragon dumpling was my favorite though, hands down. So juicy and yummy! The lychee martini was good, but I've had better in Hawaii. Overall, I would definitely come back."

"My husband and I enjoy dining at Capitol the service is good and the food is not to Americanized for those looking to enjoy a more authentic meal. The one dish we order every time is the Honey walnut Shrimp. if you like shrimp you wont be disappointed."

"First time eating at Capital. The staff was very pleasant, friendly, and prompt service. The food was absolutely incredible, very fresh, great flavors, and a very large menu. My husband and I are excited to find this new spot. We will continue to dine here! I highly suggest that you try this fabulous restaurant .... you will not be disappointed."

"We were so impressed with the service. I believe that five or six waiters took care of us. The manager ever came by the tables. Food was so good. We will definitely be back."

"Good quality, good variety, good service. The staff that brings the dim sum in the carts seems a little more cheerful than many older dum sum restaurants. Staff is very attentive. And even though it's in Irvine Spectrum the prices are reasonable."

"quantity and quality. took employee's family out. still affordable and we were only able to eat half the food. seven people and less than 200$. the food was great but i think i will order differently next time. the family next to us had it down. order one dish, if you finish it order another etc etc. the shrimp was like nothing i've seen before ... they were huge. highly recommend the honey walnut shrimp, the appetizer pork with pickled veggies.
the waiters were very friendly and when i wanted a noodle dish and fish, he said, order the special fish and i'll put it over noodles. It was awesome!!
great atmosphere, great service, great food."

"We sat at least 15 minutes before anyone asked if we needed anything and took our order - and we were early (5:00pm), only a few tables sat at the time. Had to flag down staff for re-fills, and for the bill. Food was pretty good, though the noodle dish we had was a bit dry and the curry was just thrown on it, not worked into the dish very well. We also had the pineapple fried rice, and that was very delicious, along with the chicken and mushrooms dish. Overall was not very thrilled with the quality of service for the price we paid."

"The service was outstanding. We enjoyed the soup dumplings and the house special shrimp. The beef with chinese broccoli was just okay. The beef did not have any flavor, but the broccoli was delicious. We will be back to try other items. We usually order to the lobster but 4lbs was too big for 2. Maybe management will consider 2 or 3 lb lobsters on the weekends."

"This was second time visit. At first visit, we received an excellent service and experience. Shrimp was cooked perfect, beef was soft and tender, and the manager(?) was friendly and gave us extra desert which was our favorite. This second visit was a little disappointed because the string beans and seafood were over cooked and Tofu dish was not good as before. The manager(?) was at one table at the whole time and didn't have a chance to talk while we were there."

"The food was very good. There was nothing fantastic about anything though. My impression may be slighted because we went in for Dim Sum and were told they only serve it until 3:00."

"I read some reviews saying the service is pretty bad so I wasn't expecting anything service wise but it is AWFUL. We made reservation on Easter Sunday for lunch because we knew it was going to be busy. The hostess didn't seem like she was organized. Our reservation was at 12:15, we got there on time and she told us we had to wait because there was no table. What's the point of making a reservation?? But we thought it wouldn't be a long wait...WRONG. By the time we were seated, It was already 12:50. Our waiter forgot to bring us tea pot and he finally brought it to us when we were having desert...too late:( We asked for a full menu and he forgot. We asked for water and he forgot. Dim sum carts were nearly empty all the time. Not going back"

"As always, Capital Seafood at Irvine Spectrum has excellent authentic Chinese food - we tend to order their Cantonese style dishes. Their seafood is always fresh - we had sauteed scallops which were fresh, succulent and sweet - and not overcooked. When in season, the sauteed pea leaves with garlic is tender and full flavored without the aftertaste that you get from spinach (from the iron content). We always love the hot red bean/tapioca soup that is complimentary for dessert - deliciously sweet and satisfying at the end of the meal - don't forget to ask for it from the waiter in substitution for the cold almond jello (which is also very tasty)."

"We had a party of 14 for Dim Sum and we were served quickly; the staff was very attentive; and the food was great! We loved our giant round table!! It's kind of noisy in there but we were having so much fun it wasn't an issue."

"We liked the food. Our overall experience was pretty good. Our only complain would be the food ladies were a bit too aggressive. Even before we were able to sit down, they were asking which food we wanted and started to loan our table with food. It was somewhat nice that they stopped by very often but also, we felt very rushed."

"The Peking Duck was great. They have a lobster dish that has a wonderful presentation but the flavor of the lobster is lost in the sauce. The soups were okay. There was a large menu, I think its worth going back to try more dishes. The wait staff were great, very accommodating."

"Hostess was friendly and polite. She quickly had my reservation and promptly seated us. We went for dim sum at 1:30pm. Not all if the dim sum items were available and some seemed less fresh than when you come at noon. I'll give the place a try again, but the dim sum was better at the Capitol Seafood in Irvine at the Alton/jamboree center."

"A true epicurean feast. Began dinner with Peking duck as an appetizer along with the soup dumplings . Duck, great! Dumplings, not . Had lobster in black bean sauce, walnut shrimp, chow fun noodles and peach mist sake! Delicious meal. Bring your own wine as corkage is only 15.00. Our waiter Jerry, was very helpful and sweet. Highly recommend an early reservation as it became really crowded by 7."
