411 West, an Italian restaurant in Chapel Hill, NC, specializing in seasonal fresh pastas, wood-fired pizzas, fresh seafood, steaks, and specials inspired by the flavors of Italy and the Mediterranean. Located on the west end of Franklin Street, Chapel Hill's main thoroughfare, 411 West is convenient to the campus of the University of North Carolina and a short drive from the Raleigh/Durham Airport (RDU) and the Research Triangle. "I absolutely loved this restaurant. Me and my date were looking for a new place to try, and came across 411 West. We were blown away by the quality of the restaurant. The home-made pastas are all delicious and incredibly reasonably priced. We had the Wood-Grilled Shrimp as a starter and then had the Whole-Wheat Fettuccine and the Lasagna Bolognese. Both were great. Definitely left happy and eager to return again. A great restaurant for a reasonable price!"

"The service was so rushed...The main course arrived before we had finished the salads, and the waiter was clearing the table of the main courses before everyone was finished. This was a Friday at 5:45 reservation..We were out of the restaurant in less than an hour. I won't be back unless I have to catch a flight and am in a hurry...Not relaxing at all"

"I've been for brunch and dinner. The brunch was quite good. Dinner was not. Pasta looked and tasted like it had sat out and dried, chicken was difficult to cut. Our waiter was attentive but unknowledgeable and forgot our salad. I think we hit them on a bad night and will probably give them another shot, but was not satisfied with first dinner."

"We were seated at a very small table for two beside an aisle and the bar area---very busy and noisy! Service was prompt; however, the waiter brought us the wrong salad. The artichoke spread appetizer was so garlicky, we only ate part of it. My Chicken Marsala was much too bland, but my husband enjoyed his entree. The Creme Brûlée was excellent. We had to ask for water and coffee. The dinner cost was moderate, but I don't think the restaurant was as good as it was several years ago when we dined there more frequently. I probably wouldn't choose it again any time soon!"

"I love 411, and the food is always good in my experience. I think the prices are reasonable and service also great. I tend to find the tables a bit too small (my husband is 6'2") so it sometimes feels a bit cramped at the table, but the experience otherwise is a treat."

"This was our second visit to 411. Chicken marsala was excellent (again) but the lemon linguine was a big disappointment. Server did not refill water glasses nor did he offer to get us another glass of wine when he delivered the dinners and our wine glasses were almost empty. He also did not offer a dessert menu - we had to ask for one. Will still visit this restaurant again, but will avoid dishes that could be flavorless and swim in oil. LOVE the half dish options -- perfect for us!"

"After waiting for about 10 minutes for a waitress to notice us (or to finish taking care of others) we were greeted and ordered. Food was very good. Pizzette for one of us and large Caesar and shrimp app for the other. Will return. But, waiters should take notice that lack of early attention is very bothersome, especially on game night or when other after dinner activities may be an issue."

"411 West is always good! Our group had the crab pasta, calzone, scallops and salmon, and all were very good. Desserts were good as well, especially the peanut butter pie. We go here every time we are in Chapel Hill."
